How does death play in the part of creating culture?

I’m not sure I understand your question… but I can imagine to ways of addressing it.When people die, their part in creating and maintaining culture is gone. If a lot of people die in a certain population, those deaths might affect culture because those people are no longer there. At war, for instance, the culture of a town (or country) might be affected by the fact that two-thirds of the adult male population dies in battle. That affects the culture, which will be affected by how the women and children react as survivors of that war, and they will be the main influencers in the culture going forward, since two-thirds of the men are gone. Similar situations occur in an epidemic, or a natural disaster such as an earthquake or a flood. In these ways, death plays a role in creating and maintaining culture.A different way of addressing your question refers to how different cultures cope with death: how funeral rituals differ from one culture to another, and how are people expected to behave. In some cultures deaths is celebrated as a rite of passage towards Nirvana, Heaven, or a new dimension. There are cultures in which funerals involve playing happy and upbeat music; in others, very somber music is played. Still in other cultures, there is no music at funerals, only prayers and silence. The list of different behaviours and rituals is almost endless.

Why Isn't Rafael Trujillo Considered One of the "Righteous Among Nations"?

This is a poor attempt at historical falsification. Trujillo should not be honoured as "righteous" or a "hero" because he was a dictator responsible for the torture and deaths of tens of thousands of people in the Dominican Republic. When the U.S. occupied the Dominican Republic in 1916 and created the National Guard it put Rafael Leonidas "The Chief" Trujillo into power. The fact that Trujillo was court-martialed for kidnapping and rape in 1920 did not impede his rise to power or taint his relationship with the U.S. As dictator of the Dominican Republic for 30 years, Trujillo had a penchant for self-adulation, naming the country's capital "Ciudad Trujillo" and likening himself to Jesus Christ. He also put his personal stamp on everything. On village water pumps: "Trujillo alone gives us water to drink." On a home for the aged: "Trujillo is the only one who gives us shelter."

Trujillo won the 1930 presidential election with more votes than there were registered voters, but as long as he was anti-communist, Washington was happy, so he invoked anti-communism to justify mass deportations, torture and summary execution. Workers who asked for wage increases were labelled "communists" and shot on the spot, as were farmers who tried to stop Trujillo from confiscating their land. He eventually controlled over 80% of the country's sugar plantations, using slave labor provided by neighbouring Haiti to keep profits high, but in 1937 he decided to blame depressed sugar prices on the Haitian workers and massacred 20,000 of them. Trujillo was finally assassinated by the CIA in 1961, after he attempted to have President Romulo Betancourt of Venezuela murdered because of his criticism of Trujillo's brutal regime. It was only then that the Marine Corps made public the fact that our "ally" Trujillo was a convicted rapist!

Brutal dictators are neither righteous nor heros - they are the scourge of mankind.

What was China's role during the Holocaust?

In that time period China was being invaded and occupied by the Japanese. The Chinese government was not a particpant in the Holocaust.Several thousand Jews had fled from Europe to China in the 30s and 40s to escape German oppression. For the most part, they survived the war, even though their locations were often overrun by the Japanese invasion.History of the Jews in China - Wikipedia

Did the West do as much as could be reasonably expected during World War II to prevent the extermination of European Jews?

No. Some countries shipped the Jews over before they were even invaded. The “Barbaric” middle east actually did more to save their Jews as they generally considered them an integral part of their society.““No occupied country in Africa or Europe was free of collaboration with the genocide campaign against the Jews, but this was more common in European countries than Arab ones. The offer made to Algerians by colonial French officials to take over confiscated Jewish property found many French settlers ready to profit from the scheme, but no Arab participated and, in the capital, Algiers itself, Muslim clerics openly declared their opposition to the idea.[2]While some Arabs collaborated with the Axis powers by working as guards in labor camps[citation needed], others risked their own lives to attempt to save Jews from persecution and genocide.Arab rescue efforts were not limited to the Middle East – Si Kaddour Benghabrit, the rector of the Great Mosque of Paris, according to different sources, helped from 100[1][3]to 500 Jews disguise themselves as Muslims. There are examples of non-Arab Muslim populations assisting Jews to escape from the Holocaust in Europe, in Albania for example. In September 2013, Yad Vashemdeclared an Egyptian doctor, Mohammed Helmy, one of the Righteous Among the Nations for saving the life of Anna Gutman (née Boros), putting himself at personal risk for three years, and for helping her mother Julie, her grandmother Cecilie Rudnik, and her stepfather Georg Wehr, to survive the holocaust. Helmy is the first Arab to have been so honored. “Source: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/...

For Jews only please, can a non-Jew be obedient to the LORD without converting to Judaism?

I am told there is no need for a non Jew to convert to Judaism, since a non-Jew may become “Children of Noah” and thus obedient to the LORD, following these seven rules:

1. Do not worship idols. (Genesis 3:5)
2. Do not commit blasphemy. (Genesis 3:1)
3. Do not steal. (Genesis 3:6)
4. Do not murder. (Genesis 4:8)
5. Do not commit sexual immorality. (Genesis 6:1-4)
6. Establish courts of justice. (Genesis 6:5-7)
7. Do not eat the flesh of a living animal. (Genesis 9:3-4)

There is no mention of the Sabbath here.

However this does not follow elsewhere in the TANAKH, for in Isaiah 56:1-8, The LORD says that the foreigner must observe the Sabbath and “hold fast to my Covenant”, which seems to mean the whole covenant, which is much more than the 7 items above.

So the question is, can a non-Jew be saved without converting to Judaism and obeying the entire covenant? This question is for Jews only, leaving aside the whole question of Jesus as the Messiah, please.
