Try and find the closest matching polish in navy blue. That will look sharp together. As for makeup you want to keep the eye colors in the warm tones with a navy accent. I will explain. A light beige or similar light gold as a base color. Using a pony tail brush apply that type of color from lash to brow bone. This will give you a color wash for a base. You can either accent the navy as an eyeliner color or in the corners of your eye. Make sure to blend. You don’t want to take away from the dress but you want to have them compliment each other. If you choose the navy as an eyeliner, which I am leaning towards, use a brownish in the crease and corners. Make sure you blend. Keep the lips in the nude category with maybe an accent of gold shimmer. You will look so stunning that your date may be google eyed at you all night! As far your nails, I would probably do a french manicure if you are getting them done, or paint them silver to match for a little extra glitz. I am not sure what kind of complexion you have, but lipstick would be appropriate. Maybe you could go to your local mall and get you makeup done. They are really good and if you buy just like one product, they usually do your makeup for free. That way you would be able to see all colors of lipsticks and shadows if you choose to wear makeup. Also, hit up some silver heels. They would look fantastic! As far as the jewelry- sparkles all the way!!! Cubic zirconia is a cheap alternative, or you can get the $5 pack of earrings and bracelets at the mall "cheapie" jewelry stores. What eye makeup color would best complement a navy blue prom dress and silver accessories?
My prom is tomorrow (April 28th) and I still have no idea on how I should do my makeup. My dress is pretty glamorous without being too tacky... Navy blue, slightly iridescent, beading, and I have TONS of bedazzled sliver accessories.... A rhinestoned bracelet, dangle-y earrings, Silver glitter platform pumps, a sparkly little glitter clutch, Not to mention my extremely blingy corsage. With all of this going on, I don't want to match my eye makeup to the dress color, really, and I'm thinking maybe I should keep the makeup a little more simple.... So please don't tell me to do my lid silver and my crease navy blue... I tried it already, and it didn't work well. So, my question is, how would you suggest I do my makeup? Oh, and I always wear winged liner, so, tomorrow will be no different. Thanks to everyone in advance.
