What Moves Do I Need To Make To My Fantasy Roster Plus Rate It

What makes someone good at fantasy baseball versus just lucky?

Anyone who says there’s no luck involved in Fantasy Sports is fooling themselves. However, this is not to say, it is completely without skill. The interplay between luck and skill can most easily be seen in poker. If you pay attention to poker tournaments, different people win virtually all events held. The best players might get to 10 tournament wins in their lifetime. Because to win, you need the luck of the draw. However, if you look at a particular player who enters 15 tournaments over the course of a year, wins one, and makes the final table in 13 of 15; an outcome like that moves beyond the luck aspect. Same is true in fantasy baseball. I think I’m good because I’ve won my share of leagues, but the telling thing is that I’ve finished out of the playoffs only 3 times in twenty years with only once falling in the bottom half of a league, and many years I’ve played in more than one league (usually 3–5). This moves beyond what statistical chance by enough that it can’t simply be luck. You can also count the money won (most league give out prizes to not just the overall winner, but to second and third) And in the hierarchy of fantasy games year long rotisserie fantasy baseball utilizes the most skill. The long season means that teams and players encounter hot streaks and cold ones, and you get a better picture of who they really are. You’re not looking just at a weekend or a 16 games like in Football, where the good bounces can make one seem better than they are for a while. The being good at fantasy baseball is the capacity to look at a player and being able to differentiate between a bad player and simply a bad run on a good player. The tools to do this are visual scouting and statistics; those who are good at fantasy baseball can find real meaning in watching a player bat or by looking at the wide variety of stats to understand the true nature of the player.Like I said, it takes skill to consistently be good at the game. Luck is there, and sometimes Luck propels you forward, while sometimes Luck ruins your year. It’s only through the longer term picture of someone’s results that you can understand who is good and who is not.

Is this a good fantasy hockey team?

You for sure have a well balanced team here, lots of players that will get you points. However I'll give it a go at 10 points of improvement for you...

- You lack some proverbial star power (ie. An Ovechikin, Crosby, Malkin, Thornton, Lecalvier) So don't expect anybody from your roster to post triple digit numbers...
- You have a very strong Defence, all of which are point producers, therefore you may consider moving one of those guys in a package deal to land a 100 point producer.
- One big thing that sticks out for me is that you should have Dustin Brown as your utility guy instead of Jason Blake, way more upside.
- I would also consider taking Ray Whitney off your roster and replacing him with one of your bench guys (Zajac, or acquire someone else via trade) It's just a gut feeling of mine that he is on his way down hill
- You might want to find a better defenceman to have on your bench because although you have a solid blueline... Defencemen tend to be streaky in their point production and therefore you may need another guy to sub in when one of your starters is cold.
- I would trade Backstrom... He is a good goalie on a bad team, and therefore his stats will not be as high as a mediocre goalie on a good team. The points you receive from your goalie in a hockey pool are more of a reflection of the team then the individual between the pipes. Perhaps swap him for a guy like Osgood and a solid bench player who can step in and give you points.
- Remember to pay attention to your starting goalies!! Keep a nice rotation going depending on the success of the team they play for
- I assume this is a Yahoo pool... So remember to keep an eye on the free agent pool, you would be surprised as to who guys skim over in the draft.
- Consider putting a top notch prospect on your bench, a guy like Tavares, Filatov or Hodgson could be passed over in a draft and come up and put up a lot of points in the season.
- Last thing... Just trade Blake all together... No leaf is a good leaf... lol

Well theres my 2 cents, take it or leave it...
Good luck!!

10 or 12 team fantasy football league?

I'm in a 10-team fantasy football league that is voting on moving to a 12-team league. For the most part our scoring is relatively standard.

The main thing I like about 10 is that you can have a little bit of depth - 1 injury doesn't necessarily put you out of the running. Plus our existing 10 owners are a pretty good group. But - the added challenge of 12-teams is interesting, too. What do you think?

Who would you put on the roster of a Suicide Squad-style Marvel team?

So I am going with the a six person roster like the first modern team (Suicide Squad (New Earth)).With that being said, I would also like to state that, with this team, I am also trying to go for a similar feel to that version of the team as well. Where the members are not really popular characters. Giving them:The room for growth within the team (on a more narrative level). While also allowing for them to be expendable, and easily killed.I figured I would use a mix of characters as well (like the original). With varying degrees of popularity and backstory. And in general, just tried to be fun.Mark Hazzard (Marcus Hazzard (Earth-148611)). Following in the vein of other characters from the New Universe (New Universe) line that have made their way to the mainstream continuity… I would bring Mark Hazzard into the fold. I figure that a former soldier-turned-mercenary, who took up that trade because of a lack of purpose. Just have him become recommissioned to lead this team. Really should not have a problem with the line of work this team is involved in.Mandrill (Jerome Beechman (Earth-616)). Mutant with the ability to control minds via pheromones. Multiple wives. The general appearance of a baboon. And enhanced physical powers as well. This guy has it all. Prime Suicide Squad level villain.Master Pandemonium (Martin Preston (Earth-616)). Former actor, who now has demons for appendages. Can summon and control hordes of demons. Along with some general magic powers as well. I figured for this character, he would be on the lower end of his powers.Knockout (Elizabeth Rawson (Earth-616)). Perennial member of all female villain groups. Super-strength. Durability. Along with being a skilled fighter. She is one of those lesser known characters that I feel would fit well into the team.Nuke (Frank Simpson (Earth-616)). Crazy, super-patriotic cyborg who is hooked on pills. Who has a wide knowledge of combat (weapons, tactics, and unarmed combat). And has also been “killed” a bunch. So you would not have to worry about him. As he can be taken out, only to put back into the field later. Probably one of the longer term characters because of this fact.Bombshell (Wendy Conrad (Earth-616)). I mean, come on. A criminal, with an expertise in explosives… who also juggles as a main part of their gimmick. That is classic Suicide Squad right there.

Is there a type of career mode in nba live 08?

In 08 there is dynasty mode where you choose a team and take over as there GM pretty much. You play the games, trade, sign and draft players its pretty fun! Right now though I would spend a few more dollars and get NBA Live 09 because the game play is a lot better plus you can get all the updated rosters.
