What Supplements Should I Take

What supplements should I take to get ripped?

I am not trying to get big in any way. I want to look lean and ripped. I currently run around 3 miles a day. I want to know what supplements i should take before and after my work out.

What supplements should I take?

i've recently started boxing and muay thai, with a good amount of cardio, not much weight lifting, but some kettle bells here and there, planning to get some weights in during the week though soon. i was wondering what supplements i could/should take to help my performance, endurance, or just getting better in general, with out jeopardizing my health.
i do muay thai once a week, boxing once a week, pad work once a week, spin like twice a week, and conditioning like twice a week. (sometimes more, depending on work, but that's the min i do.) what could i take to help me, but not harm me? i hear weigh protein is benefitial, but i'm not really lifting weights. what should i do?
thanks

Should I take supplements for muscle gain?

You  should concentrate on eating correctly and training properly with good  form as they are the foundations of any mass you will gain. As far as  supplements, I would stick to a whey shake post workout, that's it. Whey aids  in tissue repair as many other benefits. Whey protein is a rich source  of branched chain amino acids (BCAAs), containing the highest known  levels of any natural food source. Whey protein is an excellent source of the essential amino acid,  leucine. Research has shown  that individuals who exercise benefit from diets high in leucine and  have more lean muscle tissue and less body fat compared to individuals  whose diet contains lower levels of leucine. Whey protein isolate has  approximately 50% more leucine than soy protein isolate. Whey protein is a soluble, easy to digest protein and is efficiently  absorbed into the body. It is often referred to as a "fast" protein for  its ability to quickly provide nourishment to muscles.

What supplements should i take to gain muscle?

creatine: none at your age
protein: whey- 20g pre, 50 post, 25g casein before sleep (2-3 cups of skim milk is fine)
sugar-free energy drink: 1/2 serving pre work out (sugar free monster best)
(energy drink for B vitamins and caffeine)
eat lots of lean meats and veggies through out the day, eat 2-3 servings of fruit in first half of day limit complex carbs...but take some before a work out, multi-grains best...eat little 'healthy' snacks through out day to stay in anabolic mode...Nitro-Tech is a great protein supp but a little expensive but way better than generic whey protein mixes but plain whey is way better than naught.. with a sugar free monster and a protein bar (i like met-rx colossal 100) pre work out and two scoops of nitrotech post work out and a light meal or snack

What supplements should i take as a vegetarian?

Vitamin B12 is the most important thing that vegetarians cannot get from food, as it is only found in animal products. You could either get a pill, eat fortified foods (check the nutrition facts label for b-12) such as cereal and bread, or take another supplement such as nutritional yeast, which is a good cheese substitute (tastes like parmesian) as well-

What supplements should I take as a beginner at the gym?

If you have the resources, then why not take a course and learn nutrition? Learn all you can about eating healthy. This knowledge can serve you well the rest of your life.Chances are, though, if you have a poor diet and are overweight you are low on potassium. The odds are your potassium levels are not at all good if you have a junk or fast food diet. This can lead to increased risk for colon cancer and heart disease.Try taking a potassium supplement and see if your energy levels increase. Potassium is the intracellular cation that powers cells. Potassium is found in very large amounts in fresh fruit, along with the fructose to power up cellular function. These are things you just don’t get with refined sugar or corn syrup. Think of potassium within cells while sodium is in extracellular fluid. There is energy potential between them. Cells are sluggish and shut down when there is low potassium supplies. All the refined sugar in the world can’t meet this need.If you find you have more energy simply by taking a potassium supplement, then consider taking some nutrition and health courses and learn more.Follow the manufacturer’s recommendations when using supplements.
