What Kinda Work Out Do I Need To Get My Body In Shape For Pro Wrestling

Is the early 30's too old to start training for pro wrestling?

While the WWE may be considered a "young man's game", pro wrestling itself really isn't. The WWE wants generally young very fit very pretty "matinee star" types for television, and the odd "monster" or "freak" for some variety.

But if you're not a "WWE or nothing" kind of guy, you can train and become a pro wrestler. There are dozens of promotions all over North America, several promotions in Mexico, several in Japan, and lots more all over Europe. Being realistic, unless you're a Kurt Angle type of natural, you're going to have to "pay your dues" wrestling in the indies. You can apply to be trained by OVW or ROH's training camp and get the training, but that doesn't guarantee a spot on the TNA or ROH rosters. But once you're trained you shouldn't have any trouble finding places to work. Promoters all over are always looking for "the next big thing" or guys with potential they can mold into stars.

You don't give your location, but if location isn't a major factor, I'd suggest looking into CWF Hollywood (based in Hollywood, California), formerly the flagship NWA promotion (that ended several months ago due to a change in NWA management). CWF Hollywood is still a top-notch indy and we've seen several CWFH stars appear in TNA the past several months, most notably Joey Ryan. The new TNA commentator, Tod Kennely, is from CWFH, as well. Austin Aries is a CWFH alum. Colt Cabana, Antonio Cesaro (as Claudio Castignoli), and Adam Pearce, too. If you remember the last WWE's Tough Enough TV show you should remember the big guy Erik Watts. Watts is in CWFH right now.

The upshot is, if you have the desire, the training, and the commitment, early 30's is not a roadblock. If you want to be a pro wrestler, BE a pro wrestler.

How to get in wrestling shape fast!?

My first high school wrestling season is about to begin in about 2 weeks. I know its not really a lot of time to get in shape but I am already have decent shape because of football. I don't know if it matters but I have a 10.7 percent body and I at least want to be able to make it to the 3rd period.

Is lifting weights necessary for wrestling?

I love how the person above me just copy-pasted text from a webpage without citing the source, in order to make himself look educated.

But to answer your question, weight training is not necessary, but it could be helpful as a supplemental workout program. As a wrestler, your main targets are speed, endurance strength and stamina. Weight traning and muscle mass are only necessary for professional wrestling "actors" that needs to possess a "good looking" body as visual stimulation for the horny women in attendance.

If WWE's professional wrestling moves are fake, how come superstars got injured so bad they were forced to retire?

Because there are multiple definitions for the word “fake.”In the case of professional wrestling it’s a scripted, live action stunt show wherein athletic men and women portray characters that work together in order to make a story happen before your eyes. They’re like stunt people for movies, only they have hardly any protection at all.Like movies and TV shows, professional wrestling is fiction. It’s planned, plotted, and scripted.Just like people still get hurt (and sometimes die) doing stunts on movie sets, wrestlers also get hurt sometimes when something goes wrong.Wear and tear over the physical stress of a demanding athletic job accumulates over time and can also lead to injuries. Most NFL players have a career that lasts less than 5 years due to the grueling physical demands required to play the game at the incredibly intense level of athleticism required. The competitive nature of the NFL means that players that don’t play so well any more due to being banged up and worn out are a liability to have on a team.A few decades ago Lloyd’s of London who give big time professional wrestlers insurance policies akin to what they would give NFL or NBA players. But it turns out that injuries that would be considered career ending for an NFL or NBA player will be something a wrestler can recover from and continue to have a career, though they may need to change the way they do things.Being a pro wrestler is just as physically demanding as playing football or basketball.

Really scared for my health after Wrestling season...?

You probably overdid it during wrestling season.

Remember: supplements are not meant to be the primary focus when meeting goals, they are just there to help you reach those goals.

I think you'll be fine in the long run, you shouldn't worry about it that much. Make sure you constantly exercise after bulking up (especially if you took the help of certain substances) because it will turn to fat in no time. Also, make sure that the food you are eating and the drinks you are drinking are healthy. Beer, soda, burgers and fries taste great but it won't be long before you feel like **** for giving into temptation.

In the future, how can I become a wrestler in World Wrestling Entertainment?

before starting your wrestling training you should work on your body and muscles. and when you`re physically in a good shape, you can go to FCW classes and in that period of time, you should work very hard.after that FCW classes are finished,if you got any talent, you will be chosen to be a member of FCW roster. as you know FCW is now the best way to join WWE.

Is there a good workout plan, that will get is similar shape as most MMA fighters?

Crossfit, P90X, and the Insanity wrkout is good stuff to start out with. Here is something you can try:

1. 80 Pushups in 2 min
2. 80 Situps in 2 min
3. 2 mile run in 14 min or less
5. Run 10 miles at own pace
6. 20 Pullups
7. 20 Chinups

As for weights:

1. Bench press 20 lbs over your body weight... do this 5 times 5 times. When you are done with each rep do 10 pushups.
2. When done do weighted situps. Try to do 45 with a 45lb weight.
3. Dumbell Curls - Use what you are comfortable with. 8 sets of 8.
4. Straight bar curls - 90lbs or 100. Do 10, drop down do 10 pushups, do 9 curls, drop down 9 pushups, do 8 curls, etc. Down to 1.
5. Squats. 10 sets of 10
6. Bag work for 30 min
7. etc.

Don't want to get too lengthy but this should help.
