What S Your Weapon Of Choice

What's your choice of weapon in a food fight?

Very true vague question. It frightens on the fight. How many people? Where? What is legal? My preferred weapons are my mind and words, so aim for peaceful resolution. If that is not possible I would need to know more about who I am fighting, the environment, etc.

What would be your weapon of choice if you were a serial killer?

Hopefully a good lawyer..

What is your weapon of choice?

Favorite side arm has to be my 1911. HistoryGuns are more than just weapons- they're a piece of history. From the Phillipines to WWI, Afghanistan to Iraq, the M1911 has served its owners well. Do I have a soft spot for the Martini Henry, the MIA, or the Lee-Enfield? Absolutely. However, they don't come with me day-to-day like my 1911 does. I'm fond of their rich history, but they live at home. The 1911 has a rich history. That's part of why it's so special.Design and Accuracy I'd like to fancy myself a skilled shooter, but I recognize that I'm not the best when it comes to pistols. It's much more difficult to be accurate with a pistol vs. a rifle. The length of a pistol means it's far less forgiving if you're off a bit (much shorter barrel). Further, many pistols are a bit too small for me to hold them well and be effective with them. Others require you to effect an unnatural angle in order to put your sights on target. Then, there's the trigger pull. Some pistols make you pull that sucker back like you're pulling teeth. The 1911? Perfect for a guy like me. Length: Well, it's still a pistol, so the fact that it's a bit longer than other handguns doesn't make a huge difference. Size:Fits my hand like a glove. I feel complete control and a solid, natural grip. I can grab the gun and it's immediately in the right spot, my grip sure. Sight picture/Aiming:When I raise the firearm to aim on target, the sights naturally fall on target, the gun pointing naturally in my hands. With, say, a Glock, I'm forced to think about the angle and sight picture. With the 1911, the firearm seems like an extension of my hand. Trigger pull:Very light squeeze = discharge. That works great for me, since longer/heavier trigger pulls give me too much time to jerk or otherwise sabotage my aim.  Stopping power45 ACP has some serious stopping power. What we learned in the Phillipines holds true still- 9mm might not put the guy down immediately, 45 will knock him on his ass. I don't want to get into a war over calibers. I'm a big fan of 9mm and 40 cal pistols, but they just don't represent the kind of stopping power I'm looking for. Would it be nice to have an extra 8 rounds? Sure, that's why I carry a second magazine (if I need over 15 rounds, I have bigger problems than simply needing another spare mag). It's sexyYa, it's sexy:TLDR:The M1911, because of its history, design, accuracy, stopping power, and, well, it's damn sexy.

What was Arthur Ashe's 'weapon of choice'? (eg - forehand, backhand, slice, etc)?

I'm a former tennis umpire, and I've had numerous one-on-one discussions with Arthur Ashe. Arthur was a wonderful and very intelligent man, which I can tell you from personal experience is a very rare thing to find in tennis players.

Arthur's greatest weapon, by far, was his talented serve. He had great variety, and could hit it flat or curve it ultra-wide off the court. In fact, opponents never knew exactly where to position themselves to return his serve.

Arthur's next best shots were his slice Forehand and slice Backhand. He most often sliced and sometimes hit flat, although he would hit with topspin from time to time.

What is your weapon of choice to carry for protection?

Depends on a lot of factors. I love the .357 mag. Ruger makes a sweet 3.5 in compact 5 shot .357 mag. Beautiful gun easily concealed. It has a compact barrel but not really a snub nose. The 4 inch Rugers in a shoulder holster also make for a wicked carry weapon. .45 ACP is another excellent choice. A double stack .45 ACP is a hell of a lot of firepower in a single mag and is easily carried concealed. Glock, Ruger, Colt and a few others make excellent .45 ACPs. Some of the compact .45s are great weapons though most I don’t care for. Ruger and Clock both make compacts that rock however. In terms of a pocket gun it’s hard to beat a .44 special Bulldog. Light, but packs a wallop. Charter Arms also makes a pretty good .357 mag snub nose. .357 sig, is another great option. Several good options in .357 sig.Which to carry depends on what you’ll be wearing, your age, physical abilities and how concealed do you need it too be.

In a zombie apocalypse, what would be your weapon of choice?

A2A“In a zombie apocalypse, what would be your weapon of choice?”I have always stated that in a zombie apocalypse, I would most certainly want a modern day, properly tempered, collapsible spear. The pack makes it easy to carry around for long treks and sure, some people may say if I get ambushed, I am screwed. But overall, a spear is one of the best weapons in my personal opinion when it comes to a zombie apocalypse. It has range and being more modern built it will have lasting power and durability to last through consistent use, even counting the ‘weak spots’ of the collapsible parts.Pair that with a riot shield and you have full protection and visibility in front of you still.Built to withstand impact force and small firearms, this is the most ideal parring with a spear and hey, if you can manage to get your hands on more than one and outfit some trusted comrades with them, you have a modern day shield wall. Many people also do not factor in weight, the spear is anywhere between3–6lbs, and riot shields range from 6–14lbs.So even rounding up on everything, that is 20lbs of equipment sure, but together I would feel very safe against a zombie horde and in the cases where I need to retreat? Higher ground are a death sentence to many, but if I can get to stable high ground with a spear? Provided I have water, I can eventually thrust through the horde from a safe distance.I’d also have a side weapon, or knife at my side as well. That knife I currently have strapped to my belt resembles this in make.Although not completely, just in concept it resembles that shape, however the blade also makes up the handle part as the handle is just the blade encased in hardwood. But we are focusing on only one weapon, so mine is the spear during a zombie invasion. If I need to get up and close, the range of my spear is as close I ever want a zombie to be.

What food would be your weapon of choice in a food fight?

An apple because it is small and compact and could do some serious damage. I assume that we are talking about one of those life or death food fights from Iran...right?

What's your weapon of choice in a battle to the depressed?

Sunshine and a dog! Take the dog a long walk in the sunshine. I dare you to be depressed after your Llewellen Setter points a few birds. You sit at the table with that dog beside you and give her some of the bird from your plate, you are whole.Vegans, let me be. I’m honest in my meat consumption. I know full well how it got to that plate. I accept the fact that all prey species need a top predator to be healthy. I’m unflinching in my role in the food chain. I own habitat for wildlife as well.

I really want to know the word "weapon of choice", what does it mean?

In the dueling days the duelers got to pick the weapons they both knew and so alot of times the weapon of choice would be which ever was chosen usually swords or pistols
