What was a game that you bought felt like a rip off?
Fallout 4.‘Why this?’ You may ask. It’s a good game, fits into the Fallout lore perfectly and plays like a charm; well you aren’t wrong.Until you get to parts like thisand this. The reason for these pictures is simple, the screenshots are from the PS4, looks pretty good, right? Welp, some mook decided that the PS4 and XBOne should have the same settings for shadow distance jacked up to an astounding 14,000; this, alongside the fact that bodies and weapons wouldn’t disappear from the over world for thirty in-game days, clutter and pack density, contributed to single-digit fps rates that persisted and spoiled your gameplay at every turn.Then we’ve got dialogue, coming to you live from Mass Effect is the dialogue wheel…only it’s the little brother, baby brother.This is the most boring thing I’ve ever seen in my life, previous Fallout’s had variety in their speech systems, some even had improved speeches for certain upgraded (or downgraded) skills. Fallout New Vegas for example.Certain things left a bad taste in my mouth, Kellogg is one of them; you spend a good portion of the game searching for this badass.Dude’s over 100 years old, came from the NCR and has a damn awesome outfit.How does the conflict with him end? In a shootout with a small army of his synth troops, a small convo and then blasting away while he hides via stealth-boy. This dude should’ve at least had a skill check to be an optional companion, but no, we just get a typical Hollywood shoot-out with no emotion attached.And then we’ve got teammates. Dogmeat and Curie are okay, Piper seems a tad odd and Valentine is just awesome, Cait’s as Irish as Irish can be in 2287 and MacCready has surprisingly mellowed out after Little Lamplight…What can I say about the characters I didn’t like?Post-Apocalyptic Buzz LightyearWatson..I mean Wats-I mean CodsworthMatrix: 2287Greased Lightning (With a four-speed on the floor.
