What Should Foundation Look Like Up Close

What does your foundation look like up close?

When we removed the carpeting to prepare for new wood flooring, I was surprised to see how structurally sound the foundation of the house was, considering that it was constructed in 1964.Other than a few hairline cracks, the foundation was very solid upon “up close” inspection.

How to make my foundation look good close up?

Any foundation I use looks good from a foot or two away, but when I look in the mirror I look terrible. The makeup looks flakey and gross. I feel like when I am talking to someone they are going to just stare at my face in disgust. Ive tried multiple different kinds of foundations and they all do the same thing. It could be because I have dry skin, but I make sure to moisturize before anything is applied. Any suggestions on how to make it look better?

How to make my foundation look natural?

Use a damp Beauty Blender or knock-off version to apply your foundation. It makes it look airbrushed. It's amazing.

My favorite natural looking foundation is Prescriptives Virtual Matte. It's a satin matte finish and looks amazing. It provides a full coverage but still looks natural. It's $35 but worth the price.

Foundation looks cakey close up under direct light?

Okay so if I go up close with a mirror in sunlight or something looks great. If I look a little far away If im directly under a unnatural light it looks so fine! But if I look closely under an unnatural light You can see a ton of peach fuzz and it hits overall looks cakey dry and bad. I don’t know what to do because I have redness so I need foundation. But if I look that bad When it’s applied I don’t want to wear it. I tried blending for a long time the morning. With a damp real techniques sponge and the same thing when I got really close in my Bathroom mirror directly under the light. I hate it and I’m honestly embarssed if I look like this to everyone at school and mad no one told me. Is it always gonna loook like this close up and completely under an unatrual light. Do I look like this I everyone? It doesn’t look look like this close up I’m photos. What’s schoild I do to fix it and can I fix it.

What foundation will make you look the most matte?

Of the foundations I’ve tested, the original Estée Lauder Double wear foundation. I don’t use it due to how full coverage and mattifying it was on my skin (my face felt like, Sahara Desert dry)Marc Jacobs Re(Marc)able — pure pigment, no fillers, moisture, or anything other than just pigment. Very matte, regrettable purchase. YouTube made me buy it….I’ve never worn a full face of Kat Von D’s Lock-it Tattoo foundation, extremely full coverage and also matte. Those three stand out to me. They are matte but that also means they feel cakey/dry. Clinging to any imperfection or patch of dry skin. They cover any discolouration, but highlight 3D imperfections. You could also use — a loose/pressed mattifying translucent setting powder— or a skin tone matching powder foundation, to achieve the desired level of matte for your look. So that you avoid having to purchase a new, thick/heavy, full coverage foundation.

Why does foundation make my skin look weird?

If your only using foundation and nothing else it will look odd as it will wash you out and make you look more pale(I am extra white and have the same problem). If you used some blush and a bronzer on top it helps. You should maybe go with a light powder instead. I'd suggest going to the makeup counter at your local mall and let the pros show you what fits your skin(It is free as they are trying to sell you make up) and try at least 2 or 3 out of the different counters. Tell them your concerns. Chances are you will find something you will really like(bare minerals sounds like it would be great for you as its super light) and you can find something great for $20-$40. Now, that is more expensive then the drug store, but it will last much longer and do what you actually want it to.

Why does my face look dusty when I'm wearing foundation and concealer?

Well this could be caused by several things. The first thing to consider is if your skin is dry. If It is try exfoliating weekly and wearing a moisturizer and primer everyday before you apply makeup. Secondly it couple be the type of makeup you are wearing. Try a lightweight liquid foundation and applying translucent powder if you get oily . Lastly, a finishing spray can work WONDERS for minumizing dusty looking makeup or if it stars to look cake. I use MAC fix plus and it work great but can be pricey and a more affordable one would be NYX Dewy setting spray. Tbh they both work great.
