What Payment Methods Does Tim Hortons Offer Employees

As a Tim Hortons employee, what is that one secret that the company does not want its customers to know?

I’m not a an Employee. I’m a Franchisee. I don’t work for the Corporate Office. It’s a huge difference. I can’t think of any secrets. As Franchisees, we don’t brag much about our extensive community support. Does that qualify?

What type of shoes do Tim Horton's employees wear?

I just got hired at Tim Horton's and it's my very first job! I'm just wondering what type of shoes should I buy? I know they have to be like black, non-slip shoes but if someone could post a link of a picture that shoes what they should look like that would be great! :)

Does Tim Horton's drug test employees?

I got called for an interview there tonight, and i would like to know if they are going to drug test me and what else i should expect.
Ive never had a job before and i just turned 16, im not really comfortable with peeing in a cup either lol.

Do Tim Horton's employees have to wait 6 months to work for a different owner?

An agreement between store owners doesn't bind the employees.

Have a look at the paperwork the staff get when they sign up.

The law in most western countries takes a dim view of "restraint of trade" in this way. So long as the second location isn't super close (like next door, same block etc), the courts tend to say how is this affecting the business of the first employer?

Still. Look at the paperwork, and call up a free legal advice hotline or job advice line.

Why are you concerned? You can lay off the crack for a week or two to get the job.

What type of creamer does tim hortons use?

I have bought their coffee and still cannot duplicate my large double double. I really need some answers as I moved and now have to drive 15mins just to get some. When you are paying more than $4 a gallon for gas it just isn't practical. If there are any tim hortons employees out there or former employees it would be great if you could help me out. Otherwise I might have to start working one night a week at timmys so i can find out. I am a homemaker and would prefer to stay that way with my kids but my addiction to timmys is gonna make it impossible. lol.

Does Tim Hortons Drug Test?

Judging by the service I've received at Tim Hortons in Ohio, no. But they should.

Should companies that pay higher wages to a majority of employees have higher tax breaks?

The answer, logically, is yes, though that is true only because all US businesses deserve relief from taxes. (As Rob Weir points out in his answer, it'll just end up with decreasing employment.) Most small businesses pay individual income tax--federal, often state and sometimes local. Corporations pay the corporate tax rate, the highest in the developed world--35% federal, up to 12% state and up to 3% local. Those are the nominal rates on eligible income. But in the true sense, no business pays taxes. Taxes are treated as a cost of doing business passed along to customers and shareholders in the form of higher prices and lower dividends (which are then taxed again). It is simply a way of getting ordinary taxpayers to pay more taxes while convincing the ordinary taxpayer that businesses are footing their share of the bill. The overall effect is to make US businesses much less competitive in world markets, which lowers both revenues and employment, both of which in turn reduce tax revenues. And so, we'd be quite wise to give all businesses a tax break and in so doing give breaks to ourselves through lower product costs and improved employment opportunities, not to mention that with lowered rates more business will be generated and may well yield even greater tax revenues than our present burdensome rates do.Bye, bye Burger King: Warren Buffett to Invest in Burger King's Planned Deal for Tim Hortons (leaving their 40% corporate rate here for 26% in Canada)

Does Tim Hortons pay extra for working holidays?

I work at a Tim Horton's in Canada (judging by your question, your American), so the laws may be different. But here in Canada, at Tim Horton's you do get paid extra for working on holidays such as Canada Day, only if you have been working for longer then 3 months. Because durring your first 3 months, your on probation period.
