Help..1yr old with a 102.2 fever? What Should I do?
Yesterday morning my 1yr old son woke up with runny nose, and some coughing...mucus was all clear. This morning he woke up and still had the runny nose, coughing less, but no fever. I took his temp about 4 today because he woke up and felt hot and it was 101, I gave him some motrin and he seemed to feel better some after that. I just took it and now its 102.2... Hes acting less active, does have a diarrhea but not to the point that its constant, and he just all around feels bad. Should I go ahead and start trying to bring the fever down with cold rags..etc..? Its almost time to give him his next dose of Motrin..He took it at 4, and its now 11:15...So, Im sure the motrin is wearing off. And to add on top of that Hes been drooling and complaining the last few days with new teeth coming in so, I'm sure this isnt helping any at all. I dont have any pedialyte on hand so I gave him a bottle of water to help with any lost fluids. Hes going to sleep with me tonight so I can keep a closer eye on him through the night. What Should I be doing for him??
