What Pandora Radio channels have traditional country music?

I'm looking for more songs like Garth Brooks: Friends In Low Places, Randy Travis: On The Other Hand & Forever & Ever Amen, Tim McGraw: It's Your Love & Don't Take The Girl, Alan Jackson: Gone Crazy, George Strait: The Chair & You Look So Good In Love, Keith Whitley: When You Say Nothing At All

Will a country music radio station succeed now in NYC?

I think so. The biggest reason has to do with the hybridized nature of country music in its present state. Although the country tropes of loss and desire, or even more specifically the omnipresence of traditional American Christian values are still in country music today, the "packaging" of such makes it more palatable to an urban, multicultural listenership. Despite the packaging material of pop/rock stylistic traits, the messaging is still deep down.

What is the best Pandora station for Christmas music?

We've been listening to "Classical Christmas" for the past 72 hours :)

Why does country music suck so bad nowadays, will it ever come back to being good?

It sucks for those who are fans of true country music and is no longer Country but Pop and Rap being labeled as Country as that is what sells and it is all about money.
Will it ever come back..Possibly but very unlikely as those who stick to Country without the other Crap do not get get played. Some very talented artists should be at the top, Jamey Johnson for one but he is ignored.
It is no longer about 3 Chords and the Truth as Harlan Howard once said. What is really sad is the artists who now have jumped on the rap hiphop band wagon like they were 20 years old AGAIN like Tim McGraw and Billy Ray Cyrus.

What are the best Internet radio stations for honky tonk country, hillbilly, alternative country and Americana?

We are lucky in the Monterey Bay area of California, to be the home of KPIG (http://www.kpig.com), one of the best sources of Americana and related music available on broadcast or online. Try it, you'll like it!

How can I expand my music taste?

Music is a universal language, and it’s great you want to expand your music taste! Music preference is pretty easy to expand. Also, there are plenty of ways you can expand your music taste and you don’t really have to spend any money on it if you don’t want to.Try out pandora, if you haven’t already. If you’re really looking to expand your music taste a LOT, I would recommend searching up a genre you don’t think you’d enjoy (for me, country is the station I use). Then you listen to the music pandora brings up and try to figure out what you enjoy about each song. If you ever come to a song that you can’t stand at all, don’t torture yourself, dislike it or move to a station you’d rather listen to. If you’re just looking to find music similar to your taste just to expand it a little, then bring up a band or genre you enjoy. The radio is, while old fashioned, still a great way to expand your music taste! Find any music playing station and just listen. Radio stations try to find the most agreeable songs to the majority of local population. This way, you’ll likely find most of the music to be tolerable, and if not, you eventually get used to the music anyway.Find playlists online. Choose a song you generally want to listen to and just look up that song with the word “playlist” after in any search engine. The playlists usually introduce a lot of music that you might enjoy.Mostly, just keep listening to as much music as you can get your hands on! When discovering new music, try to listen to each song once, and if you don’t like it, try again another day. You find after a few times of hearing a song, you warm up to it a bit. Good luck!
