What Place In Newlondon Gives The Most For A Unwanted Car

Legally, if someone parks in front of my driveway, blocking me in, do I have to give them notice before I have the vehicle towed? What if I don't know who or where the owner is?

Where I live, you just call parking enforcement (police department) and report a vehicle that is blocking your driveway. They are usually pretty quick at slapping a ticket on an offending vehicle, but it may take a half an hour or so on a busy day. If the vehicle is blocking my driveway completely I would ask the officer to have it towed, but I can’t do that before the officer arrives. It all takes more time and energy than some passive protection methods I use. First, the pavement in front of my driveway is clearly marked, so those that park can see exactly where their legal parking ends. One of my neighbors had the entire length of the curb in front of his driveway painted yellow. They never block him and they rarely block me. Depending on the jurisdiction, painting public roads and city curbs like that may be illegal.I collect discarded/lost parking tickets I find often on the streets (amazing how many people think they won’t have to pay it if they toss it :) ) and then use those to “warn” drivers that step over the line but not block me too much. By the time they realize the ticket is not theirs the desired effect is already achieved :). Sometimes they are kind enough to leave them so I can use them for the next violator :).Those non-aggressive methods, especially the pavement marking, dramatically reduced driveway blocking incidents. I think it’s safe to say that most people won’t do it if they are made aware when they are doing it. I am also much more confident that those that still block my driveway are doing that on purpose and with full awareness of the consequences. Therefore, I call parking enforcement whenever I see one parked like that and as soon as they get out of the vehicle. I call to cancel the ticket if they leave before the officer arrives, as a courtesy to officers and other people that may need their service more urgently. Also, parking enforcement won’t tag/tow cars parked in front of my driveway unless I call them. That allows me to let my friends and family take that spot if necessary. I avoid that though, lest it gives other people the idea that they can do the same with impunity.Just for context, I live in an area that is visited 24/7 by a large number of people that don’t live in the neighborhood. Most are from the suburbs where street parking rules are much more lax.

Where can I donate an unwanted snake?

Craigslist you can sell on but your not suppose to it's illegal well against there law to sale live animals on Craigslist. As for animals control plans don't.Because with animal control if some one does not adopt it in about a month they will put it to sleep. As for pet co buying the snake (dream on). They will only buy from experienced breeders with license and reputation and sometimes they don't because they have there own ware house with there own supply.Just buy a tank or if you want to do what so many people do just buy a sterlite tub,They hold humidity and heat well and a lot of expert snake breeders/owners recommend them and if you don't like it at least house him in there until you get the money for a big enough tank.

This question is for Gilmore Girls lovers!!?

All of my friends have told me that I missed a lot of GilmoreGilrls. I am a huge fan of it. I watch it everyday at 10:00 in the morning. But, I left off where Sookie just got married, Jess came back from Washington to see Rory and they kissed at Sookie's wedding, and Lorelai has this dream of being married to Luke and being pregnant. If you need additional details e-mail me at hersheyscat@yahoo.com. But, please tell me what I missed and what channel I can start seeing the new episodes on!!!

How did you feel when you first scratched your new car and how did you deal with the depression?

I still remember the joy of getting my first car and the eventful day that followed after it was scratched with a week. Some kids decided to use my brand new black SUV as their writing board, and practiced alphabets on the sides and wrote a big “CAR” on the bonnet with stones. They also put a couple of Spiderman stickers on each of the head-lights to add to their exterior design. I was on my way to work when I saw it, enraged I scolded my apartment security, made the supervisor apologize. Then on my way to the repair shop I lost my cool due to a bunch of idiots, got into road-rage followed by an accident. At the end of the day I found myself in a police station with a Rs.15000 ($300) expenditure. You can read more about it here: What is the strangest reason a person has ever crashed a vehicle?I had knowingly crashed my vehicle as I was very outraged by the scratches, in a moment of rage I decided to let my vehicle have as many scratches and dents it can, and vented my anger by crashing it into another vehicle. Following it, I got various advice on moral and public behavior by family and friends, advice on how not to value materialistic stuff so much that it could get me into trouble, but I was in early 20’s and it all sounded like crap! The crash acted as a medicine, I wasn’t as depressed anymore but felt sorry for what I did. I got everything repaired and got it into as good as new condition, and got over it.By time and experience everyone develops wisdom, 10 years later today I understand cars will always get scratched at some point of time, so learn to live with it, if it hurts, get it fixed. Especially when the wife drives the new Mercedes into a side walk putting some scuffs on the rims on the way back from showroom, and you have to laugh it off.. that’s wisdom!

Does putting sponge in the speaker box surrounding the walls in the box make the bass sounds better?

Not sponges - poly-fil.

Pollyfil is a sound absorption, dampening fiber that will deepen bass, provide cleaner midrange, tone down any unwanted reverberation and improve the dynamic extension of any speaker system.

It also helps eliminate standing waves, which is something like an echo inside the box. This will give you tighter and more accurate bass. It also helps to give a flatter frequency response to the overall sound, which is good. Besides this, it also helps reduce the vibration of the box, which results in less distortion. There is a big difference to the bass when you have an insulated box.

Damping also increases subwoofer efficiency by dissipating some energy that affects the sub, particularly the voice coil. It is advisable to put damping material inside a box. Pillow polyfill and fiberglass insulation are common, though polyfill is a lot easier on your skin. Polyfill also "tricks" a sub into thinking it is in a bigger box. Most sealed and vented enclosures require 1/2 lb. of dampening material per cubic foot of internal enclosure space. For best results it is recommended to loosely fill the material throughout the enclosure.

It can be found at Wal-Mart in the craft section. It's the same stuff used for pillows or quilts. Sometimes called batting.
