What Movie Is This Scene From A Man Being Forced To Watch The Consequences Of What He Did

Which Faces of Death movie had the scene with the man trying to film the bear while his wife is feeding it?

Faces of Death (1979)

This is the most infamous of all Mondo Movies and with out a doubt the most vicious exploitation title ever filmed. This pseudo documentary features the aptly titled Dr. Frances B. Gross, as he studies death and how fragile live can be. The film opens with scenes of a catacomb in Mexico where we see mummified corpses, all of this is genuine and pretty much benign. We then proceed to a slaughterhouse where we witness animals prepared for our dinner table. We then witness one of the most infamous scenes in the film, a group of restaurant patrons are seated, entertained with music and alcohol and then are given a monkey to bash with a mallet. Afterward they eat the brains and the look on the patrons face's shows they are not quite happy with their meal. The films also features animal attacks on people and in many cases these are quite laughable, one worth noting has a stupid couple feeding a bear, an adjacent vehicle records the grim results of the subsequent attack by the bear on the stupid man. For the rest of the film what we end up with is a mix of stock footage from accidents and disasters which were real and a small number of staged incidents which give the film its infamous reputation. The film is supposedly banned in over 40 countries.

[Probably reenacted, unless the rescuers really had some guy rappel down the shaft with them carrying a camera.]

1:12:52 Bear attack. 2 cars with tourists. Man gets out of one car to film as woman throws bread to the bear. Dialogue ("Be careful, Bob. Bob, be careful.") is recorded across a cut from Bob's camera to the one in the other car. Bear rears up over Bob. Woman screams "Oh my God!", and car horn blows, all recorded by other camera 50 or 60 feet away. Bob's-eye view of bear's face in extreme close-up. No shot of bear actually mauling Bob, just eating some raw meat. Jumpy shot of bear leaving with unidentifiable object in mouth.

[Staged. This time, though, the camera angles are actually consistent with two cameras in or near the cars, with one exception. To get the shot of the bear eating, the other cameraman (not Bob) would have had to get out of his car and move closer. Not real likely, given what he'd just supposedly seen.]

Which movie has a scene w/ a funhouse, where a man looks normal in the mirror, but distorted in real life?

It sounds like "Mask" to me, too, the exact scene. Rocky and his dark-haired friend are looking in different mirrors and laughing at the results. Then, they stop, amazed, but we don't know why they are surprised~yet. Rocky asks his friend to go get his (Rocky's) mother. When she arrives, we finally are shown what Rocky and his friend saw: how Rocky might look if he did not have that disorder. I don't recall any other film with a similar image.

An episode of "Ray Bradbury Theater" had a dwarf going into a mirror maze, where one mirror shows how he would look if he was full-size.

A mirror maze also is used in "Something Wicked This Way Comes", but none of the incidents matches your description. In one, a young man who is missing an arm and leg on one side (portrayed by Jim Stacy aka Stacey, an actor who lost the limbs in a motorcycle/auto accident) sees himself whole then, when he turns away from the mirror IS whole once more. An old woman exchanges her age for youth. I think there are a couple of others, but none of them match your question.

I don't recall if "The Funhouse" (1981) has such a scene. In it, a deformed man is made to wear a mask to hide his face. But, I'm not sure about a mirror scene. Nearly the whole film takes place in a funhouse on top of which is a model/image of a very large woman rocking and laughing shrilly.

IMDB summary:
Teenagers Amy Harper, Buzz Klemmet, Richie Atterbury and Liz Duncan travel to the carnival that has just come to town, for some fun. As the night begins to come to an end, Liz suggests they stay the night in the funhouse. They all agree and decide to take the last ride before the attraction shuts down. Later, the four witness the horrific murder of a fortuneteller by a large man wearing a Frankenstein mask. Richie steals some money, a theft discovered by the funhouse owner, who then sends his son, the murderous Gunther, after the teens. {edited by me}

"Dark Ride" (2006) has a funhouse, but I'm not sure about the mirror or deformity.

I'll keep looking around for other possibilities.

What movie impressed you the most?

I personally don't watch a lot of movies, but a few which have had an impact on me or moved me to tears are,.Interstellar - The movie is one of the best i have watched. It looks like a normal sci-fi movie, but when we put ourselves in Cooper's position, we realise the gravity of the situatuion. He is leaving his family, his daughter, son and father in law at home, and probably never returning. The decision is huge, and the consequences are greater. He won't be around to see his children growing, considering that they never show his wife and good terms with father in law, we assume she has died. First, Cooper lost his wife, then his job, then now he hass to leave his only loved ones to almost nothing. All astronauts make this choice for the sake of humanity. Next is the scene, where they leave Romily, or he volunteers to stay back, knowingly or not, he has to wait for 21 years with no human for company, loneliness should've driven him close to insanity and eccentricity. That is long time.Next is the final scene, where he meets his daughter again, i don't have to explain it. The scene is just marvellous and brilliantly shown, Cooper's own grand children don't recognise or acknowledge him. Technically he entered a room full of his own children, yet he knew no one.The movie shows the value or human mind and strength of human character. Schindler's ListThis has to be one of Liam Neeson's greatest performance. In the beginning he is a shrewd businessman, later reveals his soft and human side. Based on a true story, putting yourself in Oskar's situation, you are taking the biggest risk for people who don't owe you anything. Reading about Nazi ruled Germany is so scary, imagine living there and running the greatest anti-nation operation, that takes some balls. That man had it.Disney has always been known for their Easter Eggs and attention to detail, the movie which is the epitome of Disney Movie is Inside Out. For example, this scene, the characters in the brains head are all random, nothing systematic, they move around, do what they want, like a child, literally. But, the adult's mind is much more organised and orderly, showing that even emotions in an adult is much more controlled. This attention to detail is what makes the movie appear on this list. This is just one of the examples of attention to detail.I will be adding to this list, soon. Hopefully i come across more such movies. Cheers!

Why do some people get disturbed on watching even a minor violent scene (showing blood and all) in movies or in real life?

For me it isn't the blood that bothers me, it is the violence.I suppose in some ways it is due to being a victim of extremely unpredictable violence growing up that I just have no stomach for imitation violence. I survived the real thing, I don't find the concept entertaining.  The things on the screen are made to make you feel or think things that are suppose to simulate that fear/excitement  reaction in your brain. My brain doesn't need anymore stimulation in that area. When it come to horror or thriller movies, There are people out there that do like to torture people. The images expressed in film seem to pull me away from the story and make me think of real things that the movie might be based on. Even the extreme end, where it seems ridiculous, can feel overwhelming, The movie Kill Bill, is one where I have a very mixed reaction, a lot of the violence is very over the top, but some of it is very on mark. Enough the movie where Jennifer Lopez plays a domestic violence victim who gets revenge on her spouse, Left me feeling extreme anger, and in its own way emotionally exhausted. No country for old Men, was just not my cup of tea. I also have issues with movies that create life/reality paradoxes, like 12 monkeys, The Road.. the list goes on.I have had to explain it to my husband several times; I know my grip on reality isn't solid, and it seems things that make me over think the reality around me makes me really paranoid, anxious, scared. I then have to try and convince myself that everything is okay, and that the really weird stuff I am thinking, feeling, seeing isn't there. Which can be very difficult at say 3 am, when you need to go to sleep and be up for work in a few hours. TL/DR: Life experiences make things not entertaining if you have had to live through traumatic stuff.

As a veteran, which war movies have had the greatest effect on you?

I remember when I watched “Saving Private Ryan” for the first time. It was shortly after the war in Kosovo and a comrade gave me a pirate copy, with the words that this movie is “good shit!”.I watched this low quality VHS copy alone on a small TV and although it sometimes had no colors and no sound and there were some annoying Serbian subtitles at the bottom of the screen, I was deeply impressed. When the opening scene started where they go ashore in the landing craft and the first soldiers get shot, I had goosebumps. My heart was beating faster and I started sweating.Fortunately, after the first twenty minutes, the movie slowed down and the rest of it was just like any other war movie.I was thinking that they should have written a warning at the beginning of the film: “Not suited for war veterans with battle neurosis”.Another war movie that is a ‘must watch’ is “Black Hawk Down!”. The combat scenes are quite realistic, although they don’t reach the “Saving Private Ryan” level.“Full Metal Jacket” deserves to be mentioned because of how it portrays boot camp. This is exactly the shit that many recruits have to go through. The rest of the film, however, is rather disappointing.I also like “Apocalypse Now!”, although it’s really not the most realistic movie. However, it depicts very well the atmosphere in a war zone and the “I don’t give a shit anymore” attitude of many combat veterans. It also has the best quotes of all war movies: “I love the smell of napalm in the morning” or “The bullshit piled up so fast in Vietnam, you needed wings to stay above it”, to name just a few, are classics.
