What Should I Expect In My Interview With Captain D

I have an interview at Captain D's tomorrow. What should I expect?

Expect to have to back up everything you say in the interview or wrote on your application.

"Why do you want to work here" - don't say it's because you need the money. they don't care what you want. they care about what you can do for them. say that you like the atmosphere, seems like they treat their employees nice, you like the food

"Why should I hire you?" - don't say "I don't know", don't sit there and think while the manager is waiting for an answer. say "because I am a hard worker and reliable and honest and I like to work and I am a good cook"

Sell yourself to them. What can you do for them? Be professional. Follow up with them the next day. Talk so the interviewer can hear you. Keep good eye contact. Push your chair in when done with interview. Be courteous.

"Tell me about a time when you worked hard" - be prepared. have these answers thought of ahead of time. tell the interviewer that you work hard every day in school or you help your mom keep the house clean or you are responsible for the outside of the house or whatever.

"Are you reliable?" - don't just say "yes". elaborate. tell him that you like to work and you will be there to work when scheduled.

"Why aren't you working at ________anymore?" - don't badmouth the last job, if there was one. State the facts and leave it at that.

"Why do you want to be a cook?" - don't say because that is all they are hiring for. say that you like to cook and you like to make the food look good on the plate.

You should expect to be able to tell the interviewer what you can do for them. You have to stand out above other people who applied. Remember your manners. Keep good eye contact. Use their name by saying "hello Mr. ______" or "thank you for your time Mr. _______"

How do you think my house captain interview went? :/?

I went to an interview in order to become a house captain (like a team captain) for my team at school. Last year I went, too, but I didn't win. This year, I feel like I improved but maybe not. It went like this.

First the teacher asked me what qualifications I have. I said I have perseverance and I don't give up on my ideas. Then I said I'm used to handling stress because I have to do lots of work.

Then he asked me how my house (team) did last year. I said we were second and only 47 points away from the winning team (which is true). I don't think this matters much.

Next he asked me why I want to be a house captain. I told him that I like my house very much so I want to work with everyone and bring us to victory. This is pretty corny but this is how I geniunely feel. Last year I only went because of it being good on one's CV.

He also asked what I'm going to do to organise the next sport day. I told him that we'll probably stick to last year's format because it works.

Lastly, he asked me if there's anything I'd like to add to strenghen my argument. I couldn't say anything. Then again, no one could, I asked everyone and only one person could answer that, she is last year's captain so she said "it's fun being captain". I feel bad for not answering this question but I don't feel like this is a very good question because I find it similar to boasting. How could I've answered it?

I was also quite gigglish during that interview. I'm not sure if I was too nervous or I am quite comfortable. Is it bad being gigglish? (I did talk quite freely though)

Tell me how you think I did, and do you think I'd get the spot? The results come out next Tuesday. Thanks!

Is it okay to call Mcdonalds and ask for an interview before actually getting called for one?

So I turned in an application for Mcdonalds on 2/21/15 and I have a hard time waiting for things so I want to know If I can call Mcdonalds and ask for the interview instead of them calling me for one.

How much do you get paid per hr. working at Captain D's?

I'm 16 and I applied for a few fast food jobs in the area and thankfully,
both Arby's and Captain D's called to set up an interview this Thursday. Well, I was looking around to see which job paid more and found that Arby's pays $6.25 an hr. Just wondering if somebody knew how much Captain D's did..
Thanks :)

What are Captain D's grooming policies?

I would think particulars about hair length and color would be determined more by the store manager than by the chain.....

Do you realllly want the job? If so, I'd say to shave, dye over the streak, and tie your hair back in a neat and tight pony tail. Let them know during the interview that if necessary, you would agree to cut your hair (if indeed you would.)

The problem is, no restaurant wants to deal with customer complaints about hair in their food. (You have to agree, that's disgusting.) Fast food joints attract "middle America." - so they'd be more prone to hire someone with a mainstream look, so as not to alienate customers.

Should I wear my ACU's to an ROTC interview?

I have an interview on Wednesday with a Captain for an ROTC scholarship. Should I wear my ACU's? I am already enlisted and completed basic training (split ops), so I don't know whether I should wear my ACU's or just a button down shirt and tie, etc. I would wear my dress blues but my unit already took them. Any advice? Thank you

Drill team officer tryout interview?

I just went through interviews for dance team captain at my university. Walk in confident. I walked in with a list of ideas I had for the upcoming year and a tentative budget that I had done some research on. That seemed to be really impressive to my interviewers.

Be prepared to answer why you want to be an officer. Focus on the positives. If you didn't like the way things were run last year, say something like I'd like to really build upon last year by doing this this and this.

I was asked some questions like, if a team member was late, what would you do? What if she was late everyday? What if she was your best friend? Be prepared for situational questions like that.

Most of all just walk in with confidence. Have the mentality that for the length of that interview, the position is already yours and you're just talking about some ideas. Good luck!
