What Should I Do I Sell An Item On Ebat And Someone Win The Bid And Then He Canceled His Account.

Can u cancel an auction on ebay if someone has bid?

Here are the rules in ending your auction early on ebay/

How can I end my listing (auction) immediately?

If needed, you can end your listing before the scheduled end date. If there are bids on your item, you can cancel them.

Reasons for ending listings early include:

The item is no longer available for sale.

There was an error in the starting price or reserve amount.

There was an error in the listing.

The item was lost or broken.

Timing Matters

When there are 12 hours or less remaining and the item has a winning bid, including a reserve met bid, sellers cannot make any changes to the listing, including:

Ending the item early. Sellers may cancel bids, but not end the item unless the item is being sold to the high bidder.

Adding to or changing the item description.

Note: Canceling bids or making changes to a listing with bids when there are 12 hours or less remaining, can damage the buyer experience and can undermine trust in the marketplace.

To end your listing early:
Type your item number into the End My Listing Early form. (You can get this number on your listing, on your confirmation email, or on your My eBay page.)

If there are bids on your item, choose between

Cancel bids and end listing early or Sell item to high bidder(s) and end listing early

(If your item has no bids, you can skip this step).

Choose the reason you're ending your listing early.

Your listing will end and will no longer be active on eBay. If there were bidders, they will be emailed that their bid was canceled and the listing ended early.

Note: Your account will still be charged listing fees (such as the Insertion Fee) if you end your listing early. Consider revising your listing first if there are aspects of it you want to change or improve.

In eBay, do you have to sell your item if someone bids on it?

Not always. You can outright cancel the auction there and then, eBay will ask for your reasons why & you’ll still be charged a fee in some cases. And it will cause a detrimental mark to your sellers account for non-performance if seller. You can set a minimum reserve price on your auction and your item will not sell if the auction fails to meet that minimum price. But generally, yes, you offer to sell by listing the item, someone bids it’s theur offer to buy. Assuming they pat, you sell it to them. That’s what you agreed to in your terms & conditions when you joined. Now nobody is going to hold a gun at your head if you don’t follow it through but ebay really don’t like sellers not doing their job when everybody else did theirs, do it a few times & you’ll find yourself banned. It was a common thing not so long ago that some sellers would list an item for 99p with free postage expecting the auction bids to rise, and when it didn’t they’d cancel the sale and relist. eBay weren’t impressed. You set your starting price, if you don’t want up sell it at 98p, don’t start the bidding at 99p. It’s not the buyers fault if they’re the only one bidding, it’s not eBays fault nobody else bid, it’s the sellers fault for not understanding the terms and condition they signed up for and not thinking their costs through. The sellers all got reported as non-performing because they weren’t prepared to sell at whatever ridiculous price they themselves have opted to start their own auctions at, and ended up banned. So no, nobody will hold a gun to your head, but if you set up the auction for 99p or without a reserve, and then refuse to sell because you don’t think the item sold for enough money, you will piss people off, eBay included, and eventually find yourself barred for not following the conditions of the site.

I won an ebay item then the seller canceled my bid after i paid. What should I do?

Check with PayPal and eBay both about their policies. Do you know why the seller did this? Do you have a good ebay rating? What is the sellers rating?

How to cancel a bid on ebay as a seller?

Sign into eBay, go into "My eBay", find the auction you wish to cancel bids on then click to view it. Once your viewing the auction, click on where it shows how many bids have been placed. The next page will show all the bids for your auction. Underneath all the bids, you will see a link that says:

"See how to cancel bids if you need to."

Click the highlighted part "cancel bids" and it will bring you to a page where you can block users from bidding on your auctions and cancel bids that were placed on your auction.

I am a seller on eBay as well, beware of the Nigerian scam!!!!!!

Hope this helps!

Can I make an offer on eBay when someone else has placed a bid on the item that I wish to buy?

Do you mean you don’t want to bid, you just want the seller to end the auction and sell to you?Well, you can try. Most sellers will say no. Some will then Block you from bidding. To begin with, the high bid you see is not that bidder’s maximum bid.If an auction opens at $10 and I bid $100, my bid will show as $10. Only if another bidder comes in at $99 will I have to pay that maximum bid.And smart sellers know that. Some bidders come in early as a placekeeper, planning to bid more later. And smart sellers know that.Early bidding is a sign that an auction will be popular. And smart sellers know that. Most bidding happens in the last few minutes or even seconds of the auction. And smart sellers know that. Most eBay auctions are only seven days and shipping can take more time than the auction. If you have to have it fast, buy locally.Otherwise, bid.Bid once and bid your maximum. You may pay less than you would by making an offer.

Ebay seller wants to cancel transaction?

hi, i recently won a basketbell top on ebay for quite a cheap amount... there were no other bids on the item... around a minute after winning i get an email from the seller saying he has sold the item to another buyer (no other bids???) and he wants to cancel the transaction...

now, i dont really care too much as i havent paid anything but the way i see it is if i cancel he doesnt have to pay his ebay fees.. also, if i had won i would have kept my side of the bargain and paid. if he/she doesnt want to sell at the price then put a reserve on. i was going to not accept the cancelled request and leave negative, is that a little harsh???

How can I cancel the sale of an item I sold on eBay at an auction and the bidder has already paid for it?

You can’t unless you lost or damaged the item so badly it is unsaleable. You made your bed, you have to lie in it.Did you start the bid too low and get only one bidder? You don’t know how much he was willing to pay, only his winning bid. There is a learning curve to selling.Pack it up and ship.Next time- remember that the opening bid in an auction should be the lowest price you are willing to accept for it.EBay is your landlord, not your friend. Don’t take their advice. Most sellers — over 85% —use Fixed Price listings. Auctions are a legacy that eBay keeps around to differentiate themselves from more modern, recently designed sites that only use fixed price listings.

This seller on ebay won't cancel my order, is there anything i can do?

i make a mistake bidding on a pair of shoes. I could have sworn someone outbid me and so i never went back on ebay and assumed the problem was solved. but somehow i won the shoes. i feel really bad about it too. i know the guy wants his money. i sent him a message explaining and he replied "is binding and contractual" so he's not budging. if i ignore this will it go away? what can i do?! :(

Somebody just bought an item I'm selling on eBay, but they have no feedback record and they created their account 2 days ago. Should I be afraid they're planning to scam me?

When I sold on eBay I would be more concerned that a zero FB account was a fake bidder.  I think that there is an option to only allow bids for buyers that have linked PayPal accounts.   The only thing you can really do after the sale as mentioned is to make a good judgement call as to whether or not there is significant risk to continue the transaction.  You can make excuse that the PayPal or the address is not confirmed as reason to cancel.  If you do cancel and can't get the buyer to agree by clicking the button, then the only downside is the lost final value fee and potential Negative feedback.Since it is over $200 you would have to request signature verification and keep the receipt that notes the weight of package to have evidence that refutes the box is full of rocks or sand.    The tracking will keep the buyer from claiming non receipt.  If the buyer claims Significantly not as described file a counter claim if you never received item back so eBay or PayPal might reverse claim if the buyer does not use the same standard of tracking to return the item as you did in sending item. The buyer restriction won't work because it only blocks negative feedback so a bad buyer would have to scam someone else before you to successfully and automatically block a bid.   What I have scene Sellers with high-value items do is  warn prospective bidders in the description that low FB bidders should contact before bidding on item or else the Bid will be cancelled.  You would have to closely monitor the auction and use the cancel a bid option to eliminate zero FB bidders BEFORE the auction ends.   The item may sell for way less but this is the way to reject a bidder without risking the lost FVF and poor feedback.

What dose this mean Administrative Bid Cancellation on ebay?

You did nothing wrong. One of the bidders was a fake.
