What Should I Do I Got Superglue In My Eye

I GOT SUPER GLUE IN MY EYE!?

I was fixing a bowl earlier and I got some super glue on my hand. A few hours later I forgot and rubbed my eye and it burned. What should I do? It wasn't a lot.

What happens if you get superglue in your eyes?

Tears will not let it dry up . Wash with plenty of water.

HELP! I got super glue in eye!?

I was fixing something and the super glue formed like a little bubble and the bubble exploded and little bits of super glue landed in my eye I don't know If it actually did but I felt like a stinging feeling in my eye after I felt that I dropped everything I had and ran upstairs then applied eye dropper 4-6 drops then waited a few seconds then washed my eye by washing my face that was for about 2-3 minutes and after I just applied 2 more drops of eye dropper. My eye did not get stuck or anything I just felt big stinging pain in my eye and it was only a little bit it didn't land in my cornea but in the white part that's around it I know that because that part was red. I just need to know if is going to cause eye vision problems or anything anyone who this had happened to them please tell me or anyone that know what can happen also please tell me if I should apply more eye dropper or anything I should do next. Thanks you is that I'm really paranoid when things like this happens also I'm 15 so I don't have a license so I can't drive to the doctor I would tell my parents except they make a big deal out of everything. All help is appreciate thank you

Super glue in eye?

I did this myself, those damn little bottles look so much alike. I realized as i was dropping the drops into my eye what was happening (poor moment to recognize the bottle). Being an EMT I knew what to do...I immediately held the eye open and flushed it with water from the sink tap for a good ten minutes or so....hurts like the dickens. That washed away most of the glue. The solvent left my eye irritated for the rest of the day which I treated with real eyedrops.
No on to your problem: If here eye is glued shut, she should go to the emergency room immediately (though after two days, they may not be able to save the eye any more, I'm sorry) If the eye is open this is much better. I do not know if the glue will disolve on it's own if the eye is closed. If the eye is open, and she just has glue gumming up the lashes she is in good shape and the any glue in the eye itself is already hardened and will be pushed out by eye fluids. The glue will wear out of the lashes eventually as well. If the eye is closed, the lid is likely glued to the outer layer of the eyeball, and if she pulls to much she could tear or dompletely seperate the cornea, leaving no sight in that eye.
Get to a doctor, and good luck

I got super glue in my eye! please help?

dont panic. leave it alone. this is not an emergency, even if your lids had been glued shut (i see that they werent, i'm just putting that in for later if someone searches YA for an answer to their superglue problem)

no, i wouldnt "keep washing". if you can open your eye and you can see...leave it alone. superglue flakes off.

never try to "peel" eyelids apart that are superglued together (another FYI)

What happens if you got super glue in your eye?

It doesn't really harm the eye. If you get it between the lids, against the eyeball and the lids, when it hardens up, it can form sharp borders which can be quite painful. If the eyelids are glued shut, and the eye itself isn't involved, you could just leave it alone and it will slough off usually within a few days. There's no need to rip it off to save your eye as it doesn't hurt the eye anyway. We actually use it for some corneal lesions.

How do you get Super Glue off your skin?

Fingernail polish remover will dissolve the glue. Soaking in water as hot as you can tolerate can also soften the glue, it softens with heat. If it is not interfering with life function in any manner, you don’t have to remove it, depending on who you talk to, whatever the truth of that statement, it usually will not hurt your skin and will eventually peel off as your skin sloughs off. Some cyanoacrylate adhesives contain methyl alcohol which possibly my cause skin irritation, in which case the acetone is your best bet. It is certainly the most immediate.

Burning super glue = burning eyes HELP?

Okay who can answer this? My sister was super gluing a part to an iron back on and when she turned it on the fumes from the melted glue irritated her eyes. Is that something serious or should we blow it off?

I burnt some super glue and the gas went in my eyes and it hurts. Is this bad? Should I do something?

Whatever was released by the burning of the glue has resulted in a chemical burn — that's why the sensitive areas around your eyes and mucous membranes hurt. Seek medical attention promptly; your eyes and sight aren't something to risk. Even if your eyes stop hurting, you may have continual, residual damage occurring the longer your burn goes untreated. You may have sustained burns/damage in the mucous membranes of your nose and mouth as well, and simply can't feel them as acutely. As others have recommended, call poison control or seek treatment at an emergency room or clinic as soon as possible.…and, avoid burning anything (especially unknown chemicals) without proper protection, including positive ventilation, and maybe a bit of research ahead of time.
