What Origin Is The Last Name Storen

What are the origins of the last name Christ?

My last name is Christ. I get all sorts of Jesus jokes because of this and they got old a long time ago so i want to know where it comes from. Whenever I try though it just comes up with a bunch of religious mumbo jumbo that is not at all what I'm looking for. My family came from germany if you go far enough back and there is a jewellry store based out of Munich or somewhere called Christ jewellers. That's all I know and anything you can add would make my past that much clearer

Family history and name origins.?

Hey 29 Characters,

The Family Search has a about 104 Fedewa entries. Some are from Germany 1795ish, and there are Pedigree files, that can be ordered on CD from the LDS. then Vedua has entries also in LDS and that turns up some "de Vedua" entries also. Again, more pedigree files and one about 1700. Germany again too.

A name like this can come from many places, at it indicates, Phillipines, Italy and Mexico - and a long time ago too. So, one thing that other surname groups do is DNA testing to show which of todays ancestors are distantly related, and if there are more than one source for the family name. This happens all the time, so, you just have to admit the name is not unique to a country.

There is no project currently for these names, but you can start one. This may not be a good alternative for you. You might just want to trace the surname back from you, your father, grandfather, ggfather, etc until you see where it came from.

From link below:

July 11 (7/11) is the official birthday of the 7-Eleven® convenience store chain.

In 1927, convenience retailing began simply enough when an employee of Southland Ice Company in Dallas started selling milk, eggs and bread from the ice dock. Soon, the convenience store was born and became known as 7-Eleven to reflect the 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. hours of operation.

Where's my last name from?

Keller
German: from Middle High German kellaere ‘cellarman’, ‘cellar master’ (Latin cellarius, denoting the keeper of the cella ‘store chamber’, ‘pantry’). Hence an occupational name for the overseer of the stores, accounts, or household in general in, for example, a monastery or castle. Kellers were important as trusted stewards in a great household, and in some cases were promoted to ministerial rank. The surname is widespread throughout central Europe.
English: either an occupational name for a maker of caps or cauls, from Middle English kellere, or an occupational name for an executioner, from Old English cwellere.
Irish: reduced form of Kelleher.
Scottish: variant of Keillor

Toland
Last name origin & meaning:

Northern Irish: reduced form of O'Toland, an Anglicized form of Gaelic Ó Tuathaláin ‘descendant of Tuathalan’, a personal name formed from a pet form of Tuathal (see O’Toole).

(This was the closest I could come to THOLANDER. However, ancestry.com does say its places of origin are in Germany, Sweden, and Ireland.).
