Mobile Companies Owned by Bell and Rogers?

Hey guys,

I am just wondering if anyone could tell me, or send me a link to describe, which companies are owned by Bell and which ones are owned by Rogers or Telus?

For example, I think AT&T, Verizon and Virgin Mobile were all bought out by Bell. And I only know Fido was bought by Rogers.

I ask because I am looking into buying a new phone and would like to stay away from Bell Mobilities companies.

Thank you!!

Do phone companies (Rogers, Bell, VErizon etc.) keep records of all videos/pictures/text messages...?

The answer to your question is yes and no. It kind of depends on why you're asking. If someone sends you a picture, you delete it, the sender already deleted it and and you want to know if the phone company can "recover" it for you... the answer is no, they cannot. If someone sent you a picture or you sent someone a picture and you're worried if it might show-up "in public" some day the answer is yes. The picture was sent through the internet and was stored temporarily on each server it passed through... where it could be found, copied, distributed and traced (sender and receiver).

How can i tell if my wm. a. rogers silverware is sterling silver?

Most flatware marked "Wm. A. Rogers" or a variation ("1865 Wm. Rogers") is silver plate. William Rogers was a pioneer in the silver-plate flatware industry. He worked with his brothers and with his son. The name "Rogers" was used by other companies to produce silver flatware. If you know the name of your pattern, you can research it on line.

What I'd do is call Replacements, Ltd., in Greensboro, NC, and ask them for information on your flatware. They have a huge inventory of tableware and an even huger database of information.

CAN I SUE BELL CANADA?

hi i was i have a $380 issue with bell. I was with rogers home phone, internet, and cable when i received a phone call from bell saying they can offer me a better deal. 6 months free internet, phone, and satilite. They said i would pay a one time fee of like $78. Every month since the time i have had the services i have been charged like ridiculous charges because of there mistakes. $80 dollar on my phone bill because one of their agents changed my plan. The agent told me only way they could restore my services is if i pay for theyre mistake and that they would credit me for it the next month. That is totally not fair at all. Also my internet wasnt even free they said instead of six months free, its 12 months 50% off so i now have a $56 internet bill for the first month, $104 internet bill for the second month, and a $114 bill for my third month being with the provider. CAN I SUE THE RETARDS FOR MISLEADING CUSTOMERS

Other than main internet providers such as Bell and Rogers, which are the best companies that offer affordable internet services?

Personally, I have only been with 2 companies, that have been satisfied with their internet speed, quality and customer service. First was Comwave and than Acanac. They both have great internet plans, much cheaper than Bell or Rogers. Acanac has more sales and discounts, so I switched to Acanac during black Friday and got a great and affordable plan. Most of the time they have discounts, This is Acanac website if you like to check them out.

Why are the big mobile telecommunication companies in Canada (Bell, Telus, and Rogers), getting away with charging more than any other country in the world for mobile?

Most answers failed to account for the main reason: because providing telecommunications services in Canada cannot be done cheaply. There are many reasons for the higher prices, the main ones are listed below:Canada is a huge country. To cover 95% of the population one needs to build a wireless network that spans more than 1.5 million square kilometres. This requires a lot of money. Further, maintaining such a big network requires a lot of money, too. By comparison all countries that make the EU (including the UK, I.e. pre Brexit) add up to 4.5 million square kilometres - and here I include 100% coverage for the EU.More so, the Canadian population is distributed mostly along the US border (excluding Alaska). This part of the border stretches for some 6,400 kilometres… Not nearly as easy to reach as the population in any European country. Look at a carrier coverage map to see the challenge faced by the likes of Bell or TELUS.Canada’s population is only 36 million people. By comparison the EU has more than 500 million people. The above points should tell you that on average, Canadian telcos should have fixed costs that are about 3.5 times higher than those of an European telco.Other reasons:Canadian wireless providers invested billions of dollars in service, which is much better than what European companies provide. Finally… the Canadian dollar has been a fraction (let's say around 80%) of the USD… With hardware subsidies at roughly 3 billion CAD each year… and all network equipment also being bought in USD… something has to give.Canadian telcos have invested billions in the latest technology (4G). Sure Korea and Singapore are ahead… but we're not doing too bad either. If the government would allow foreign investment… maybe 30% of all jobs will disappear (synergies, I guess), mine included - I work in product development. Would that lead to better pricing for the consumer? Given the reasons I listed above… I doubt it.

Does monopoly in Canada's internet market (Telus, Shaw, Rogers, Bell) limit Canada's growth in the technology sector?

Four companies would not be considered a monopoly.Look to laws, regulations and costs for reasons why there is no growth if you consider that the case.

Which is the best internet connection in Canada?

For speed alone, Rogers is considered the fastest in Canada, followed by Shaw. (These are based on average results from The Global Broadband Speed Test)Quality of service and support, TELUS is considered the best, followed by Bell.In terms of bundling and other related services (tv, mobile, home phone, internet) TELUS comes out on top because they have the latest and greatest PVRs and Set top Boxes powered by Microsoft Media room. Their services feature Netflix and Crave TV built in, while other providers require additional hardware/devices to access these services. They are also consistently rated the best in terms of Mobile and phone service.
