What Should I Do If I Get Charged By A Company Without Ever Receiving The Items I Ordered

Watch company refunded my order but shipped it anyway, can I keep it?

I put an order for a watch, but due to a misunderstanding with the customer service they refunded my order. About 15 hours later they shipped that same order.

It has now arrived, and I am asked to pay for import fees to receive it. Can I keep the item or can they legally demand me to send it back?

Received my order but was not charged?

A few days a ordered something from Best Buy and made the initial payment with my credit card. Right away after making the payment I saw the transaction showing up on my credit card. Just yesterday I received a package two actually. One was from Amazon which I knew would arrive yesterday but the second package I had no idea it was from Best Buy until I had opened it. Initially on the email confirmation it gave me a delivery day of 06/02 which should of have been today. I had to tracking number however and on my Best Buy account the order status still said "in progress" even after receiving the package a day earlier. I checked on my account again today and it still says the same thing, except this time I got an email from Best Buy saying that my order was delayed and would not arrive until 06/24. So I was confused as to why I got it so I made sure I didn't accidentally order it twice. But it looks like I did not. I checked on my credit card account and the charge from bestbuy is gone and my available credit balance is showing up as if I had never bought the item. So my question is will I get in trouble if I contact Best Buy regarding the payment? Because technically right now it seems like I got what I wanted without even paying for it. But I'm afraid they will send another item because the delivery status has not changed on my Best Buy order status page and charge me twice for the item.

What happens if we reject COD (Cash on Delivery) orders from e-Commerce websites?

Cancellation experienceI had a friend of mine staying in goa...He had a curiousity of what would online portals do if there is consistent cancellation of cod orders...He started experimenting it...He ordered iphones, xbox, playstations etc on a regular interval of a week from same online site.Till he cancelled 4 products..it was okNext product...i.e 5th product he ordered was a cellphone of 13k...He got a phone call from the local delivery boy whether he wants it or not...Obivously local area delivery men had noticed his mischief...My friend said that he wanted it...when delivery was attempted at his house he asked his mother to refuse it....Now i think local delivery office would have made a complaint about him or company itself would have noticed it.But henceforth his account was blacklisted....many products were not displayed by his account...and he had no cod method available...This is what atlast can happen!!!!But not to worry he has logged in with another email id...He might try it with other online portal...iif he is still curious!!☺

What can I do? Bought something online but never received it?

Recently I purchased something from this website for my halloween costume. I ordered it and payed for UPS 2 day shipping so I would get it in time for halloween. But the order NEVER came, they charged my credit card, sent me an email after I purchased it, but they never sent me another email, like they said they would, giving me confirmation of my order. When I track my order online, it says it cannot be found, but the huge problem is that when I call their damn number they dont answer. I have tried over and over again. Is there anything I can do to get refunded my $80 back?? This is really frustrating me, and has never happened to me either, I have bought a lot of things online before too. Please help!!!

Do I have to return an item I didn't order?

OK, here's what I can offer.

- The wrong item you that received should not be considered a "free gift". BUT the seller did indeed send you an item you did not order. Technically, there is no rule within Amazon that states that a seller who ships the wrong item can ask for it back. It was a mistake on the part of the seller. The seller must therefore bear the cost of this loss on their part.
- I am also reasonably certain that there is little recourse a seller can take against you to recover either the item or the cost of the item.
- Legally, I don't think you are at all required to return it.
- Morally, that is another story. If you have pen, paper and a bit of tape, you should be able to easily pack the item up and send it back.
- BUT the seller should also make a concession to you and give you a partial refund to cover the cost of packing and shipping the item back, assuming they actually WANT it back.
- Any GOOD seller on Amazon will tell you to EITHER keep the mistakenly-shipped item OR immediately offer the concession along with their request to have the item shipped back. I would.

Hope this helps.

Addendum: There is no mechanism in Amazon that lets a seller invoice a buyer for something they didn't order. Amazon handles all invoicing and order processing, so the seller has ZERO way of re-invoicing you for the item they mistakenly sent you. So there is no chance of getting another bill from the seller or Amazon, nor is there anyway the seller can get the money for the item from you via Amazon.

If i get a double shipment of an online order I requested once, can the company request it back?

Lets just say I ordered I high ticket item online. By pure accident the item shipped to me twice. Would the company be able to charge me for it? Request it back? Or is there a possibility that I can get in trouble for not saying anything? This has happened to me before with low ticket items but nothing this pricey. I just want to make sure I don't get in any trouble. Its around 500 bucks worth.
