What Laptop/tablet Should I Get For College

Tablet or Laptop for College?

Well, you know, for college the best laptop is with the size 13.3 or 14 inches.
You can buy a Apple Macbook Pro or Air, but no need.
Acer have an awesome series of laptop called Timeline with 14 inches
Hp has a couple of good one too.
Dell, if you buy an 14 inches Inspiration one, its okay, but its kinda thick
Sony, on the inside, its okay, but the outside, it sucks
Tablet, are okay, but remember this: Tablets don't have that much space for you to install stuff on and save documents

What laptop should I get for college?

I would recommend looking for a thin and light laptop. Current ultrabooks can easily handle all your school requirement. With a light laptop, you get more portability to take it any where. Your backpack will get so much more lighter.A good battery life is always helpful. You don’t want to search a seat next to power plugs in class. In terms of configuration, I will definitely buy one with SSD and highest RAM I can afford.

What tablet should I get for college?

Cool, an easy one! The tablet I would get is a yellow legal tablet. As in the kind you write on. With a pen or a pencil. Cool, an easy one! The tablet I would get it is a yellow legal tablet. As in the kind you write on. With a pen or a pencil.First, there's strong scientific evidence that handwritten notes are far more valuable than typed notes (add a comment if you want info about this). Second, you won't be tempted to check out Facebook, email, or other social media, and thus distract yourself. Third, these cost less than a dollar if you buy them in a multipack:Amazon.com : TOPS The Legal Pad Legal Pad, 8-1/2 x 11-3/4 Inches, Perforated, Canary, Legal/Wide Rule, 50 Sheets per Pad, 12 Pads per Pack (7532) : Legal Ruled Writing Pads : Office ProductsYes, I making a bit of a joke about the word “tablet”. However, I'm 100% serious. When I was a grad student, I tried taking notes on my laptop. It was a bad idea, and I went back to notebooks. Paper notebooks, that is. The reason I'm more in favor of legal pads now is that you can tear off perforated pages, and put them in a 3 ring binder in the order that best makes sense for future study.Note that the linked pads are not legal pads in the traditional sense. Traditional legal pads are longer and the sheets wouldn't fit into a normal binder.

Should I buy a tablet instead of laptop for college?

A good option is a laptop/tablet hybrid like Windows' Surface. They have touch screens and removable/fold-able keyboards. There are options out there even for tight budgets. Personally, a laptop is the way to go. You can do much more with them, and if you get a tablet with Windows on it, you may find that it's not entirely touch friendly. Typing on a laptop is much easier, while on a tablet your thumbs will get tired after a while. Our society hasn't entirely grown into tablets yet. They're mostly just luxurious toys, and I love them. They're not so practical yet, especially for students and those in the work place. What I have for school is a laptop with a 17.3 inch screen, with touch capability (more fun than practical). I take notes in class the old fashioned way, then type my assignments and do research at home with ease and convenience because I have plenty screen space and a full sized keyboard. Best of luck!

What laptop/tablet should I get?

For Comp Sci it didn't really matter what OS I used, For business I had some classes that used Windows applications.I would suggest that you get a Mac laptop. When I graduated college I got a Mac laptop and ironically I think I used the MacOS for maybe a couple hours and used Windows the rest of the time. You are already used to MacOS and have Software that can be installed on your laptop, plus I think through BootCamp you can install WinOS or Linux if you need it. The big Downfall for the MacOS I can think of is price. You talk about the surface, its kinda expensive and the keyboard sucks when you have to write a paper or large section of code.

Which laptop tablet should I buy for college, the Lenovo Yoga 520 or the Microsoft Surface Pro 4?

It is totally Depends on you that which Laptop you will choose to buy.First of all you have to Keep in Mind the Important Specification of both the Laptops. And in My Opinion the Both Have almost Same Specifications excluding Prise and Some Hardware. In my Vision, Both Laptop Tablets are best But if you wanna keep some Class of your then you should Go for Surface Pro 4 because it looks Classic and If you Are looking for Moderate Budget then you should Go For Yoga 520 but the Interface and the Services Provide by Microsoft are Best and As I Read that the Microsoft Surface Pro is Worth the Cost so You Can Go for it. But Microsoft don't have that much Service Centers so If you wanna look for More Service Centres then You Should Go for Lenovo. And As I already said that Both a almost Similar so you can Find out which suits you best and Can Go for it.Best Of Luck....

Should I get a laptop or an iPad for college?

Hey everyone, I'm starting college in the fall and I saved up money. I was just wondering if y'all would recommend either a MacBook for college (or any other laptop) or an iPad Pro? Thanks

Is a laptop or tablet better for school?

I would recommend a laptop. When it comes to studying and research, it would be much safer to have a laptop that's able to open almost all types of files and use all compatible software, than a tablet that's very limited compared to a laptop.

Let's say, for example, you need to write an essay, you have Google Docs and Microsoft Office available on both devices, but you're able to have access to multiple tabs on the internet much faster on a laptop, you have a properly sized keyboard and the guaranteed ability to print.

You can pick up some really good value for money laptops online, and they're much more convenient than a tablet. Plus, you can try gaming as well.

Should I buy a laptop or a tablet?

Go for a laptop for compatibility with most programs that you will need in school. Only get a tablet if you already have a good laptop.

They all have HDMI so you can hook it to your TV and watch movies. Just be aware that they are not gaming laptops. If you need to play games then you need to double your budget.
