What Length Jewelry To Buy For Triple Helix Piercing

What jewellery to use with a forward helix piercing?

For the person who originally came up witht he idea, the piercer used three 18g 1/4" Neometal thread less titanium press-fit posts with bezel-set CZs in graduated sizes.

"bezel-set CZs" is the actual jewels/gems. (not really relevant to the type of jewellery, but thought you'd like to know).
18g is the gauge, the thickness of the bar.
1/4" is the length of the bar. The thicker your cartilage the longer the bar should be.

But if you go to professional just ask about the type of jewellery, and what would be best. be sure to go to a tattoo/piercing shop with a good reputation. Avoid referrals from friends, go to one that is actually good. I've seen too many messed up triple forward helixes in my area for it to be funny.

Where can I buy jewelry for my forward helix piercing?

I only got one and every time I google it, all I'm seeing is jewelry for the triple forward helix piercing and I don't need 3, just one. I want something small because right now I have this huge silver ball and I don't like it. I think it's either a 14 or 16 gauge and its a curved barbell. I want a small gem or diamond type stud. any suggestions where I can order or find one? or what other piercing jewelry will work in this piercing? thanks.

Jewelry for forward helix piercing?

did you go to a tattoo shop? i have a regular helix piercing thats about the same size as the top stud. mine is made of titanium and is less bulkier than the jewelry at claires. i think mines about 1 or 2 mm. just search for small studs that are thinner than those awful claires ones. go to piercing parlors! im 99% sure theyll sell something similar to what your looking for. but they might be a bit pricey. mine were 56 for 2 studs.

What piercing jewellery do you put in a forward helix?

Neometel is the brand.

Changing forward helix jewelry?

Once my triple forward helix piercings are healed, I want to change the jewelry to CZ diamond studs. I want the diamonds to start out bigger on the bottom piercing and gradually get smaller towards the top, but i don't know how to determine the size of diamonds to get...I've seen 2mm, 3mm, 5mm but that didn't help me at all lol.I also don't know where to purchase the jewelry at..please help me figure this out.thanks!

Is it ok to change a helix piercing to another stud after 4 weeks of it being done?

Please do not change out your initial piercing so soon. A helix piercing needs a lengthy amount of time to heal and settle. Initial jewelry can sometimes not be the most attractive, but it's very important to not cause undue trauma to this healing piercing. Six months has been the earliest jewelry in cartilage can be changed out as this connective tissue in the body has the slowest healing time due to a lack of blood flow directly into it.When you do want to change it out, for the first time go see your piercer. And changes for the first year or two shouldnt be constant. Find something you enjoy and wear it all the time.

Can you put an earring for a tragus in a helix (cartilage) piercing, and why or why not?

If it's the same gauge as your helix piercing and the length fits. 316L Surgical Steel is really really crap quality jewelry though, I wouldn't ever wear it in my body...that's why it's only $10.

Keep in mind you still have 6-12 months before it's healed to change. Make sure you're doing sea salt soaks twice a day for 5-10 minutes each soak to keep it clean.

What size generally is a helix hoop piercing with the 2 balls?

Depends on the wear space required. That is something that needs to be measured for each and every individual. As a side point don’t wear those rings in a helix. They are called circular barbells and will catch on basically everything, hair, clothing, bed sheets, loofas, towels, hats etc. wear a fully solid ring that is enclosed such as ball capture rings or segment/hinged rings as those types do not catch on anything and will allow your piercing to take less injury. This applies to both fully healed helix piercings and also ones that are new/fresh healing.
