How to sell, prep, and deliver custom portraits or Etsy?
Great questions! I wish your question would have been up and answered when I started etsy last year! I actually found someone to handle all the order fulfillment via a couple of other etsy sellers! You may want to checkout FinerWorks. I created an account with them and set up quick order info so they would have my business/personal info stored in their system. After I'd had a pretty busy month, they upgraded me to their pro section where I was able to manage my own orders, run reports etc.. As far as shipping, you want to portray that everything is coming directly from you. With etsy their can be no third parties involved. So the answer to whether or not you have to is yes and no :) Here is a great resource for how FinerWorks handles order fulfillment: http://finerworks.com/info/order-fulfillment-guide.aspx Just worry about making sure you know who is shipping the package and all the ins-and-outs involved (like costs, time frames, etc) before you fill out that section on your etsy account. In regards to your other question -They have good resources for artists who need to have their work printed. I know that they provide professional scanning services at no cost when you order from them - but if you want to scan yourself, and the artwork isn't too large, use a flatbed scanner. You just need to be sure your scanner is clean/free of any debris and most importantly make sure you have set your output, or target results (completed scanned document/image) to the actual size you want your print to be. The next important step would be to verify your resolution is set to 300. Target the artwork only, once its on the scanner-bed, and scan. After you've scanned, your going to want to adjust the levels before printing, otherwise you will end up with what looks like photo-copies of artwork. Ideally, you want your prints to look like originals. What size collar for a pomeranian pup?
Looking to purchase a collar online for the puppy. He comes into town the end of june. He will be 12 weeks by the time I get him. He is a pomeranian pup. On etsy the collars come in XS, S, Med, L I want this collar to at least last a year ...If at all possible but I want it to fit him when I get him. XS is a 6"-8" and a S is 8"-10" i looked at a ruler, but still am not sure.
