What should I expect from going to the movies with a girl?
Oh man, the first trip to the movies is the hardest. My first movie "date" I was 15 and a boy I was friends with asked me to go see Titanic with him (yeah, I'm old). That was *THE* date movie that year and all of my girl friends made a huge deal out of it saying how we were going to to make out and told me how to act and dress. It made me so nervous that I could barely enjoy the movie because I was so self conscious.Near the end of the movie I got up the courage to put my arm on the arm rest with my palm facing up, hoping he would notice and hold my hand. It took him an eternity (at least 10 minutes) to figure it out but then we were holding hands! It was the most exciting thing ever. I guess what I am trying to say is that she is probably just as uncertain about what to do in this situation as you are. It's okay to say you are nervous. It's even okay to ask before you go in if she wants to hold your hand (or more) during the movie. In fact it is always okay to ask a girl if she is interested in what you have in mind. Consent is really important to us ladies, practicing and learning about it now will make you the kind of man women want to be with.I don't recommend the "arm around the shoulders" move at first, mostly because movie theater seats make it a little weird and awkward. You might want to save the kissing for after the movie as well, it is really nicer not to have to twist around sideways to kiss someone.One more thing, I highly suggest you read some articles on body language. You can often tell what a person is thinking and feeling by the way they move their body, where they look with their eyes, what they are doing with their hands etc. This is extremely useful knowledge will help you in this situation and for the rest of your life. Really hope you enjoy the movie and that you get closer with this girl if that is what you both want.
