What State You Think Will Go Against The Legalize Of Marijuana

Will the United States ever legalize marijuana?

The first state will fully decriminalize marijuana within 5 years. Denver already legalized possession of 2 ounces, but the police still enforce state law prohibiting it. It seems likely that Colorado will be the first state to actually legalize it fully. It will be extremely limited at first but will eventually be merged with the medical marijuana community and dispensaries will grow more prevalent, but heavily regulated and taxed. But with the large surplus of Marijuana growing coming as a result, product would actually reduce in price.Personally, I would have to say it would be a good thing. The sheer amount of people going to jail for mere possession of marijuana is a huge injustice that would be corrected. Mexican drug cartels that kills thousands of people per year would lose their cash crop with the legalization of marijuana as cheaper and far more potent strands would exist inside the United States. I also believe once responsibility is taught rather than scare tactics, teenagers will be less likely to abuse drugs.

Why do you think marijuana should be legalized?

I'm writing a paper and am collecting data and stats from both sides of this argument. To those who believe marijuana should be legalized, why do you think that is? What would be your counter-argument against someone arguing that marijuana should be kept illegal in the States?

11 states legalized 39 to go wat do u think?

Doesn't matter. It's not legal at a federal level. States can pass things all they want it is still illegal. States don't overwrite federal laws. They can only be more strict, not less.

Why are Republicans against legalizing marijuana?

Legalizing pot would cut into the drug profits and the Republican members of the government would not get as big of bribes for spending your tax dollars keeping it illegal.

Minnesota Marijuana Legalization?

According to a few sources, there are hopes that marijuana legalization legislation will be drafted in time for the 2013 legislative session in Minnesota on January 8th. What do you think the odds will be that marijuana gets legalized in Minnesota in the near future?
