Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, always remember that! Find what fits you best. I always thought that small, mysterious eyes looked better on myself but one day I tried a makeup style that widened my eyes and made them look big and bright and found that to fit me better. I always get more compliments when my hair is straightened and that sleek, polished look is something that I find a lot of guys like. Since you are going to a dress up event I recommend you go for the polished look. Depending on your age, you can dress maturely (ie. skirt, black tights, heeled sandals, tucked in top and a blazer, statement necklace) or more flirty and fun... well yea its a combination of things as an art major, physical beauty is symmetry and proportion as humans, we love those things and it is beautiful to us. someone who is beautiful could have high cheekbones, a sharp jaw, well structured bone in skull, nice arch in eyebrows these are beauty essentials in facial lining: -eyes cannot be too far apart -nose cannot be too big - a perfect mouth, full lips -high forehead -chin -eye crease your face has to have complete proportion from top, bottom, side..etc if youve heard of the number phi in the body: it is proportionality as well -length of torso -long legs these are the marks of beauty, the rest just enhance these features, like eyecolor, hair style, makeup, clothes, clear skin..etc

its all about the appearance, everyone can be pretty but its all about how you portrait yourself, like for instance, take a very bland boring girl who might not be classified as very pretty and then another girl who everyone thinks is stunning if you take that very bland boring girl and give her some layers and hightlights, give her eyebrows a wax, put some makeup on, put her in a push up bra and shove some clothes on thats not too baggy and not too tight, get some nice heels and perhaps a manicure, she'll be just as pretty as the other girl its true as well that if you feel good, you look good
