What is the function of vitamin E to our body?

Antioxidants such as vitamin E act to protect your cells against the effects of free radicals, which are potentially damaging by-products of energy metabolism. Free radicals can damage cells and may contribute to the development of cardiovascular disease and cancer. Studies are underway to determine whether vitamin E, through its ability to limit production of free radicals, might help prevent or delay the development of those chronic diseases. Vitamin E has also been shown to play a role in immune function, in DNA repair, and other metabolic processes

Which vitamins are best for anti aging?

You need to take vitamins internally through supplements and externally through lotions. As for vitamins, I use Nutrilite Complex for Hair, Skin & Nails. If you are not familiar with Nutrilite, it is an organic vitamin company with farms in Washington State and California. It has made my hair stronger and my skin healther. Go to http://Arcameda.com and click on Vitamins then Women's Health. If your diet is not that great, start to take the Simply Nutrilite Women’s Supplement Pack. It has a calcium, omega 3s, and a daily multivitamin.

Now to treat the physical signs of aging, it depends on what you are looking for. Artistry is an amazing line of natural products for anti-aging called Time Defiance. It also depends on your skin type. They have Time Defiance Skin Care System for Normal-to-Dry or Combination-to-Oily skin. They systems come with a cleanser, toner and lotion with natural ingredients like Indian fig and omega, equalize and optimize hydration. The main thing is the night recovery lotion that is also part of the system. It increases skin’s collagen and elastin for dramatically younger-looking skin. They and I know it improves the appearance of skin while boosting hydration by 181%!! Go to the Arcameda and type in the search box aging.

Now if you are looking for smoothing:
1) Artistry Alpha Hydroxy Serum Plus. It perfectly blends the exfoliating properties of alpha hydroxy acids with oat extract, a clinically proven skin soother. In just 12 weeks your skin can feel 60% smoother.

2)For natural, non-acid exfoliation, see Artistry Time Defiance Skin Refinishing Lotion. It improves skin texture by 52% in 12 weeks. For all skin types, including sensitive skin.

For a full exfoliating kit, I recommend:
Artistry Microdermabrasion System: It consists of Artistry Polishing Scrub, Skin Refinishing Lotion (the one above), and the MicroExfoliation Cloth at no cost. At Arcameda search for the word Microdermabrasion for the kit and exfoliate for the other two.

Lots of info I know but I am big on fighting aging and signs of aging is everywhere so the right tools are needed. Go to my profile to email me if you need further help. Hope all is well.

Why should people who live in the north take supplemental calcium Vitamin D?

Vitamin D can be synthesized in the skin from UVB rays. The farther north you live the fewer direct UVB rays in the sun light, plus the more clothing people wear. Also the darker your skin is the less D your skin makes, also the more fat on your body, the more D you need because D hangs out in your fat. UVB rays are blocked over 90% from glass too, so your car with windows up doesn't give you any D. You need to eat fish or take a supplement. studies show that 1000 iu's per day reduced risk of colon, lung cancer, prostate cancer and ovarian cancer by up to 50% if you getting D from milk alone you need a quart of milk per day...drink up

What vitamins are good for your eyes?

REAL TALK: Vitamin A is the essential vitamin known to help improve vision, but if your mother is postmenopausal (has already had menopause), she should be extra concerned about Vitamin-A related bone loss. A handful of studies have found that women that uses twice the daily recommended daily amount (RDA) of Vitamin A (2,310 UI for women 19 and older) were at greater risk of osteoporosis and had an increased rate of hip fractures.

Vitamin A is also found in foods of animal orgin (egg yolks, liver and milk products), fortified foods (low-fat milk and breakfast ceral), and Vitamin A can be produced in the body when you consume foods that contain beta carotene, including sweet patatos, pumpkin, mangos, cantaloupe, apricots, tamatos, red peppers, peas, peaches, papayas, winter squash, and one other, spinach and kale. So, if you get her a Vitamin A supplement, make sure they do not contain a total amount that exceeds the RDA.

Hope this helps!
