What is your opinions on addiction?
the first thing that comes to mind when i think of addiction is drugs, cigarettes, gambling and alcohol. i've known several people who were addicted to drugs and it destroyed their lives and that of their loved ones. i imagine it isn't too much different with alcoholism or gambling.....my own husband and some of my relatives are addicted to cigarettes. most of them say they don't seriously intend on quitting either! a few have even said they'll lay on their death beds with a cigarette in their mouths and die happy. i used to smoke as well, but when i had my children i couldn't fathom the thought of losing 10 minutes of my life everytime i lit up.......when i think of the word addiction, only negative thoughts come to mind. people putting their uncontrollable urges above what they know is right or best. i've been lucky enough not to be faced with my loved ones suffering through an addiction to drugs or alcohol but i have sympathy for those who do. it's painful to watch someone you love so much slowly kill themselves, and they are aware of it but can't stop. as i always say.......it destroys lives. Addiction is a chronic disorder proposed to be precipitated by a combination of genetic, biological/pharmacological and social factors. Addiction is characterized by the repeated use of substances or behaviors despite clear evidence of morbidity secondary to such use. There is a lack of consensus as to what may properly be termed 'addiction.' Some within the medical community maintain a rigid definition of addiction and contend that the term is only applicable to a process of escalating drug or alcohol use as a result of repeated exposure. However, addiction is often applied to compulsive behaviors other than drug use, such as overeating or gambling. These behavioral addictions, however, almost never exist without another addiction to some substance. In all cases, the term addiction describes a chronic pattern of behavior that continues and is perceived to be hard or impossible to quit at any time. It is quite common for an addict to express the desire to stop the behavior, but find himself or herself unable to cease. Addiction is often characterized by an ongoing effort to use more (drug or behavior), tolerance, and withdrawal symptoms in the absence of the stimulus. Many drugs and behaviors that provide either pleasure or relief from pain pose a risk of addiction or dependency.
What is your opinion of the Book of Mormon?
The Book of Mormon is a holy book in the mormon religion. It speaks truth, it tells no lies. And don't speak badly of it until you have tried reading it. It may seem a little spotty at first, but when you think about it, If you compare it to the bible, it all starts to make sense. What do you think of the Book of Mormon?
Do you have personal opinions on your students, like, do you look at a kid and say “wow, that kid has no life.” or something in that general area?
Last semester, I had two Geology classes. The first class was a Geology lab, and it was from 9AM to 10:30AM. The second class was a Geology lecture, and it was from 10:40 to 12 PM.Now, these two classes were independent from one another. Just because you attended lab, it didn’t obligate you to take lecture, and vise versa. To fulfill credit requirements, some of us did attend both, others didn’t.My story involves a girl that attended both, just like I did.She was very proactive in both classes. She did assignments, studied for exams, participated lots— even when she didn’t know the answer, and she’d chit chat with the teacher like they were pals.She was maybe 19.Anyway, this girl was so over the top. Don’t get me wrong. If you want to participate lots, go for it. I do the same thing.BUT, like this girl was TOO comfortable in this class. She would interrupt class a lot, often times speaking over the professor. She would raise her hand to answer a question, not know the answer, and she’d start looking through her notes AT THAT MOMENT to tell the class the answer. LIKE DONT RAISE YOUR HAND IF YOU DONT KNOWShe would raise talk really loud, but I think that was just her nature. Whether it be during class during a serious lecture or while we’re waiting for the professor, she felt the need to tell everyone her plans.“Does anyone know how an emergency Earthquake alert system would work?” Somehow, someway, she’d manage to answer that question AND throw in how, “One time, I drove to Mexico WITH MY FRIEND, and we saw a bird, like a big bird. Like omg hehe LOL.”Like, that’s too much. She always felt the need to mention how, “MY FRIEND and I,” like okay, no one thinks you don’t have friends..When she’d raise her hand or get an answer wrong, she TURNED SO RED. She had white skin, and when she turned red, she REALLY turned red.Now, one day, in Geology Lecture, my professor was talking about why he reduces the class times by 20 minutes. He told us that when he was in college, he couldn’t stand being in a classroom for 2 hours. He sympathized for us.He told us that when he was in college, he was, “the annoying student who would always talk in class.” He told us he always participated and how lame that was. Literally, I’m not making this up.The girl i’ve been talking about TURNED SO BRIGHT ASS red because she must have felt insulted. I mean, I would to. Your professor basically called you lame, and the whole class probably looked at you..
Can you please give me your honest opinion about Black people?
Im just curious obviously you can see im a black man.. but im curious as to know why I dont see more of these people on television and in high level positions. Note to Haters.. this is very important I want folks to see this. and so please everyone be honest and respect each others answers. thank you. I believe that color is just a color and people are people just like a horse is a horse, a bug is a bug , a Snake is a Snake, and fish are fish. And Dogs are Dogs. What im getting at is. If we owned any of these animals Like fish for instance we put them all in the same tank. we dont separate the Black fish from Gold Fish, and Great white sharks from Tiger Sharks.. there all one.. Why are we the only ones? we are so smart that were stupid.. I dont see color only indiviuals. and I have an opinion on indivisuals not color or races. So can you help me understand this act?
In your opinion, do you think God is real and he's coming back? Do you think he’ll make stars fall out of the sky? If so, how fast would those stars be falling if they fell from the Earth’s sky in 3 seconds?
Well, the closest star to Earth is the Sun and the shortest it would theoretically take for the Sun and the Earth to collide is 8 minutes 20 seconds. If they traveled towards each other at the maximum speed possible in our universe - the speed of light. Yet, even a small fraction of this speed is unattainable without the Earth breaking up into constituent rubble. But then again it would be Earth falling into the Sun than the other way around. At which point the Earth would be utterly destroyed and you would not need other stars to be “falling into the Earth”.Now, if you consider Biblical “stars” to be meteors - a cool meteor shower can be attained. One can theoretically do calculations so that 1000s of meteors arrive at Earth at the same time. You just apply force so that they travel at different speeds and meet simultaneously. But then again, what’s the point of all of this unnecessary theatrics and suffering involved with what is described in the Bible. Sadism? Someone with divine powers can sterilize the whole of Earth in a fraction of a second - just cause a major solar flare that would fry us all instantly.

In my opinion, two things are going to happen to prevent Infinite Tsukuyomi: 1) Nakama Power will defeat it or Naruto will use talk no jutsu. 2) Madara will use his "trump card". As he said in the chapter, Infinite Tsukuyomi will happen by his plan. Either way, Madara has something planned, and so does Orochimaru. As for the chapter itself, a lot of One Piece fans have been saying that Kishimoto has been copying Oda, due to the princess eating a fruit and gaining powers. However, the whole "tree of life" concept has been done before several times and it makes the story sound pretentious.
What are the best things that life on Earth has to offer? In your opinion, how many of those things in life did you find out about much later than you would have liked? Also, what is it about your life that keeps your mood in check?
Ahhh, see, this is an easy one. We have had the definitive answer since 1982.Conan! What is best in life?“To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of the women.”For me personally, it would have to be B movies (paired with pizza - the combo is a purely guilty pleasure), which I developed a fascination with courtesy of my mom, who was also a fan when I was growing up.As to the last bit - isolation keeps my mood in check. I don’t much like people. One of the many reasons I moved to the top of a windswept mountain.Hmmm…long staff (walking stick). Bearded. Hermit on a mountain. Jesus, I’m a living caricature. :)EDIT: If you’re looking for the Next Great B Movie to fall in love with, as a connoisseur, allow me to recommend “Zombeavers.”Yep. It’s as cheesy as it sounds and is indeed about zombie beavers.It’s your typical college kids on a weekend horror movie set up. They go up, get settled into the cabin by the lake (well…pond…budget constraints, you see), start drinking and having sex, and then - the zombie beavers attack! (courtesy of a barrel of toxic chemicals that fell off the back of a truck, of course).Best scene in the movie, and quite possibly the best bit of B-movie dialogue ever followed:The next morning, after the initial attack, the girls decide to go looking for the zombified critters. Topless, of course, because I mean, that’s just what you do, right?So they’re out there, looking around a pond and a hunter enters the scene on the far side.Hunter: “Hey - What are ya’ll girls doing?”Leader of the women: “We’re out looking for beaver.”….…..Hunter (after the long pause to consider): “Yeah. Aren’t we all.”And that pretty well sums up Zombeavers.Fun fact tho - the director put an Easter egg in after the credits at the end of the movie, hinting at his next project - ZomBEES!. Kid you not.EDIT 2 - Honorable mention goes to Day of the Dead - BloodlinePretty typical low budget zombie flick. One scene though, was just…indescribably good/bad.So, some scientists are examining a zombie brain, trying to figure out what areas of the brain the zombie virus attacks and how, exactly, they get reanimated.After some poking around, one of the scientists gets super excited and announces that they’ve made a breakthrough!The virus is attacking the CRANIAL region of the brain.*facepalm.*A beautiful moment in B-movie cinematic history. Just…wow.
