What Part Of A City Would Represent The Vacuoles

What can i use thats in a city that represents a cell ?

Vaccule- grocery store, holding the nutrients for the cell
DNA- this could be the mayor sitting in the town hall (i'd shape the people sitting in an 'x' -ish shape so together they look like a chromosome

Cytoplasm could be grass or just the grounds

Membranes of any type could be represented by a fence or the city limit. kinda like a great wall of china thing if you did an asian theme.

When I was in school we did this with candy... much more tasty than the city idea

What buildings can i use to represent a cell in a city?

mitochondria= power plant
nucleus= city hall
plastid= mall:
...chloro= restaurant
...chromo= paint shop
...leuco= department store
endoplasmic reticulum= highways
cell wall= city boarder
cell membrane= city patrol fence
golgi apparatus= delivery centre
vacuole= police department
ribosome= hospital nursery(for the production of proteins(people))
cytoskeleton= ????:
...microfilament= ????
...intermediate filament= ????
...microtubule= ????
so i need advice if this is ok coz im not quite confident about this and i need help to represent a cytoskeleton.

In a factory, what would the lysosomes represent?

Lysosomes, having hydrolytic enzymes, could be represented in a cell factory as cafeteria staff and maintenance crew, breaking down food and unwanted material, and recycling waste.

What parts of a city relates to each cell organelle?

The nucleus is the control centre of the cell and contains all the genetic information. So try to go for whichever building you think is in charge of the running of a city. Something like the town hall or the police station might work.
The cell wall could relate to the outer limits of a city, or even a city wall.
Ribosomes are sites where proteins are made - they could be likened to small factories.
The lysosome is in charge of breaking down any cellular waste products. A landfill site or dump could work here. You could also put recycling plant as many of the waste components from the lysosome are reused in the cell.
A vacuole is where the cell stores sap. A warehouse in particular a food storage warehouse would be a good comparison.
The chloroplast is the site of glucose synthesis from sunlight. This is where plants make their own food. A food production factory or a farm could be a good comparison.
The cell membrane controls what substances are able to enter and leave the cell. Not sure how you could relate this one to a city - it would be as though there was a shield surrounding the city allowing only some traffic to enter and leave. You may need to use some imagination here - a toll road or bus lane? Or just write something about border control and restricted city access. Immigration control at the city airport could work.
The endoplasmic reticulum is where proteins are manufactured and transported. It basically compares to a factory.
Mitochondria are the powerhouses of the cell. Think along the lines of power station.
Finally the golgi body is where proteins are modified and distributed. Some kind of distribution centre where goods are sent to shops would work

Hope this helps!

Can a windmill be represented as a chloroplast?/ cell city help!?

Endoplasmic Reticulum-Road System
Nucleus-City Hall
Vacuoles-Water Tank
Ribosome- Construction Company
Cell Wall-City Wall
Lysosome-Recycling Center
Cell Membrane -City Border
Cytoplasm-Lawns
Chloroplast
Mitochondria
Nuclear Membrane
Chromosomes

now i need chloroplast, mitochondria, nuclear membrane, and chromosomes.

what can represent a windmill? a chloroplast? or a mitochondria?

if any of these are wrong please help

How can you compare a city structure to a cell?

the mitochondria are the power stations producing energy so the rest of the city can function,
the chromosomes are the blueprints that are used to repair and build the city,
the nucleus is the city hall where all the blueprints are stored and activities of the city are controlled,
the cytoskeleton is the foundations of the city and the basic infastructure,
the cytoplasm is the media in which the city exists (air),
the endoplasmic reticulum is the factory producing brick that build up the city (proteins),
the ribosomes are the workers in said factory,
the golgi apparatus is the sorting office which organises the bricks and other building structures,
the lysosomes are tyhe recycling centre workers who breakdown rubbish so that parts can be reused
the membrane is the city wall, that control entry and exit of substances into the city

What part of a house would be the nucleolus and/or the golgi apparatus?

I would say the golgi is like the study, it is where proteins mature. Kind of like how humans mature by learning. Its a stretch, I know. but it works.

What did you use as the nucleus. I would say the master bedroom since its the master of the cell. In that case I would say the nucleulus is like the bed in the master bedroom. Ribosomes are made in the nucleolus kinda like babies being made in a bed.

Cell City Project?????

cell membrane-city border, cell wall-city wall, cytoplasm-lawns, endoplasmic reticulum-highway or road system, ribosomes-lumber or thick brick yard, Golgi bodies-post office or UPS, chloroplasts-solar energy plants, nucleus-city hall, nuclear membrane-city hall fence with security guard, mitochondria-energy plants, DNA-original blueprints, RNA-copies of blueprints, nucleolus-copy machine, lysosomes-waste disposal or recyclers, vacuole-warehouse or water towers or garbage dump, protoplasm-air or atmosphere, chromosomes-rolled up blueprints, and proteins-lumber or bricks.

I hope this helps you!! =)
