What Subs Should I Get For Regular Cab Truck

Will subs fit in regular cab Toyota pickup?

Most of your off-the-shelf truck boxes will not fit. MAYBE if the seat is slid all the way forward, but nobody is going to drive around daily like that. Kicker makes a couple loaded enclosures that are DARN thin. The TCompS10, TCompRT10, and TCompRT12. If those are still too deep, then check out the Kicker Hideaway. It's a sub, box, and amp all built into one. Even comes with all the wiring.

What is the best sub for a single cab truck, and how large of a box should it have?

For starters, I would never recommend a 12" sub for a small cab truck. Most 12's require big enclosures to get the proper sound. If you are doing all this to just get a little bit of bass to add to the sound quality then a 10" sub will do just fine. If you are the kind of person that wants the BIG bass then I would still only recommend a 10 but just use two of them. The amp that you are using is fine. If you like the Fosgate sub you have then I would suggest the newer dual voice coil 10" Punch. You should be able to find two of those for about $300, maybe less. They require a .65 cubic foot sealed enclosure. Very small for the sound they produce. If you aren't stuck on brands or price then what I think would work best for your set up is a JL 10W6V2. Just one. That sub offers different size enclosures for the sounds you want. It can go down to a .5 cubic foot enclosure if you so desire.

How is seating in a regular cab pickup truck with 3 people?

I am thinking about getting a toyota tacoma regular cab cause it's like the only truck I can afford. How's seating 3 in a front bench seat? Is it even possible? Have you done it? Comfortable? Cause I tried out the tacoma half rear door model (with the suicide doors) and there is no way anybody over the age of 7 could fit back there!!! Total waste of like 4k to upgrade. Anyways, how's seating in a regular cab pickup. Keep in mind the tacoma is much smaller than your average F150

Do regular cab truck seats adjust?

I want to know If a regular cab pickup trust set can adjust the back and length, I know the ones can with the thin window behind the door but the ones with no window behind the door if that makes sense, because I want it with only 1 window per side but not if i cant adjust, thanks.

SiNGLE CAB TRUCK-?

depending on the year of truck makes little bit of a difference. A single 12" will give more bass output and hit harder, but a 10" will be more accurate and give better sound quality. Also subs need specific air requirements to sound the way they should, Depending on the year and the sub enclosure will make the difference, Most prefab sub boxes for trucks will be the same size box with either a 10" or 12" hole cut in it, but it still has the same amount of air space. most of the truck boxes have .75 cubic ft of air space. most 10" subs require .625 cubic ft of space for optimal sound and 12" need 1.25 cubic ft of air space for optimal sound. Subs are like feet, they need the right size shoe. If you put a sub in an enclosure that it too small, you can damage the woofer

Sound system in a single cab truck?

you first need to find out what YOU want
subs?
new door speakers?
both?
subs will add bass and yes you will be able to have a small sub in your cab, and it will make sufficient noise because it will be right next to you, while i with a 4 door car will need bigger speakers to hear it through the back seat and because of how far away it is.
new door speakers will add more loudness and quality to highs and mids, and maybe more of a "pop" to your bass where a sub will add the feeling.
another question would be, do you have a aftermarket head unit or one with rca outputs (this would be for a an amp that would supply power to new door speakers or maybe both?)

edit:one thing to keep in mind is pairing subs with amps, for your door speakers you will want a 2channel amp. you will also need a 1 channel amp for your sub. this may take up a lot of space-2 amps. so you may just want to get 2 new speakers that will work with your current head unit. look up your head units specs online or on your manual, then find its RMS at what ohms. then divide this by 2. this is what rms you will be looking for on a new set of speakers. they will be very cheap but will produce nice sound. (i bought a pair for 30$) but make sure they are 3 way. which means they have lows mids and tweeters.
the sub sound be neither xplod, or any low grade pioneer. i always use sonicelectric.com to find what i want. then go to crutchfield.com and find more info about it, maybe check amazons comments. use the sonicelectrics "narrow your results options" under sub woofers and amps to find one that matches the correct rms at the correct ohms

a sub- http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_1179... -250rms at 4 ohms

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_2444... -box that is .75 cubic feet internally which the sub recommends (you will have to take a tapemeasure and find out if it will fit in your truck. make sure to give it 2-3 inches of sub movement)

amp- http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3436... -300rms at 4 ohms (a little more power than the sub is okay as long as you dont use it, i used this amp with my own alpine type r before i upgraded and it never failed me)
you will also need a wiring kit. for your internal speakers you will need to find out what size they are and follow my instructions above

What does LTZ stand for, on the back of cars and trucks?

Not sure how we got talking about fords and whatnot. … but there's a bit of incorrect info here. So let's straighten some things out. Barring special editions, it's basically 3 different trim levels. I do not recall the “L” designation, but “S” is a level above base model, usually with cloth interior, but some upgraded features. “T” is the highest standard trim level, basically matching that of a cadillac. “Z” is SPECIFICALLY a performance upgrade. Z71, Z24, Z28, etc. 71, fullsize, off road package. Wheel flares, nerf bars, 4wd, lighting, and sometimes other upgrades, like skid plates, lift, lsd/lock, and so on.. 2’s are sport performance, with the engine to match. You can get all z packages in base trim, and even further stripped down. For instance, a true Z28 doesn't even have a radio, sound deadening or power door/seats.

Can you put speakers in a single cab truck?

you can buy sub boxes specifically designed for regular cab trucks. Those fit right behind the seats and there's room under the seats for the amp. The door speakers are pretty bad in my 01 ranger. I recommend replacing those right off the bat and adding some tweeters in the dash or the tops of the door trims.

For running power and audio to your sub amp its easiest to pull wire through the carpet right underneath the center consol. Just remove the cup holder directly under the stereo head unit and then cut a slit in the carpet behind the center console. Push the fish wire from back to front as there's a dropoff about half way up. Its also possible to run the wires under the bottom door trim but I don't like that option due to possible wear and tear from stepping on it.

Would 2 15' subs fit in a 05 ford focus trunk?

I don't think it will fit man, a sub box for 2 15' subs is close to 19' tall and I doubt your trunk is that high. Maybe you should go with 4 12' subs or 2 12' subs that are a good brand. A lot of the 15' subs that are available are pretty low quality, get 2 12' from a major brand (Audiobahn, Alpine, JL etc) and you'll be satisfied with them.
