Good question. Let's weigh the pros and cons, shall we?Arguments FOR Jesse being a bad person:1. He cooks methThis one is pretty obvious. The guy is a meth cook, plain and simple. He is the REASON Walter White gets into the meth business. If WW hadn't seen his former student Jesse Pinkman jumping out of that window in the pilot episode, he might not have been motivated to even contemplate becoming a meth-cook.2. He continues his association with Mr.White even after all that has happened to his life as a result of it and sides with him even when his sub conscious tells him Mr. White is wrongThis is pretty subjective. One school of thought might believe this makes Jesse a 'bad' person because he (knowingly or unknowingly) is an alibi to the crimes committed. Others may consider this as 'Jesse being a good friend/partner to his co-worker'.3. Tries selling meth to his rehab matesPretty horrible thing to do, one could argue. This, again, is a result of Jesse trying to expand the meth empire he and Mr. White have built. Arguments AGAINST Jesse being a bad person:1. Has a strong moral compassJesse is portrayed as a person who hates violence and murders. He especially loathes harming children as evident from the episode 'Peekaboo' , 'Phoenix' and 'Dead Freight'. He often seems the most caring among all the characters in Breaking Bad. 2. Helps his friendsOffers Skinny Pete, Combo and Badger work and helps them with cash when ever they need it. 3. Sticks up for his partnerDespite relentless persistence from Gus and co, Jesse sticks up for Mr. White on numerous occasions. He could so easily have given the green light to Gus since he already knew the recipe to cook pure meth and had nothing to lose. But no, he stuck up for his buddy. 4. Doesn't poison Gus with the ricin Because he believes Gus 'doesn't deserve to die' . Again, takes us back to the first point. He has a strong moral compass. So, overall, there seem to be more points in favour of Jesse being a 'good' person rather than a 'bad' person. I'd call it a transformation from bad to good. (Jesse from season 1 to Jesse in season 5).We often talk about Walter White's transformation from Mr. Chips to Scarface, but, to me, Jesse's transformation from bad to good is almost as dramatic, if not more.

What is something interesting that you noticed about Breaking Bad that is not commonly noted?
Some thoughts:Most of the adult leads are apparently orphans - Walter White’s mother is alive (although unseen); there is nothing to indicate what happened to his father. Apparently Skyler and Marie’s parents are both deceased. Gus Fring’ parents are not shown, nor spoken of during, nor are Mike Ehrmentraut’s. Hank Schrader’s family is never spoken of at all. The problem with this in a modern narrative is that most people in their mid-40s to early 60s in the developed world are going to have at least one living parent. Since the narrative in question was so serious (A man dying of cancer tries to get his affairs in order being the overarching matter) one would think that the character’s would have sought support from their parents if any existed, Their absence is notable as is the fact that story barely touches upon the subject.The narrative introduced Gustavo Fring as having a wife and children…and then dropped the matter entirely - To be blunt, if Fring had a family, then the events later in the series make little sense. Mike and Walter agree that they need $10 million to resolve the outstanding issues after Fring’s murder..but never approach the unseen Mrs. Fring for the money. Ummm…huh? The easiest course of action ( as it would be unlikely that the Widow Fring would want the DEA and the police seizing the money) was not the course of action taken by the protagonist? Why not just get the money from her???Saul Goodman is a very nice guy. Too nice - Since Better Call Saul had not yet aired when BB was on, the attitude of Saul Goodman seems to be incongruous. He hints that Walter White should kill several people, but he never undertakes the acts himself, even though one of the people involved (Jesse Pinkman) presents a direct threat to his freedom and his life. He knows that Walter White is falling apart, but doesn’t sell him out to the cartel. Although he knows where Walter is hiding his money, he doesn’t take part (or all) of it when things begin to fall apart. He flees, rather than trying to cut a deal with feds when he could have only received probation or even given a “walk.” The series never explains why Saul Goodman, who is demonstrated to be pragmatic, isn’t always so, especially when it could benefit him.More as time permits….

In Breaking Bad, why does WW say 'stay out of my territory'?
They are buying all the ingredients to make meth. Walt knows this because Jesse explained to him how he did his cook, then Walt applied actual chemistry (with more stable chemicals) to his cook. He advised them that it was not smart to buy all of those ingredients at one location because it would be clear in any investigation that they intended on making meth. At that point in the series, Walt has gotten good news about his cancer (the tumor has shrank and is now operable) and he's decided to get out of the meth business (because once they sell the rest of what they made in the episode '4 Days Out' he will have the amount of money he'd already figured his family would need). It's a good scene that starts to show the possibility that, no matter what Walt says is his reason for cooking, he likes it. So he puts on his 'Heisenberg' persona and tells them to get out of town.
