What Should Be My Itinerary For A Week In London

How much money would I need to travel to London from India for a two week trip?

Thanks for the A2A!Since I am a traveller, I’m assuming you are asking the cost of a two week vacation to London.I’ll break it up in parts.Transportation (Both Inter and Intranational)- Assuming that you are wise enough to book the tickets at least 6 months beforehand, the flight tickets for a round trip would cost you about 50k INR. The 10 day London Pass (with travel) that you can avail at the LHR airport too would cost 22k. It gives you VIP access to over 80 attractions including the Westminster Abbey, London Bridge et al. You save a lot of sightseeing and commutation money on that one.A moderately expensive apartment on AirBnB would take around 70k for two weeks.Another 30k for moderate quality and quantity of food given that you don’t splurge in restaurants and mostly cook your own food or rely on ready made stuff available in the stores. For extra sightseeing not included in the pass, another 25–30k.SO, that brings the grand total to around 2 lacs. You can very well manage in an amount less than this but that depends on your travelling skills. If you are a traveller, you will need less. But if you are going for a vacation, I guess you might end up spending more.Carry traveller’s cheques and additional 300 pounds with you as caution money. For travelling tips, check out my answers in the profile.Cheers!

How much would a two week trip to London cost?

I actually JUST booked a flight/trip to London (from Minneapolis) for spring break this year. If you can find some decent deals/book ahead, the costs are approximately:

$1000-1300/flight

$1000-1200/wk for a hotel room -- or you can stay in a decent hostel for about $30-50/night

Aside from airfare & hotel, I'd plan on spending about $100/day between food, city travel and attractions. You can get away with less, but it's entirely dependent upon what you do/where you go, etc.

For a two week trip, I would *plan* on total cost running about $2500-3000 each. Honestly, two weeks is a LONG trip... I would recommend more like 8-9 days tops.

A Your are travelling to London on a business trip next week. Your school friend lives there and you would lik?

I don't know where you are staying - I don't know where your friend lives so how can I be specific

but it should be extremely easy to arrange - talk to your friend - tell them where you are staying and if they live in London they will be able to suggest a place to meet - maybe even your hotel.

only one way to resolve your problem - talk to your friend.

What should I do in my two day trip to London?

Two days in London is not a very long, you will have to walk fast if you want to do things in the city. I advise you to do one day around the Thames (the city, the london Bridge, and the docks) and the other day around Soho and Covent Garden. If you have time left, go to Camden Town, it is such a nice place to go !!! If you want to do something different, have a look on the internet to startups that offer the opportunity to visit the city with local (Vayable, BubbleGlobe, Trip4real, etc). You can for instance, discover London over a drink with a local ;)

Trip to London & France?

Why do you want to go to France ? It's full of French.

Seriously, if you want to go to France for a day or two from London it is really easy.

The fastest way is to catch the Eurostar train from Waterloo station to Paris. The journey takes about 4 hours - but it is expensive.

A cheaper way is to catch a budget airline flight from London Gatwick. Easyjet are the cheapest (rotten customer service but you can fly for £40). Trouble is you lose time getting to and from the airport and waiting to check in.

When I go to France (which isn't very often as I can't stand them - most Brit's feel the same way!) I drive to the coast and catch a fast ferry crossing. You can do this from Southampton, Portsmouth, Dover, Felixtowe etc. However, you would need a car or you would e stuck at the docks once you arrived in the land of the Frogs.

Remember - however, if you go - take a cloths-peg for your nose and always safest to take your own white flag to wave in case of invasion. And whatever you do - don't ask to see the War Museum !

Good luck and enjoy !
