What Should I Do With My Samsung Galaxy S4

How do you repair the screen of a Samsung Galaxy s4?

Repair the  phone ,The tools required for this repair are minimal and can be found in many retail stores. You might need to visit a few different ones or you can always order them from our tools page. For this and most Galaxy series phones you will need the following.PH00 Phillips driverThin pry toolHeat gunThe Phillips driver and heat gun can be purchased from any hardware store. Technically you can substitute a hair dryer for the heat gun but expect your repair to take a while longer and there will be an increased risk of damaging the flex cables inside of the phone which are held in place by a very strong adhesive. The pry tool can be anything from a .73 mm guitar pick to a fingernail. With guitar picks being so cheap and widely available we recommend buying one as they tend to come in handy for a lot of different things even if you aren’t a musician. These can be found at any music store. In this video I will move the logic board and other major components into a new Samsung Galaxy S4 mid-frame AMOLED assembly. Note that there is a small silver cover that sits on top of the charging port held in place by two outer case crews. The cover is not visible after one of the transitions as it fell out of the phone during the repair. Note that there is also also a small pink square on the original mid-frame that can be transferred to the new one.All the tools and the repair parts you can buy it from the HCQS.US

Does the Samsung Galaxy S4 support LTE/4G?

I'm going against the grain here: It depends.GSMarena says that it doesn't support it, but it supports HSPA (which isn't 4G, but offers comparable speeds) (Source: Samsung I9500 Galaxy S4)However, Samsung says that it does support it in the specifications (Galaxy S4 (Black) | Samsung Australia)So what is the difference here? The Galaxy S4 on Samsung's website is the i9505 while the aforementioned GSMarena has the i9500. Checking the i9505 page confirms that it has LTE.You'll need to type in the model NUMBER (found in about phone) into google to find out as I do not know which model you have.EDIT: The linked phone does not support 4G.

How can I do to upgrade Samsung Galaxy S4 mini to the last Android version?

The Galaxy S4 Mini is quite a decent phone, even for today’s standards: a 8 mp camera (and 1.9 frontal camera) with the ability to capture 1080p video, at 30fps, 8 Gb of ROM and almost 2GB (actually, 1,5) of RAM, and a decent screen size. However, its official update program only allows the OS to be upgraded as far as Android Kitkat (4.4.2). Not exactly a major issue, given it is quite a lightweight and (still) capable OS version, but i understand the lack of certain commodities that newer versions of Android bring with them, compared to Kitkat.Your best option is indeed to flash a custom ROM image into your Galaxy, a scary and daunting process in the past, but a common technique nowadays for people who want to take the most out of old devices. For every custom ROM, there is a different Android version, and the choice of which version to go with is entirely up to you. I would suggest sticking with Android 5.0 or 5.1, as even though it can also be considered an “old” version of Android, among the newer versions, it benefits from having decent levels of compatibility with older smartphone models, while being less demanding in terms of resource usage. ROMS like AOSP, or LineageOS (former CyanogenModOS) can provide you with the breath of fresh air your phone needs. You can find some detailed and easy to use guides and tutorials on the XDA Developers forum down below, a personal favourite of mine for Android customization related issues and questions.Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Forum on XDA DevelopersHope i helped, and an upvote is always appreciated! :D

Should I buy a Samsung Galaxy S8 if my current phone is a Samsung Galaxy S4 and I've been using it for four years?

Yes if you are willing to shell out the money. If you live in the US you are gonna get SnapDragon835 variant of the S8.But if you live somewhere else you are gonna get the Samsung Exynos Bariant and believe it or not, the Exynos variant is faster than its Snapdragon Counterpart. Here are some images of the S8Image source: Google. You should change because it is a large upgrade over your laggy S4(I am assuming) but be prepared for no physical home button. The fingerprint scanner is on the back a little hard to reach but still. You have the iris scanner on the top of your mobile. But mind you the Samsung S8 is more prone to dropping down because it's a little slippery so you might have to put a case on it.And it's totally worth it. What's the problem in spending an extra $15 to protect something that costs $724.99?Here are some cases I would recommend.1-Spigen Tough ArmourAvailable on amazon for $15.99.Feel free to upvote if this helps you on buying the S8!

Will a Samsung Galaxy S4 case fit a Samsung Galaxy S4 Active?

I'm having the same trouble. I called OtterBox to see if their Galaxy S4 Commuter Series Case would fit the Active and they said that it wouldn't. The representative I spoke with also had no information on whether there is anything in the pipeline for the Active. I've tried searching other brands as well and have had no luck with finding any cases from what seem like reputable companies.

How do i get my samsung galaxy s4 to not stop filming after 35 min of filming/recording video?

I film my lecture in class with my samsung galaxy s4 and every 35 min or so (my guess cause around this time when i look down the film has completely turn off) and so I would have to click the record button once again to start recording again. This will stop again after 35- 40 min of recording. Since my class is 2 hours long I would preferred to just shoot a whole 2 hour long video rather then break up into short 35 min videos. Anyone know how to extend the video recording pass 35-40 min? I tried looking in video setting but there is no option for it. Any input would be helpful. thanks

Should I upgrade my Samsung Galaxy S4 to Lollipop?

If you're still on Kitkat, stay there. There are dozens of bugs in the lollipop update for S4 at least. Some of the major ones being:A simple phone call doesn't connect through in the first try. This happens multiple times a day. Music player stops responding when you try to access your Playlist. The phone has a lot of lags. Hangs sometimes. Even while using Whatsapp! This shouldn't be expected from an S4!Many others..
