What size is a boys 14/16 equal in mens size pants?
My son is outgrowing clothes in the boys section at most stores but I have no clue what he will need in the mens section. He is only 9 so though i had a couple more years. Anyways does anyone know about what size pants would be in the mens section? He is Autistic and will not try on pants in a store so I can't just do that. Bought 14/16 pants at walmart the other day and they are two tight and bug him so need to go a little bigger but the pants he likes don't come in bigger so we are looking at mens and trying to figure out what would work there. Would it be like a 28/28? Or would it be smaller than that? I figured out the shirts he wears a size small in mens but the pants are a little more confusing for him.

I'm thinking shirts are like between a sm. an med. where as the jeans are like a size 28 to a 30. I'm assuming, my dad wears a 30/30 in jeans an a sm. to med. in t-shirts an he can wear a student 18.

It all depends on the brand. My son can wear a 14/16 from Target but not from Sears where he needs 18/20. Men's t-shirts that have a decal or picture on the front tend to run a bit small so he gets a medium in those. Something like a button up or polo shirt would fit well in a men's small sometimes but sometimes can be to broad shouldered. You might want to buy only from a place where you can return it if it doesn't fit.

I think you would be looking at men's jeans (if you're an 11 in women's jeans). Men's jeans are way easier because you just need your actual waist and inseam measurements, and that's your size. I love buying men's jeans because I have a straighter build, and no women's jeans come in my length. The men's jeans fit me better and the length is always perfect. Good luck!

I pretty much wear size 18 boys department pants, cuz I'm too small for my age to be a normal human. I'm more like an accident, but anyway....I measured my waist with a tape measure still attached to the actual tape measure, so bending it in a circle made a lot of noise and created a lot of kinks; either way, this measurement came close to 28-29. I know there are men's department clothes that fit me, but somehow the biggest stuff in the boys department fits me as well. So, what's the deal?
