Do Indians watch Korean movies and which is the best you have seen yet?

According to wikipedia, India ranks first in terms of annual film output and that proves how crazy we are about movies. Along with regional Indian cinema we watch English, French, Korean movies etc..I try to watch all the Korean movies with good ratings on the internet, and few of my favorites areMemories of Murder : An exceptional murder mystery film told in a simple way.Oldboy: Great movie with good action sequences and suspense.I Saw the Devil : Filled with raw violence that makes you rethink who the devil is, hero or villain.Mother : Another decent murder mystery. My Sassy Girl: Love story of a teenage couple, similar on the lines of "A walk to remember"Suspect X : Mind game of two genius intellectuals, one trying to cover up a crime and the other trying to expose it.A Millionaire's First Love : Love story of a spoiled millionaire teenager.Sympathy for Lady Vengeance : Totally different story of revenge.

DRAMASAs you have only watched Descendants of the Sun, I assume you are quite new to Kdrama world. I guess you might like to watch new dramas. Out of hundreds of kdramas that air every year, there were many good dramas that were popular in 2016. This is a Sports University Romance.2. W- Two Worlds - Fantacy Romance story which a cartoon character’s world and real world.3. Moonlight Drawn by Clouds - Historical Romance which a girl cross-dress as a man and falls in love with a prince.4. The Legend of the Blue Sea - Fantacy Romance around a mermaid and a con-man5. Cheese in the Trap - Hmmm……. University Romance I’d say. Must warn you it has an abrupt ending.6. Six Flying Dragons - Only if interested in Korean History. Pretty long drama with 50 episodes.7. Doctors (a.k.a Doctor Crush) - Another medical romance8. The K2 - A melodrama with action9. Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo - Another Historical Romance10. Guardian: The Lonely and Great God a.k.a Goblin - Has everything from history, fantasy, romance, comedy.MOVIESThere are so many Korean good movies that I have watched, without knowing a particular genre it is difficult to name a few.But you can start with the following and let me know if you need more recommendations. These are purely based on what I like.

What is the best movie you've ever watched out of Korean, Japanese and Chinese movies?

Really good Korean movies - Lady Vengeance it is a trilogy if you would like this one please, look for other two movies from trilogy; Oldboy; The Chaser; Memories of Murder; The Admiral. Keep in mind that Korean movies are notorious for being violent and bloody but that is not the point. Cinematography and plot are really original and actors are doing great job to keep it all together. For Japanese movies I think the best are anime movies. It doesn’t mean that they don’t have a great cinema, but they have Hayao Miyazaki, and that summarizing a lot of greatness. However, movies are following: 13 Assassins; Zatoichi; Rashomon; The Twilight Samurai; Like Father, Like Son.Chinese cinema taking a lot from developed and accepted Hong Kong movies and I am going to list them together. Ip Man; Internal Affairs; of course, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon; In the Mood for Love; To Live; City of Life and Death. This is not a full list, very far from it. however, watching these movies will give an idea and suggestions what to see next.

Which is the best Korean movie you have watched recently? Why? Question is only for non-Koreans.

I recently watched Forgotten (2017).Not the best but you will appreciate the twist and turns, the acting is great. It follows the same path as other Korean thrillers but surprisingly keeps you interested till the end.A good one time watch.I recently watched other movies too but these are also not the best as you asked in the question. The Chase (2017)Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds (2017)Ordinary Person (2017)The Merciless (2017)The Outlaws (2017)
