What Size Screwdriver Would I Need To Replace The Shell On My Xbox 360 Remote

Is there a special type of Torx T10 and T8 screwdriver needed to take out the screws in a Xbox 360?

you may need to buy a torx security driver one with the really small hole in the tip

Can you open an xbox 360 with an Allen wrench tool, or do you need a torx screwdriver?

I just repaired my 360 earlier this week with my only torx wrench being a T10. But you also need a T8 for the RF module and the screws that hold the metal case to the motherboard/X clamps. So I ended up grinding down an allen wrench to fit into the T8 screws(cause of my impatience)and I still stripped a few of them. So I very highly recommend just spending a couple dollars and get the torx bits it will be whole lot easier and cause alot less damage.
If you have yet to take apart your 360 then don't, just send it to Microsoft. And in about a month(I guess I'm not real sure how long it will take)they will send you a working 360 and they will also give you a month of Xbox LIVE for free.

How do I fully reset/wipe my router & PC to make sure I'm safe if someone has accessed both of them?

Mattia Campagnano usually nails it, but this time, there's an important caveat: reset might not actually be a reset. There are tons of attack vectors that involve re-flashing commodity WiFi routers. If you're hit by one of those, and you reset the router to factory defaults, wow, congrats, you just handed control BACK to the attacker, because it's running his version of the OS....And the same is true of the PC. If you've been hit by something like Mebromi which re-flashes your BIOS, you can toss your old disk drive, re-format, do a clean OS install - and still be re-infected in a matter of minutes as soon as you go back on line. (Voice of experience here). So, the real answer is IT MIGHT NOT BE POSSIBLE.You need an assessment as to what damage has been done before you can know how to fix it, because the worst thing you can do is THINK that it's fixed, when it's not.Now for the good news: unless you're a target of particular interest, it's unlikely that your router is compromised beyond possibly resetting DNS to allow for man-in-the-middle attacks. Or, more to the point, it's so easy to take over routers remotely that there's almost no chance they did it while in your apartment. :-) (Yeah, OK, so that's not really good news...)On the PC, the biggest threat is someone (a) exporting your data for their later perusal (what I'd do if I had access and intent) or (b) installing a keylogger, or rootkit, or remote-access trojan. If they exported your data, well, there's nothing you can do.If you have reason to believe that it might be possible that someone installed malware, you should remove the drive from the system, and using a known clean system, scan it thoroughly, removing/repairing anything that is of note. Then do a clean install on a NEW drive, copy just your data over from the original, and carry on, doing a full wipe on the old drive (and tossing it, if you're really paranoid).Good luck.

I'm going to build my own gaming PC, and I need advice. Can somebody fully explain the parts of a computer and its terms?

I think of the computer parts like this:Platform, this includes the motherboard, cpu and minimum amount of ram. The platform is the part of the computer that you will keep the longest, think 4-5 years minimum. The ram is upgradeable, so you can skimp on it, starting with one 8gb stick is just fine.Storage, I consider 250gb ssd the minimum for all but the cheapest computers. 1-2TB hdd on top of that. Storage is easily upgradeable, so you don't aim for futureproofing here. Also you can move storage between computers.Graphics system, includes the graphics card and the monitor. You size the graphics card according to the monitor resolution and refresh rate. This is also upgradeable easily, so even if you skimp on it you will be fine. This is also where you will get the most benefit as a gamer.Support, This includes the case, coolers and power supply, you size these based on the things you choose previously. You add a 25% buffer to the power supply. So if your pc comes up at 400W, then 500W power supply is the minimum you can get.
