What Software Should I Use To Remix Music

How do I learn to remix music?

It depends on how you would want to remix the song.Let's start with the tools. If you wish to mash two or more songs up, I highly suggest Ableton Live, as recommended by other people who have written an answer for this post.Using Ableton Live, you should learn this to make life easier:Warping. In Ableton Live, you are allowed to warp song, which allows you to change the BPM of the song without it sounding too stretched. This is a useful feature when you want to: Sync two songs that have different BPMUseful when you are mashing two songs that might have different BPM, or are in a different genre (for example, big room escalating to hardstyle (128BPM - 150BPM))Create markers on a song to edit it.I once made a mashup using the acepella of "Eye of the tiger". As the vocals are rock vocals and may not have a constant BPM, the markers allows me to fine tune the vocals to ensure that it completely synchronized with song.2. Harmonizing.Usually, it suggested that you understand how songs match in terms of key, as it will make sure your remix will always be musically correct. As a DJ, I tend to find mashup ideas while I'm DJing, because I (bad habit) over rely on the accuracy of my key analysis in my DJ software. But, we are all born to tell whether a key is off or not, even when we are not musically trained. As such, when thinking of songs to remix, use your gut feelings and feel. There are tools out there to ensure everything is synchronized. So, don't lose hope if you're not musically trained or the only harmony you know is Racial Harmony.3. Idea generation.Ideas are everywhere, and I mean EVERYWHERE.Once I was playing a EDM song while my friend was blasting classical music, and I realized that they had the same feel, thus giving me a mashup idea, and the mashup turned out perfectly. When lacking inspiration, take a look at your surroundings, sometimes the best ideas are always in front of you.And that's all I have to offer. If I made a mistake, do tell me and I will edit.Good luck!

Which software programs do DJs use to make house music?

Hi,It's called Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). It is basically a computer program designed for editing, recording, mixing and mastering files (digital audio). You can record your various instruments and controllers, lay down the tracks, rearrange, splice, cut, paste, add effects, and finalize the song you’ve got cooking for the world to hear. Professional, semi-pro and home studios mainly use DAWs as their backbone for making music. Here's a list of music production software (DAW) that most of DJs [of different level] use to make music:Ableton LiveFruity LoopsLogic ProPro ToolsReasonGaragebandAcidCubaseReaperStudio OneBut if all you want is a little more control than iTunes or VLC provides and you don’t want to spend any money you might want to try one of these:1). Mixxx (Mac, Windows & Linux)2). Virtual DJ home/LE (Mac & Windows)3). Cross DJ free (Mac & Windows)Happy Dj-ing!

The price doesn't matter....Ease of use is kind of but not really (Im thinking quality mixes wayyyy over a peice of crap mix that was easy to make.)
