What Makes Western Culture Vastly Superior To Islamic Culture

Why did the West become Superior but the rest of the World Primitive?

It is true that people in general are not equal, because of their individual differences.

And since a "race" is a collection of individuals, it is not true that races are equal either.

Your are right to reject these doctrines as obviously nonsense.

Why the West became superior is a long story. It goes back to the Greeks and Romans.

There were a number of main factors:
1. tradition of rational inquiry. Rational inquiry means trying to find relations of cause and effect
a) that comply with the principles of logic, and
b) without referring to supernatural beings as part of the explanation.

This is the basis for science and technology, and rational thinking in general.

2. Development of institutions for limiting government power. This enabled capital accumulation, which is the precondition of the greater wealth of the Westerners, which other nations are now copying.

3. Prevalence of Christian ethics among the West, which, for all its faults, gave the West a more individualistic and humanitarian outlook, compared to other cultures.

However, in the final analysis, all the achievements of the West are still the result of individual human action. People from Africa, Asia and so on, raised as Westerners, are capable of acting by the same lights.

However in reality, the Westerners have an advantage over all the non-Westerners, even those raised in the West, because the Westerners grow up in Western households, and have received the traditions of their ancestors with their mothers' milk.

That's why the West continues to be the fountain of modernity, and why the best all the other peoples can do is copy the white man.

Look at all the modernity of Indonesia, or the productions of China. Take away all that were not invented in the West, and they would be back to the 15th century.

Is Egyptian culture older than Chinese culture?  If it is, then why do the Chinese claim the opposite?

Egyptian civilization and culture date to a little before 3000 BCE (you can trace it back even further, but this is when writing developed in Egypt) although there were changes to Egyptian culture when it was conquered by the Greeks, Romans, and Muslims, respectively.  Egyptian civilization was actually preceded by the Sumerians, who developed writing in about 3400 BCE.The first Chinese dynasty that archaeologists are sure existed is the Shang Dynasty, which started around 1600 BCE.  Chinese writing can be traced back to the late Shang Period in 1200 BCE.So the Chinese aren't the oldest civilization.  The Chinese might have an argument for the oldest continuous civilization, though.  Many Egyptians self-identify as Arabs, and Arabs can only trace their written history back to about 400 CE.However, the Vedas originated around 1700 BCE in India, and still influence Indian culture today.  So I would argue that Indian culture slightly predates Chinese culture.  On the other hand, not everyone places as much importance on writing as I do.As for why the Chinese assert this, I would say that the Chinese are a very nationalistic people with a strong emphasis on history and tradition.  Who doesn't want to be the oldest/"best"?
