What Nfl General Managers Are In The Most Danger Of Being Fired

Who is the worst general manager in the NFL?

Bruce Allen, without a doubt. The Redskins are 52–75 under him since 2010. He should have been fired long ago for poor decisions that he once tried to counter with the embarrassing assertion that the team was “winning off the field.”Allen’s miserable drafting approach is responsible for drafting only four players in eight years who were selected to more than two Pro Bowls. The reason he is still around, is because he fits like a glove to Snyder’s conception of living within a gregarious coterie with people that tell him what he wants to hear and the idea of negotiating for a brand new stadium. When Allen stands at the podium, it’s a contest of eloquence. He is always in his sunday’s best, dressed as smoothly as possible — but underneath the expensive attire lies an incompetent manager/president/CEO/head executive, whichever his titles are I can’t even follow anymore. Is he governor of Maryland yet? Anyway, between cheating the cap, horse-crap trades and contract extensions to players such as O.J. Atogwe, to whom he gave a five year $26 million dollar contract, $27MM to Stephen Bowen and $36MM to Barry Cofield (95% of NFL fans probably have no idea who these guys are now); his management is sabotaging the Redskins, because of:Incompetence in drafting.Incapability in negotiating contracts and signing starting level free-agents.Managing the cap and expectations.Creating a functional front office and avoiding controversies, plus internal conflict.

Who is the best General Manager in the NFL?

John Schneider. He, along with Pete Carroll, took a piece of trash 2010 Seahawks team that had been eviscerated by Tim Ruskell and coached by the perenially incompetent and acerbic Jim Mora Jr., and turned over the roster completely. He should have got Executive of the year for getting rid of Houshmandzadeh, and then going on to make hundreds of transaction that year.He traded for Marshawn LynchHe has drafted:Earl ThomasKam ChancellorRichard ShermanBobby WagnerK. J. WrightJustin ColemanRed BryantTyler LockettChris CarsonGolden TateWalter ThurmondByron MaxwellMalcom SmithBruce IrvinJeremy LaneJ.R. SweezyLuke WillsonPaul RichardsonJustin BrittFrank ClarkJarran ReedRussell Wilson. . . and signed UDFA Doug BaldwinAlso, he and Pete Carroll have taken that team from 2010, won one Superbowl, nearly won a second, won 5 straight divisional titles, and this year, taken a team that was widely thought to be a 4–5 win team and brought it to a 7–5 record (soon to be 8–5 [MNF!]).Plus, he is a great guy, constantly working to support Autism causes in the name of his son, Ben.Go Hawks!

If you were the owner or general manager of an NFL football team would you hire Josh McDaniels as your head coach? Why or why not?

Sure.If I was an owner or GM, I expect I would be on pretty good terms with the Patriots and Belichick. I wouldn’t have any concerns about someone from the Patriots wanting to pull a fast one on me, like McDaniels did to Indy.I think McDaniels is a pretty bright guy. He wasn’t ready when he went to Denver, and he certainly shouldn’t have had any control over personnel. But, lots of coaches have gone on to win Super Bowls in the same situation - being a head coach, getting fired and taking a step back, then returning as a head coach: Mike Shanahan, Bill Belichick, Gary Kubiak, and Pete Carroll all come to mind. With McDaniels, he’d need to do a little explaining for what happened with Indy, and as long as I felt he was being honest with me, then yeah, I’d hire him.

Which NFL general managers are the most likely to be fired this offseason?

The teams I would point to (Colts, Browns, Giants) have already fired their front office, so you have to take them out of contention. This is a difficult question to answer, as front office jobs tend to be more stable than coaching jobs. The coaches typically take the fall for a bad team, meaning the team has to be consistently bad over a couple head coaches in order for you to blame the front office. Since 3 GMs have already been fired this season, I doubt we will see a ton more. That being said, I’ll drop a few names:Cardinals - Either Bruce Arians or the GM is probably out this year.Lions - Bob Quinn has quietly taken this team basically nowhere, so it might be him or the coach (unlikely though).Ravens - This one is pretty unlikely, but this team has been rusting out for the past 5 years and the GM is to blame. They’re lucky their old players are defying age, and the GM is a more likely fall guy since you can’t fire Harbaugh.Bucs - Far more likely the coaching staff is blamed, but someone has to take the fall for this season. The front office provided all the talent they needed.

Why do more managers get fired than GMs?

managers are the ones the fans see most of the time. they blame them when the players are in slumps even though its not there fault. look at th new york mets and detroit tigers for instance, the players werent producing thats not the managers fault. the players need to get it together. the gms are praised for making good deals and then the players dont produce so everyone begins to say it's the managers fault. thats why willie randolph got fired.

What NFL coach is most likely going to be fired this 2018-2019 season?

There’s going to be more than one and there will be some names on the list that will blindside you.The hot seat (hottest at top)Vance Joseph - Almost out after year one, Denver has been consistently inconsistent under his tenure. Short of a trip to the playoffs, he is likely gone after the season.Dirk Koetter - The Bucs have cooled considerably after a hot start. He was promoted to tutor Jamis Winston, and he never developed into the star Tampa needed him to be. At this point his seat looks to be scorching.Steve Wilks - Only 1st year coach I have on list due to how Arizona has regressed under his leadership. I would not be shocked if Cards brass ended his employment after this season.Marvin Lewis - Longtime Bengals’ coach who was brought back for another shot. His team is off to a good start, but I think needs to make the playoffs and win at least one game once there to secure another season.Possible surprising names Most to least likelyMike McCarthy - His front office has failed putting enough of a supporting cast on the field, but it almost seems criminal that Aaron Rodgers has only one SB ring and it seems so long ago now.Dan Quinn - The Falcons have never seemed to recover following their 4th Quarter collapse in Super Bowl LI. Might be time for a change.Pete Carrol - Seattle could decide the architect of the Legion of Boom isn’t the right guy to rebuild into the next era.Mike Tomlin - The Rooneys are not prone to rash decisions, but the window is closing on Pittsburgh’s super bowl chances and the team seems to find new ways to shoot themselves in the foot.Jason Garrett - Jerry Jones actually questioned one of his decisions. I would actually be surprised to see him fired, more likely an overhaul of the offensive staff unless it was Weeks 1–5 that were the aberration and Week 6 was the real Cowboy offense.Names I left off on purpose: Hue Jackson & Todd Bowles. They seem to have the confidence of their front office and their players. Given their records this could change fast and they would vault toward the top of the top list.

Could I get fired?

I work at Burger king and I was working at drive thru. It was really busy and the manager kept fussing about little things which made me lose focus. Then this lady wanted a burger with only pickle but she got one with only ketchup so I told the crew to make a cheeseburger with only pickle. I was so stress I didn't realize I said that. Then when the lady got her cheeseburger, she told me to get the manager and that she's filing a complaint to corporate because every time she comes to Burger king she always gets the wrong order. And then the manager starting yelling at me saying how in her 14 years of being a manager she's never that someone complain to corporate. I have an anxiety problem so I just walked out and went home before anyone could see me have a mental breakdown. She gonna report to the general manager and I might get fired or written up
