What Size Skateboard Should I Get

What size skateboard should I use ?

your shoe size has NOTHING to do with the size of the skateboard deck (board) you should buy. it's a myth- i know people who thought so. neither does your weight or height.
if you plan on street skating or doing flip tricks (which is what most people start out skating), get a board less than 8 inches wide. your friend is right, 7.75 is a pretty good size for street skating. i used to skate a 7.625 board. it was alright, but i got a 7.5 deck, which feels much more comfortable (for me), and i've landed tricks a lot better as a result of being more comfortable. it's really just personal preference however- remember, the thinner the deck, the easier it flips.
even though height and weight dont play a part in the size of the deck you buy, you should not get a deck less than 7.5 wide- smaller than 7.5 are decks made with little kids in mind.
basically, i'd recomend somewhere between 7.5 and 7.75 deck. heres what blackholeboards.com says about deck width: Width: the most important aspect of the deck. Most deck widths range between 7.5 inches and 8.0 inches. If your are a short, youth skater try a mini deck with a width usually under 7.50 inches. If you are not a youth skater then pick your style of riding. A technical/flip trick style skater should try a board between 7.50 and 7.825 inches, and a vert or pool skater should try a board around 7.825 and wider. Just a reminder, as important as width is to a deck, it is still more a personal preference than anything else.

here is what blackholeboards says about truck size:
Trucks are basically the axles of a skateboard which connect the deck to the wheels. When choosing trucks, choose a size within at least 1/4 of an inch of your deck width. So if you choose a deck that is 7.75 inches wide, find a truck that is 7.5 to 7.75 inches wide. The height of trucks may also vary by 1/4 of an inch. If you ride larger wheels (usually over 55mm), a higher truck may be more suitable. Therefore, if you ride smaller wheels (54mm and lower), a lower truck may be more suitable. When building a complete, you will need two trucks.

What size skateboard deck?

7.75 is good, because it's right inbetween. Not too big, not too small. So you can skate street and tranny good.

If I’m a shoe size 7, what skateboard size should I get?

Depends on what you want to do. A skinny board like a 7.5 or 7.75 will be good if you want to learn flip tricks like kick flips and tre flips, etc. Since your shoe size is a 7, I would advise not going above an 8.0. But it also has a lot to do with the style of skating you want to learn. Its also fun trying out different board sizes and its a learning process finding just the right size and shape.

I'm 23. Which skateboard size should I use?

Depends on shoe size. You will realise that wider boards compared to your feet has more stability and easy to do flip tricks on. Smaller boards can give you more control and can help you with some ledge/rail tricks. Most really tech skaters use small board compared to their feet, but its whatever that suits you. P.S pay attention to truck sizing as it goes with board widths as well.

My shoes size is 11.5 what size skateboard would be best for me to ride?

wrong section buddy

What size skateboard should i get? size 14 shoes?

Try an 8" at minimum. It's the most popular size. Most street skaters I know with 12+ sized feet skate 8.25 or 8.5, some even larger. Most manufacturers make boards in an 8. Plan B goes up to 8.5, while Santa Cruz, Creature and Bacon can go up to an 8.75 in a Popsicle stick shape and a 9.75 in a hybrid shape.

What size skateboard deck should I ride?

First off what size are your feet because i have bigger feet and I prefer a 8.5 but I've skated a bunch of different boards to find my happy medium, also next thing is your style of skating do you do more flip tricks and technical tricks or grinds because a smaller board can be flipped around faster but is also a smaller space to land on. It might take you some time to find your happy medium with your board because I started on a 8.0 then went to 8.25 then 8.335 then to a 8.5 also different boards will have different concave and feel a little different I'd say if your into flip tricks and more technical start with a smaller board like an 8.0 or 8.25 see how it goes ride it shred it break it and at that point when you go to get a new board decide if you want to go bigger smaller or keep the same board because it's all personal preference. Bigger boards like an 8.5 and up are more space to land on mind you that it's possible to still do flip tricks and be technical with a bigger board it just takes a little more effort, just an example when I first learned kickflips I was able to just barely land kickflips on an 8.5 then ride my buddies board which is an 8.25 and i was almost pulling off double kickflips, so again its personal preference but take into consideration your shoe size, the type of skating your into and just give it a go to find your happy medium. Also keep in mind when buying different sized boards you need to get new trucks to fit your board they make smaller trucks for pike 8.0 and maybe to an 8.25 but bigger than that and you might need to get bigger trucks.

What skateboard size is the best for a size 12 shoe?

It’s totally up to personal preference. I wear a size 10 shoe and find 8.25 most comfortable. 8.5 feels too big and 8 feels too small. I’d guess that someone who wears a size 12 shoe would suit an 8.38 nicely, although they’re harder to find in stores. You’d probably be better off getting comfy on an 8.25, as they’re a popular size and you’ll never have to hunt around too far for one. 8.5 is probably still too big unless you’re quite large.

What size Skateboard Deck Should I buy if I have size 9.5 feet?

It doesnt matter the board size but it depends on how you want to skate,
Heavy board are harder to kick but you can land tricks like cake
light boards are a little more tricky and harder to land tricks but omg you get so much air off of then and if you land the trick its perfect

What size skateboard deck suits me?

I used to skate a lot, but then i quit for a period of two years, now i'm 18 and my shoe size has gone up to two notches. I was wondering, since my shoe size went up to a size 12, does that mean i have to ride a bigger deck (which was originally 7.-7.75). I noticed when i got on to my old board, my kiclfips were acting gay, it the flip part not the popping that wasn't working for me. No it is not because i need retuning with my flips, but i was thinking it was because of my bigger shoes. Could somebody recommend a size for me.
