What Should I Do If I Want To Run Faster

How can I run faster?

Mechanically, there are only two ways to run faster:Increase stride lengthIncrease cadenceThe hard part is doing either correctly and gaining the fitness to do it well. To accomplish both of these things you need:Strength, especially in your core, lower body, and even your feet (yes your feet). Try High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) to increase your strength and aerobic fitness. Also do squats, hill runs, and other exercises (you don't need weights if you're a beginner) to increase the strength of your core, legs and glutes. Having bulky muscles doesn't matter really and can actually hurt you for distance running, but many runners cross-train with resistance training of some kind.Aerobic fitness, as measured by something like VO2 max or heart rate. You'll mainly gain this by increasing your endurance capacity with long runs, endurance cross-training like swimming or cycling, and by correct breathing technique (i.e. don't hyperventilate).Flexibility. Evidence about stretching, especially before a run, is mixed (Should I Stretch Before or After My Runs?). However, flexibility ultimately helps you increase your stride length and fluidity. Flexibility of the hips is actually something that sets elite runners apart (Lower Extremity Range of Motion in the Recreational Sport Runner), but it's important in unexpected places like your shoulders too.Good running form. Good runners have a form that focuses on efficiency of movement to propel them forward. Don't waste energy flopping your arms in front of you or to the sides, run very upright (not leaning forward too much), don't bounce vertically much or at all, and pay attention to the pronation of your feet. As an example, below is a photo of some top marathon runners, including the current world record holder Dennis Kimetto. He's got good posture, a long stride, and his arm movement helps him keep up a quick pace while staying balanced. Keep in mind: mostly you should focus on increasing cadence, as it's very easy to cause problems by overstriding.Which of the attributes above–strength, endurance, flexibility, and form–that you'll need to emphasize is dependent on your body, your experience running, and what kind of race you want to run faster. In other words, your mileage may vary, quite literally.

How to run faster?

If your primarily doing sprints, do simple workouts that make your leg muscles stronger, such as high knees, fast jump roping (not like preschool games) and hollow bodies(lay on your back on the ground, arms at your sides, and lift your legs 6in from the ground. No higher or lower.)
Also, do some runs, and 400m sprints to get your endurance up.
Then you want to learn to make your feet quicker with tecniques like karyokies.
Just some simple reminders: pump your arms! Dont be afraid to use your arms. Keep them close to your body and dont put them straight at your sides like your a toy soldier. About a right angle with your elbow, mabye a little smaller. dont make a fist either. put ur hand like ur about to karatee chop someone or like u are trying to hold a pringle without breaking it.
Also, stay on your toes. dont go into a distance, heel-toe form.
Make sure u stay on your toes.
Now, dont hunch, and stand tall. Keep your head level, you dont want to keep your head too high, it will slow u down. You dont want to keep your head down, you will stumble and fall.
Keep you head level like your looking at the thing your sprinting at. If needed, pick up ur head very slightly.(just how some runners run.)
I really hope this helped you and hope u will become a faster sprinter!

How can I make my laptop run faster?

Hmm... First, try uninstall unused programs, cause some programs may work in the background without you noticing even though you don't launch them at the first place. After that, disable those startup programs of those you don't want it to be uninstalled but not to be started automatically during startup by typing msconfig at Start (or Run...), hit OK at the User Account Control (UAC) dialog box  (if you gone there for the first time), at the Startup tab, select those programs you know and deselect them if you don't want to see them starting automatically at the next startup. And finally, (get a cup of coffee before reading this, it'll be a bit long here) increase paging size by going to Control Panel > Performance Information and Tools > Adjust Visual Effects (at the left sidebar), at the Visual Effects tab, select Let Windows Choose What's Best for My Computer, after that (without closing the window), go to the Advanced tab, press the Change... button at the bottom. Inside there, uncheck the Automatically Manage Paging File Size for All Drives checkbox, select the Custom Size radio button in the middle, input the value (in MBs) at the Initial Size box as 2 times of your current RAM available (assume you have 2GB of RAM = 2048MB of RAM, type 4096 at the Initial Size box), next, input the value (also in MBs) at the Maximum Size as 2.5 times of your current RAM available (type 5120 at the Maximum Size box assuming 2GBs of RAM = 2048MB RAM installed). Press OK twice, restart and (hopefully) this can speed up your computer a little.P/S: The methods above are obtained randomly (anywhere but trusted) from the internet and tested at my (dad's) computer and some of my school's computers. All computers I'd tested are running Windows 7 and above (which includes Windows 8 and 10). It works quite well. But I dunno whether it work in Windows XP or not. I just hope that this way may help out speeding up your computer. ;)Sorry for my bad English and my loooooong post here!! :P

I want to run faster. What should I concentrate on to improve speed? Do I push off more or increase cadence?

Hi there!Your goal is just to run fast, but there are so many questions behind that as well, like..How fast?To how much time interval you want to run fast? Duration of your run.Why you want to run fast?and so on…So i would assume them and answer you in the most suitable way.1) How fast?Ans:- Let suppose you want to run at your optimal level (the maximum you can go). So to increase that or use that you must have those muscles which help you run faster. The calf, thigh, gluts and hamstrings these are few of the most important muscles/muscles group which help in producing the energy to run faster. So focus on training them and make them strong, the more stronger these muscles/muscles groups more faster you could run.2) To how much time interval you want to run fast? Duration of your run.Ans:- Let just say the duration is just for few minutes (if you run at the peak you cannot maintain it for very long), let just assume 2 minutes at your optimum level. For this the training can play a very important role. You need to train your body the way to take and bear this load for entire 2 minutes and so (don’t be a fool and go for it on the same day, increase the duration gradually, for example start with run for 10–15 seconds in a four to 6 sets everyday for a week, then increase the duration by 5 more seconds and so on). The more you train the better and faster you will achieve your goal (running at your optimal speed for entire 2 minutes (you can increase this 2 minutes interval but that require hard work)).3) Why you want to run fast?Ans:- Finally what is your actual goal? I assume it is for personal fitness. In this case you can do and train at home and at nearby parks. But if your final goal is any competition or sports then you need to hit the gym along with your coach and instructors. Now at the end i want to tell you one well know fact which you would be requiring to increase your speed. If you want to run fast or even run then you must have a good cardio vascular system (your heart, respiratory system combined). You can achieve this as well if you do not possess it by training and planing . Along with all these training and workout REST and DIET are also very big and important factors for your goals.Hope this would help you.TC

How can I run faster in Fortnite?

Rocket launcher is the best way though..Well, you can’t run faster in Fortnite. You can only run with the default speed. But there are ways that might help you to reach your destination faster.Rocket launcher. This is only useful if you are playing squads or duos. You shoot the rocket under your teammate when he jumps. It is like the fastest way to transport.2. Using Launch pads. It is one of the fastest way to transport. It is highly effective if you build up to a great height and then launch from their.3. Using the Bouncer. Quite fast if you use it correctly. I have seen players placing it horizontally, which is not the right way for the fast purpose. You should place it vertically, opposite to the place you wanna go. Then bounce. Bonus: You don’t take any damage regardless of the height.4. Golf carts. In season 5 there are golf carts, it is the f2nd edition of transportation in Fortnite. It’s quite handy. It is best if you are playing squads or duos.5. Shopping Carts. The first edition of transportation. It slows you down on the inclinations(0+). It is best if you wanna go downhill.6. Impulse grenade. They are quite good. They do throw you far. But on the downside, they do cause a lot of damage to the user.(depends on the height of fall)

Why do runners want to run faster marathons?

For the elite runners the answer is obvious, they run to win. Amateur runners have different motivation, I'm sure some of them are perfectly fine with how they run and don't necessarily want to train hard to improve the times. I can answer for myself why I started training for faster marathons. When I started training for my first marathon I didn't have any particular time goal, I only wanted to finish. And that is perfectly fine goal shared by many new marathon runners. I've run this way a few marathons but after a while this becomes boring and repetitive. At some point just finishing yet another marathon is not longer a real challenge. Marathon courses, at least those which are formally defined and certified as such are sort of the same no matter where you run them. It is same distance, it is mostly flat and most of the time it is somewhere in the city. If you run and train for them the same way there is really not that much difference between one marathon and another. Now if you actively focus on running them faster it becomes a different story. This requires more focused, harder but in the end more rewarding training. And each new marathon again becomes a fresh challenge instead of turning into something what you can perform as a routine.

How to make Bluestacks run faster ?

You can throw all the ram you want at it by changing a registry key on windows.
HKEY_local_machine/Software/bluestacks/... then on the right look for memory, change it to 600 or up. But I've found that it really doesn't matter how much you throw at it, it won't really make a difference.
I have quad core AMD FX running at 4400 mhz, 16 gigs of ram, 10,000 rpm raptor western digital drive and a GT620 1 gig ddr video card. Yet even with throwing 5 gigs at it, it still runs laggy. Running android x86 is the better option, but not in a virtual machine, as they have NO hardware acceleration. Running it by installing it would be better, just resize your partition, then download the LIVE cd from livecdlist.com then install it to the open partition...then you can dual boot, better if you have two drives, one for windows and the other for android... Hope this helps someone.

What should one do to run the computer faster?

Well I am assuming you want to run the computer faster without upgrading your computer.

You should remove unnecessary programs from startup. If you are using Windows 98/xp type msconfig in Start->Run
Select Startup

You could also remove unnecessary programs running in the background by removing them from the task bar. (Ctrl+alt+del)
Use a cache/ram management optimizing tool.
Defrag ur hd if you can(it takes a lot of time, not worth it if u ask me). Donot install antivirus programs that hog up too much of memory. You could use AVG antivirus which is pretty light on ur system resources and so on...

How do I run faster? What muscles should I work?

16:30 would be close to a winning time in most 5Ks, for a 16:30 you need to come out fast to obtain a good spot, slow slightly in the second mile and start accelerating again in the third and tear it up in the last half mile. Most people will tell you not to come out too fast in a 5K, that’s true if you aren’t a strong runner but if you want to win you need to stay with the front 5 runners or so or you simply wont have time to make up ground.I had a sub 15 minute 5K at 34, most 5K runners are slowing down the last mile to half mile, if you want to do *really* well you need to be able to speed up, not slow down in the last mile, especially the last half mile. The way I train is to hold my desired speed for the entire run and then increase my intensity / speed in the last 5 minutes. On a treadmill / stairs / bike / rowing I’ll increase an intensity level with 5 and 4, and 3 minutes remaining and then every 30 seconds with 2:30 remaining. What that does is train the body to be able to perform at the level I want for the whole race (say 11 mph) and then actually INCREASE at the end.Essentially the point of the first 10–12minutes of a 5K is to get you to the last 5 minutes in a position where you can win, the actual race is the last 3–5 minutes.
