What Nutritional Supplements Have You Taken What Works

Do you have a nutritional supplement that you absolutely love?

Yes, I have taken USANA Health Sciences products for 14 years and notice a significant difference in how I feel each day. They are science based and designed to support cellular health.USANA

Do nutritional supplements work to produce better health and if so, which ones seem to work best for you?

Conventional medicine has no techniques to measure health. There are no scientific journals of health. There is no science of “healthicine” today.Conventional medicine studies “health products” by looking through a “disease window”. All measures of effectiveness of health products, including all nutritional supplements, are based on disease, not on health. Even product labels are based entirely on disease, not on healthiness. Take a look at this product label for bottled water. The list of ingredients does NOT include water. As a result every ingredient is listed as zero, and zero percent of your Daily Value (daily needs). The label contains Calories - even though there are none - because calories might make you fat. It contains Fats - even though there are none - because fats might make you fat, give you hypertension, etc. It lists Sodium - even though there are none - because sodium is believe to increase or exacerbate hypertension. It lists Carbs - even though there are none - because carbs contain calories. It list Protein - even though there are none - because, if you don’t consume sufficient proteins you will suffer a deficiency. Duh.The label doesn’t list water. Water is not essential to health, because it is rarely linked to diseases. Water is not an “essential nutrient” and it does not cause or increase disease - so it’s not required on the “Nutrition” label.Which nutritional supplement works best for me? Water is near the top of my list. I consume many nutritional supplements. Some in the foods I buy at the grocery store. Some I purchase designed as nutritional supplements. Which seem to work the best? I have no idea. I take them on trust, not on evidence.to your health, tracyFounder: Healthicine

Do dietary supplements really work?

“Do dietary supplements really work?”What do you mean by “work”?A question without context is an invitation for people to make broad unsubstantiated statements for the sake of advancing an opinion, rather than providing an answer based on facts. If you have a deficiency, the first line of treatment is supplementation because it is the fastest way of reversing the deficiency. When a supplement reverses a deficiency, it works. If you don’t have a deficiency and self-prescribe supplements that you don’t need, they don’t work, and in some instances could cause harm.More:Nutritional Deficiencies (Malnutrition)

Is there a weight loss supplement that works?

Hi there and thank you for your great question! When I was 16, I was skinny and all my friends were more ‘buff’ and got all the hot chicks haha I then decided to change and started weight lifting. To get BIIIIG I bought my first tub of protein powder and I thought, my body is going to explode now! Well, what exploded was basically me. Because it didn’t taste nice, it was hard to drink as it wouldn’t disolve and, even worse, I didn’t get bigger!I know it has nothing to do with weight loss but rather with weight gain but the mechanism is the same as it comes down to….. drum roll… our daily diet! You see, when you feed your body with what it needs then you will lose weight. It’s all about ‘in’ vs. ‘out’. So if you are in a constant calorie deficit and eat balanced and healthily then you are going to lose weight! And here lies the catch as well: healthy and balanced! You need to know how many calories your body needs to maintain it’s weight. Then you eat about 250cal less. Most people go up to 500 calories and that’s ok as well. However, the more calories you cut, the harder it will be for you to stick to it! So do it slowly, get used to it, and then go for the next 250cal cut. BUT, never go below 1250cal otherwise you are going to starve your body and that will have negative effects on your metabolism etc.In regards to supplements - yes, they do make sense BUT they are supplements and if your diet is not right, then there is no need to worry about supps! Get your daily diet right first as this builds the foundation. And then you can add some supps if there is need for it.Hope that helps and if this is valuable to you, may I please ask you to upvote this article and feel free to follow me here for more :)Reach out to me if you have any question or if you need more clarification,Patrick

What supplements should I take as a beginner at the gym?

If you have the resources, then why not take a course and learn nutrition? Learn all you can about eating healthy. This knowledge can serve you well the rest of your life.Chances are, though, if you have a poor diet and are overweight you are low on potassium. The odds are your potassium levels are not at all good if you have a junk or fast food diet. This can lead to increased risk for colon cancer and heart disease.Try taking a potassium supplement and see if your energy levels increase. Potassium is the intracellular cation that powers cells. Potassium is found in very large amounts in fresh fruit, along with the fructose to power up cellular function. These are things you just don’t get with refined sugar or corn syrup. Think of potassium within cells while sodium is in extracellular fluid. There is energy potential between them. Cells are sluggish and shut down when there is low potassium supplies. All the refined sugar in the world can’t meet this need.If you find you have more energy simply by taking a potassium supplement, then consider taking some nutrition and health courses and learn more.Follow the manufacturer’s recommendations when using supplements.
