Can I obtain a concealed weapons permit in Nevada if I’m no longer a resident of the state?

You certainly can. I have a non-resident permit issued by Nevada and another one issued by UT. I obtained them for when i travel out of state. I am a resident of CA. They allow me to carry in the many states that have reciprocity agreements with either state.I live only a few hours drive from Reno so I took my CCW class there. The class allowed me to apply for both permits. The person conducting the class was also certified to take the fingerprints for the UT permit so I could mail it off right after the class. The class I took also had arrangements with the Sheriff’s department so they took us by bus to the Sheriff’s department to do the fingerprinting and paperwork for the NV permit. They had arranged an appointment for us ahead of time so there was no waiting.

This is the first place I check when I have questions about US knife laws. The Knife News MagazineNevada Knife Laws

NRS 202.350 Manufacture, importation, possession or use of dangerous weapon...

EDIT

You said:
"Now that i know they are illegal, can i still carry them?"

They are illegal, so of course, you CAN'T carry them, that would be "Possession" of an illegal weapon, and carrying a "concealed weapon".

Besides you are a minor, it's was illegal to sell you those on the first place. You are supposed to throw them away.

Can i put a loaded pistol in my vehicle? (NEVADA)?

The common definition for a concealed weapon in a car is if it is

a) easily accessible
b) loaded

If you can reach it without much trouble it counts as concealed. It could be loaded and chambered in your trunk however and not be concealed. Now I know a lot of people get away with it by locking it in their glove compartment, because police need a warrant to look in there. But this becomes a problem if you ever need to get out your registration when you get pulled over... I would recommend you just go get a CCW if possible, they're not hard to obtain unless you have a criminal record.. but if you do then you're not really allowed to own a gun so it's up to you. Do not just leave it under your seat though, that's asking for trouble. You can get away with it a million times but you only have to get caught once to end up in a LOT of trouble.

Will casinos take my passport or concealed carry license as valid identification?

A suggested, almost anyplace will accept a valid passport as proof of your identity and age.As far as casinos I can only speak to Las Vegas, where I live. It is not illegal to carry a concealed firearm into a casino in Nevada, as in there is no Nevada law prohibiting this activity and sign stating “no guns” or “Gun Free Zone” have no force of law. Any business owner can, however, request that you leave the premises and if you do not comply can have you arrested for trespass. Most casinos, on discovering that you are armed, will send (armed) security to request that you leave, sometimes with considerable emphasis on the time and speed of your departure. They will also politely but firmly suggest that you NEVER show your face in their establishment again. So…Using a concealed firearms permit as a form of identification in a Las Vegas casino? Not a really good idea.
