What Kind Of Player Will Become A Good Coach After Retired

Should Dhoni retire to become the new coach of the Indian cricket team?

G'day, great question. The problem with Dhoni retiring and becoming the Team India coach is that he is too close to the players, I don't mean in just friendships, which might be one reason he should not become coach. But that he is too close in the sense of he will have played with a lot of these guys and being a contemporary of theirs they won't listen to him, they would obviously respect him and his achievements, however they will also know his weaknesses. They having travelled with him on tours and being in very close proximity for such along time on tours, i believe would undermine his effectiveness as coach.I would suggest if Dhoni even wanted to go into coaching that he start with like the U19 Indian side, you know those kids would be in awe of him and would run through fire for him.He would get the ability to grow into the job of coaching as the transition can sometimes be a little tough to be the non-player.How many times has Dhoni strode to the crease and gotten his team out of trouble. Well as coach he can't do that anymore. That is very frustrating for an explayer when they can look down on the game and see what needs to be done, but the players being caught up IN the game can't see it.So Dohni shouldn't start as the coach of India's men's side, but give him (and India's) best chance of having a super coach a few years down the road by easing him into the role by doing his coaching level certifications and starting him with a national academy side or the U19 side.

Which current player would make a good GM or head coach?

Although the Canucks are not my favorite team I would say Trevor Linden. He wore the "C" for a number and despite not having it anymore he commands so much respect from his teammates and fans. He was already President of the NHLPA for a number of years and I believe (despite your personal views on the lockout) he had the best interests of hockey at heart. He is poised, intelligent and can handle the media well. And his Ice IQ is off the charts. While his numbers are not spectacular he like Craig MacTavish was the backbone of his team allowing the stars to shine. It is that kind of integrity you need in the front office and behind the bench.

Will Peyton Manning make a good football coach after he retires? Why or why not?

I believe Peyton Manning would make for a terrific Quarterback coach or offensive coordinator. Hard to say for head coach because that is such a big job. My guess is he would be a good head coach too. Peyton Manning isn't a typical star player. He's great, but the game doesn't come as easy to him as other great QBs because Peyton Manning isn't the most talented QB out there. He can't run/scramble. He doesn't have a rocket arm either. He throws up a lot of flutter balls. He isn't athletic. Also, he has overcome a lot of adversity. He has overcome 4 neck surgeries and having to change teams late in his career (I could imagine a lot of players losing love for the game when they've been betrayed the way he was, or simply seeing a significant drop off in production). So, Peyton isn't a freak of nature, so why is he so good? Easy. He's a QB genius. He reads defenses, calls plays, calls audibles, and finds ways to overcome his lack of raw talent. He even finds ways to overcome his age being an issue. As we saw against the final game of the 2015 regular season against the Chargers, he called many audibles. He made some really good throws, but his ability to audible out of plays and draw defenders off for neutral zone/offsides/encroachment penalties with the hard snap is very impressive. That's why the Broncos won the game. Also, the way his teammate's rally around him is only paralleled by Tom Brady, another terrific QB/leader. So, I think Peyton would make for a good head coach (he's already a player coach basically). The way his players rally around him is impressive. He can teach his QB to ready defenses and recognize blitzes and all that goes with it. He is a fantastic play caller as well. So, he is a different type of star. I believe he is the kind of star whose specialized skillset will transfer to being a great offensive coordinator, a great QB coach, and perhaps a great head coach as well.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo be a coach after retirement?

Messi is a legend . And the debate on Messi & CR , who is the best player, is still a hot debate like the Chicken and Egg paradigm. But one area that CR surely ahead of Messi is inspiring the co-players in the field even he is not in the 11. It was evident in Euro Cup Final in 2016 agaist France. In that aspect CR can be a good motivator to a team even after his retirement. But a coach is not only a motivator. He has to plan the strategies. He has to switch to Plan B if Plan A doesn’t work in the game, that even in between the game, Find the talents from the scouts, organising the team, has to have a good rapport with the team owners and management, defend the players in their low etc.A great player can be a good coach (like Zidan), on the other side he can be a disaster too( like Maradona). So CR has to prove his mettle as an assistant coach to a team before become a full time coach.

After retiring as a player, with which team did baseball great Babe Ruth spend one year as a coach?

Late in his career, he was the “assistant manager” of the Boston Braves (a few years before they moved to Milwaukee). He wanted to be a manager, badly, but the owner of the Braves at the time essentially knew that Ruth would be “good gate” (get people to the ballpark), so he signed Ruth to a contract to be assistant manager. That scene in the 1992 movie “The Babe”, where Ruth (played by John Goodman) has a difference of opinion with the manager and goes to visit the owner, but, he overhears the owner talking about keeping Ruth around because he’s good gate, is true. Ruth would play his final game at Forbes Field in Pittsburgh, where he hit three homers out of that cavernous stadium, and then, instead of shaking the manager’s hand after the third homer, takes his hat off and drops it at the manager’s feet. He was in such bad physical shape at the time that a “special pinch-runner” would touch second and third bases and home plate on his homers. For that last homer, he waved off the special pinch-runner.

Will MS Dhoni be a commentator or coach after his retirement?

He will never be a coach and commentator as here is the big reason behind that .He is very unorthodox kind of a person and doesn’t have a bellwether kind of opinion . He loves cricket and never sees it as a profession as he enjoys it. The main reason behind his early retirement from test cricket was his family as he wanted some time from so busy cricketing schedule. He never wanted to be a cricketer so he never saw it as a profession and also will never see it , a special thing which distinguishes him.So i am hundred and million percent sure he will never do that in future.EDIT: A support of this answer can be these lines said by M.S. Dhoni

Will Messi and Ronaldo be coaches after their retirement?

As far as I can see, Messi and Ronaldo are establishing a number of business ventures that ensures a good future for them, after they hang up their boots. Both could easily coach clubs that match their personaliies. While Messi could train the likes of Barcelona and Ajax, Ronaldo would be more suited for Manchester United, PSG or Real Madrid. Personally I don’t think these two guys would want to be Coaches of big, cut throat clubs for whom success matters the most.Messi might be more successful in starting a football academy for young kids, Kids would be best benefited from the genius of Messi when they are very young because of his personality, talent and temperament. Moreover Messi will be most comfortable with enthusiastic kids. He is a natural and he will find it easy to train and communicate with young players.Cristiano Ronaldo could venture into Showbiz and Modelling as its gives him attention and fame. Probably he would also run an academy with some of the best trainers in the world, though he may not be directly involved in coaching. He would be more of a mentor.Otherwise they could just sit back and become Football experts for TV channels like many of the former greats, which would be more enjoyable that taking up the pressures of being a Club or National Team Coach.(For my own selfish reasons, I would want Messi to be an expert commentator, because he is a fantastic analyzer. I can watch him every weekend and will not be missing him as much. I am also curious to know what goes through that unique brain of his, when it comes to football. )

Is there any flat foot players from the nfl currently and retired that was good?

Lionel Andres Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo Dos Santos Aveiro, two greats of our era and entire football history."If you ask an artist to create a perfect footballer he will create Messi. Messi is a magician, Ronaldo is a machine.Messi is the better pure player. Ronaldo the more effective.Messi is the better team player. Ronaldo better at carrying a team.No matter whom you prefer you have to agree that both are G.O.A.Ts.There were players like Zidane, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo De Lima even before LEONALDO era. Fans used to look on them as their idols. They cheered them, prayed for them, cried on their failure, got mad due to happiness when those players achieved something extraordinary. Your grandfather had his own idol, you father had his own and we of today’s generation have our own Messi and Ronaldo.Messi and Ronaldo will retire in a few years. Youngster will come, some will claim the throne of best player in the world and our children will find their idol. There were/are players who can win you a game. There are/were players who can win you a trophy, who can produce magic for a season or two. Then there are Messi and Ronaldo who are ruling world football for more than a decade. They are the ones who have defined a generation, producing magic in week and week-outs, game and game-outs. They have completely changed the history of football and took it to a very new height. In ancient time, there were thousands of kings in different parts of the world but Emperors, they were very few. And guess what Messi and Ronaldo are emperors, who conquered fucking everything on their way. As per law of nature new king will rise and throne will be replaced but the legacy emperor has left can be hardly replicated.
