What Songs Are Fall Out Boy Singing On There 2014 Tour

What are the song/s that make you feel nostalgic or bring you back to good old times?

I'm going to use long ago from my perspective, because I'm relatively young.Counting Stars by OneRepublicMy high school had show choirs, and accompanying bands typically filled by the band students (for those who may not know what show choir is, I like to think of it as the marching band of the choir program. They both sing and dance, it's usually high energy, and honestly a lot of fun to be involved with). So I came to be involved in the show choir band my sophomore year of high school (2013–2014). How is a potential story for another day. The show choir performed Counting Stars as the 4th song in its show, and immediately segues into the finale, The Pheonix by Fall Out Boy. After a season of that, two things happen every single time I hear that song.I am instantly transported back to 2014, dressed in all black, standing behind those risers that always shifted more than I thought was safeIt is impossible for Counting Stars to end without me wanting to sing the intro to The PheonixShow choir band is never an experience I thought I would remember so fondly, but no other song sends me back to a time or place like Counting Stars does. Thanks for reading!

Picking a song to annotate for English?

For homework, I have to pick any song and annotate it. I have to find examples of figurative language, imagery, sound devices, hyperbole, allusions, etc. and then I have to find the tone of the song. I listen to a lot of music, I have over 1,200 songs on my iPod of all variety, and I am a very indecisive person and cannot choice one. Does anyone have any suggestions on what song to pick that will be good for this assignment? I listen to bands of all kinds, like All Time Low, Pink Floyd, Blink 182, Simple Plan, the Airborne Toxic Event, Darkest Hour, Muse, Paramore, We Are The In Crowd, 5 Seconds of Summer, Fall Out Boy, Green Day, Heffron Drive, Linkin Park, Lovers and Liars, and Matchbox Twenty (just a few of my favorite bands). So if you know any songs by these artists or artists like them that are good for this homework assignment, please let me know!!!

I have a crush obsessed with Fallout Boy. Should I learn all of their songs to relate to them?

Do what makes you happy. But Remember; You're just one of thousands, maybe millions of FOBs fans. But you have a life that FOB isn't responsible for, you probably have friends and family who deserve as much love and loyalty right there where you are, don't waste too much time chasing the euphoria. Be thankful for the people in your life, share your love for FOB with them. And make more memories to be thankful for.

What are your favorite Fall Out Boy lyrics?

Not in particular order. I just type what comes up my mind first. When it comes to a “favourite” lyric, I always see lyrics that relates back to my life.“I’m a loose bolt of a complete machine” - Disloyal Orders of Water Buffaloes“You are my favourite ‘what if’, you are my best ‘I’ll never know” - Fourth Of July“I know this whole damn city thinks they need you, but not as much as I do” - The Last of the Real Ones“You say please don’t ever change, but you don’t like me the way I am” - Sunshine Riptide“You are what you love, not who loves you” - Save Rock and Roll“But the only ring I want buried with me are the ones around my eyes” - It’s Hard To Say I Do, When I Don’t“I wanna scream I love you from the top of my lungs, but I’m afraid that someone else will hear me” - The (Shipped) Gold Standard“Last year’s wishes are this year’s apologies” - I'm Like A Lawyer With The Way I'm Always Trying To Get You Off (Me & You)“Oh yeah I’ve got friends who are stars, but some are just black holes” - 27“Say my name and his’ in the same breath, I dare you to say they taste the same” - I Don’t Care

When'd you first start listening to Fall Out Boy, and what emotions do their songs (Just One Yesterday) bring out in you?

Well, I don’t know many of their songs, probably just three or four.I think the first song I listened to was ‘Dance, Dance’ because it was on one of my youtube playlists and I’m not sure if I really liked the song at that time but it was there. I don’t remember listening to it many times. Then I remember listening to ‘Centuries’ on the radio around 2014, and I really liked it so I searched it up on YoutubeWhen I listen to the few songs I know I feel like they’re a bit agressive, not in a bad way, by that I mean that I feel like the delivery is energetic and makes me feel some kind of strentgh that makes me want to sing loudly and full of confidence. I think it’s because it sometimes sounds like the vocalist is screaming the song or just singing some parts louder and I think that’s cool because it helps to transmit the emotion.I also liked ‘Immortals’ when I listened to it on Big Hero 6, I think it was perfect precisely because of that strenght I’m talking about which of course fits in perfectly with the superhero theme.About the song ‘Just one Yesterday’ I hadn’t listened to it, but I just did and I feel exactly the same as with the others :)

What is a song you'd recommend?

Some songs by artists similar to those above:Debbie Gibson - Lost In Your EyesABBA - S.O.S.Hall & Oates - ManeaterJanet Jackson - When I Think Of YouThe Police - Every Little Thing She Does Is MagicToto - AfricaJust some of similarness in the above. Below are songs and artists quite a bit different but still just as good:Van Halen - JumpTom Petty and the Heartbreakers - RefugeeStevie Wonder - SuperstitionSaga - On The LooseThe Cars - Shake It UpBlondie - Heart Of GlassFleetwood Mac - GypsyMike and the Mechanics - Silent RunningJust a short list because I didn’t want to take up too much space. Anyway, there’s a lot of music out there. My recommendation if you want to know an artist’s music better is to listen to a greatest hits album by them and listen to the songs there. Then, if you like that, go and find the studio albums those songs were originally on and listen to the whole thing. It’ll give you lots of music. After you’ve exhausted the artists you have, go to the radio or find the music stations on tv. I recommend the tv as there will be no ads (unless you use pandora). My playlist used to consist of around 100 songs total, and by doing that it’s grown in the last 6 months to 450 (32 hours of music). Happy listening!

On a scale from Fall Out Boy to Panic! at the Disco, how emo are you?

One can enjoy Fall Out Boy and Panic! At The Disco without being emo. In the Fall Outsong "From Now On We're Enemies," it says, "I just want to better than, your head's only medicine." Which means they want to be liked by more than suicidal emo kids and he considered a real rock band of modern day.In my 12–14 stage, I was kind of weird. I listened to a lot of music that and emo kid would: FOB and PATD, Paramore, All Time Low, Melanie Martinez, Twenty One Pilots, etc. Never ever liked MCR though, ewww. But I was never emo. I was a fun loving but shy kid who loved fashions and choir. I just seemed like an emo in my internet usage and music taste. Just a weird cringey phase where I didn't know who I was, except I knew I didn't want to be mainstream. I only had one band shirt from my cringed stage, and that is a P!ATD shirt (an acid wash blue one I refused to be goth and buy a black one) that has now since been retired to my pj shirt drawer. But now I'm over that. I'm a boho, flower child, indie kind of girl. My music tastes include 60s and 70s Coachella stuff, 80s alternative new wave, and indie of today ( My current obsessions are Cosmo Pyke, Boy Pablo, Rex Orange County, No Vacation, Clairo, and Tame Impala). But occasionally, I will still listen to some FOB and P!ATD. FOB has some good songs I'll listen to on their older albums before they gained radio fame and changed their style. So I do not really like today's FOB. And for Panic at The Disco, I will always love Pretty Odd! It sounds so vintage and fantasy like… And Ryan Ross made it amazing with his voice and lyrical genius abilities. I wouldn't call that album emo at all. And there are several tracks on Vices and Virtues I still like. But looking back at TWTLTRTD and Death of a Bachelor, I cringe. And the new album that's out I hate completely. I also still think that Ryan Ross (post 2011 after he grew up from his emo stage) is a super cute guy. I love his dog filled Instagram! But I am certainly not an emo and don't listen to the majority of that stuff anymore.
