What Mood Persuades Most Of The Paragraph

How should I comfort a girl in a bad mood?

Depends how well you know her and also what happened. I don’t personally tolerate negativity pointing at me or verbal abuse. But if it’s just that you see her in a mood, something is up then you need to have already know her well. For example some girls..Like to just be left alone and no solution talk. Logical. Some don’t want you to do anything and they will then talk in their own time. Just don’t go off giving solutions. Instead listen and when girl is done, hug her and say how awesome she is for being so strong, and taking it all so well ;)Some will have a smile on their face when you cook their favourite dish and they smell the food, their mood changes and hugs kicking off. Some will see the ice cream you just banged on table and they grab it, eat it and even walk up to you and say, “I’m sorry. Just a bad day for me.”Some will want you to just sit next to them and say nothing for them to nuzzle up to you. Some will want you to say nothing and you just stroke and cuddle. The only way I ever found out what, how, when, why, is I always learnt all I can about the woman. Even to how they want to have sex, foreplay, how, when, where, and so forth to boundries etc.I mean everything and there is so much to know. I get that but things like this I would have known in first few weeks of being with the woman.Man of experience knows who he is dating and in relationship with.Go to the source, get to know her more, I mean, really know her…when…she…cools off.

What makes a poem good? How do you recognize a good poem?

A good poem has to be appealing to the eye in that it draws the reader in through how it looks at first glance. After initial impressions then some sort of thread of a story has to begin to form with evocative language and description which actually makes you care. Something that can draw you in with its sense of emotion and intensity which is illustrated in the pace the poem takes. The rhythm shouldn't be used in a tacky rhyme sense, though sometimes this can be used to advantage, but to illustrate the drama (or lack of) that is going on.

For me a good poem makes everything else stop for one moment while you digest what you've just read. A bit like a story really. The beauty is in the language for me and the story that is told.

From a more critical point of view the theme is the main concern and how the poet illustrates this is primary with the results of this being secondary.

But just as with everything it all comes down to personal preference!

Please proofread this essay?

I think you should put "The writer of The Great Influenza" in quotation marks like this, as it is a book title, correct? Other than that, the punctuation and everything seems good :)

In literature, why is imagery effective?

The shortest answer to this is the age old ‘because a picture is worth a thousand words.” Imagery is also effective because it allows the reader to create the scene in their mind, and if it is used in subtle, high level ways it allows the user to create the scene in their own perception, thus making a connection to memories and whatnot. In my book I tried to create imagery a lot, because in the process of trying to convey the gravity of war, I quickly found that mere descriptive (boring) words can’t even come close to painting a picture for someone that conveys gravity, scale, and in my case, horror.
