It probably isn't one. A lot of artists just make pretty pictures. Some also make them for games, or a picture such as this could be a clip from a scene used in a PC game. Most pictures like the ones I'm talking about have a certain look about them. it's kinda hard to describe. I could be wrong, but again, i doubt it's from a show. And if i AM wrong, good luck finding the right answer!

The girl looks like Haruhi Suzumiya from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. I don't think that ever happened in the show or light novels, so it's probably a doujin.

I read this manga once and it was yaoi/shounen-ai and I remember the main character let his hair grow out so that it could cover a scar on his face or something and he had a friend squirrel.
