What Should I Pack For A School Cheer Competition

How much does competitive cheer cost?

It depends where you go. Here are the average start-up fees:

About $90 for registration
About $60 for practice clothes
About $90 for shoes
About $300 for competition uniform

It costs about $100 monthly, depending on where you go and your level. Most people take tumbling classes in addition to this, which is about $60 monthly.

Cheer competition name ideas?

You can use 'Spooktacular." For example, your company's name.. followed by Spooktacular Championships.

Cheerleading competition and period?

I wouldn't compete...nobody wants blood on their heads.

I have been rejected for the MUN competition from my school by very bad marks. What should I do to cheer myself up?

I wonder what kind of school you are in. Take my advise bring it to the notice of your parents and ask them to register a strong complaint with the competant authorities. In the past I have done several MUNs and I have very little positive to say about them. MUNs in concept are simulations of the actual debates happening in UN. But unfortunately little debating happens in MUNs. So if you are sad about the fact that you are missing on a very good opportunity then don't be. Marks are not the exclusive measure of your talent. History is fraught with examples of people who were great orators and people of power and knowledge  who haven't done well academically. But please make this no excuse for not working hard. Be focussed on your studies and yours marks will improve with time. Read a good book or go out with friends or family to keep your spirits up and remember that you are more than just your marks.

Should I join cheerleading or tennis for high school?

This brings back memories as I was in your exact position back in high school (which was 10 years ago--holy cow, I'm old now).I ultimately chose tennis. However, I will say that I absolutely loved cheer for the one year that I competed. In fact, I transitioned to competitive cheerleading after doing gymnastics for a couple years, which made cheer seem "safer" in comparison. The major advantage of joining a cheer team is that you have a team who you'll develop strong bonds with. Doing stunts, tumbling, and dancing all while being perfectly in sync with each other and smiling through sprained joints are examples of hardships that bring people closer together. So if cheer is what you enjoy, by all means pursue it.In the end, the key differentiator for me was the risk of injury and amount of time required. Tennis players from my high school have their fair share of injuries as well, but not nearly as often as my cheer teammates experienced. The total hours required for practice was about 75% of my cheer practice hours. Tennis is actually a rather lonely sport (read Agassi's autobiography "Open" for deeper insight). Ultimately, it's you out there alone on the courts and no one can help you but yourself. Pretty different mentality from cheer.  So what do you value the most? Understand your internal value system and go from there to make your decision. Good luck!

Do high school cheerleaders ever cheer in nylons?

When I was a cheerleader we had to wear nude pantyhose as a rule - I think its cos our school was mainly catholic. Each of us had to bring 2 pairs to performances so we could change if we got any runs or snags.

It never really bothered me but some of the girls didnt like wearing pantyhose and used to complain, and it was certainly better for the winter months

My parents wont let me do cheerleading plz plz help!!!?

ok so im 14 and next year for high school i want to either join the high school cheer team or a competitive cheer team....but my parents said NO!! and not just "no i dont think its a good idea" but "NO NO NO!" and im rly disappointed because all of a sudden a couple weeks ago i started thinking about cheering and how its looks fun and its beautifulll. so the reasons they said NO! was that 1) the uniforms are rly 'showy' if u no wat i mean but they rly arent that bad they dont show the stomach! 2) its a 'girly sport' but ya no wat?? im a girl! so i say thats absolutly fine and 3) the sport is only to show off to guys which i can sorta see but im gonna go to a CATHOLIC high school and thats exactly why they have less showy outfits sooo im rly pissed right now... can u guys give me advice?? MUCH APRECIATED!!! <3 and also i dont want to talk to them in person about this cuz they want me to just drop the subject so should i write a note? or something else?? thank u guys so soooo soooooo much!!! and just in case this helps i do competitive swimming so i think im strong enough not sure tho:)
