having a sweet sixteen is a beautiful thing but don't think about spending money you don't have. Just invite your close friends and family members and do a small party, it doesn't have to be anything big, my niece didn't have a sweet sixteen and alot of girls don't have sweet sixteens, and remember don't think about spending money you don't have or can't get.

Hmmm... sometimes people don't have to have friends come over. Maybe hang out with your family. And how long is it before her birthday? She could try and make some friends then ask them if they could come to her birthday. But if she can't make friends that easily she should just forget about it. You don't have to have a party. Okay, so I really don't want a sweet sixteen party, but my mom and dad are basically saying I have to have one and it's a coming of age thing. I hate parties. With a passion. Not sit at the head of the table, as my parents planned, in a dress and have people I don't know, that my mom made me invite, sing happy birthday to me. My mom wants dancing and presents and a puffy dress. I can't stand any heel that is not on my combat boots. Help.

Going to see a movie a movie theatre, skating at a roller rink, if there is an amusement park near by going there, going to a nice restaurant that the birthday boy or girl enjoys, renting a karaoke room, pick an intrest or hobby the birthday girl or boy has and find some place relating to that interest or hobby they can go to.

It's her birthday party and her choice. If she doesn't want some glamorous party then respect her wishes. Just ask her what kind of birthday party she does want, and follow that request. If you ignore her wishes and throw some elaborate bash, all you're going to do is make her uncomfortable and show you really don't care about what she wants or how she feels. Just show her that she's totally loved regardless of some magic number of her age.
