I actually made an excel sheet that covers both an average score of all episodes from a season and I have both my scores as well as Imdb community scores!Now if your asking Imdb community it looks like in order it goesSeason 5 with a score of 8.338Season 6 with a score of 8.304Season 7 with a score of 8.280And my order looks likeSeason 6 with a score of 8.692Season 4 with a score of 8.455Season 8 wih a score of 8.360Now to dive further into math before I explain my reasoning I consider a great episode that is recieving a 9–10. Season 6 actually has the most great episodes by my score with 14!Those great episodes being: Bart of Darkness, Itchy and Scratchy Land, Treehouse of Horror V, Lisa on Ice, Homer Badman, Homer the Great, And Maggie Makes Three, Bart’s Comet, Homie The Clown, Bart vs Austraila, The PTA Disbands, The Springfield Connection, Lemon of Troy, and of course Who Shot Mr Burns Pt 1.Quite a list but looking over it definately some of those episodes are the most recognizable and iconic episodes in Simpsons history in one season!For reference Imdb only found 3 episodes to be considered in my “great category” being Treehouse of Horror V, Homer Badman, and Who Shot Mr Burns Pt 1.Season 4 and 8 each have 9 great considered episodes from me.
If you were to guess, what season would the Simpsons end on, and how would it end?
They’ve had some close calls with Harry Shearer and other actors/writers, composers, leaving or potentially leaving. If I had to guess, I think they’ll go for a round number like season 35, maybe 40 and that would be pushing it.As far as how it would end, it’s hard because the characters have repeatedly gone through changes or even milestones (birthdays, end of school years, etc.,) but revert back again to keep the permanence of the settings and characters. They’ve also done future episodes but I don’t think they’ll go with something nutty like a huge event or everything being a dream, etc.If I had to guess, I would say that since the first episode aired was Simpsons Roasting On An Open Fire, it would be fitting to do another Christmas episode with all the family, have some basic storyline and end with them either adding to the family (like Santa’s Little Helper) or just ending in a similar sweet note.

Although I can't say that I watched regularly after season 11, I feel I can give a good assessment based what I and my friends feel about the quality of the seaosnsThe earlier seasons were definitely the best. I would say that seasons 2 to 6 were the best as they had Phil Hartman regularly guest star to do many lovelable characters' voices like the lawyer, Troy McClore. Conan O'Brien wrote and produced many episodes seasons 3 to 5It's hard to pick the best season from those 5, and you'll probably come the same conclusion after watching them.Season 7 to 9 are still lovelable but not as many good episodes.Enjoy!

What season should I start watching The Simpsons?
Hello I've been watching the Simpsons for a while. And I must say(most fans will agree with this) seasons 3-6 are absolutely ******* brilliant and the BEST place too start watching. 1 and 2 weren't that good just paved the way for later seasons... And everything past 6 is just ok but it's still very funny... Personally season 6 is where'd I would start. Should be cheap used or new since it's very old... Congratulations on starting watching btw it's an excellent show. Things like South Park and family guy are so very stupid and simplistic and great if your 10... The Simpsons humor tends to be a lot deeper most of the time haha

In Treehouse of Horror IV, after the family says, "Happy Halloween, everybody!" they begin to sing "Hark, the Herald Angels Sing" while Milhouse plays a miniature grand piano and Santa's Little Helper dances.
