What System Do I Want

What do you want in an operating system?

Operating Systems are resource managers, you want them to properly (efficiently, securely etc.) manage your system's storage, memory, i/o's, ports, file streams and so forth. The memory print, the size on storage etc.You want them to easily accommodate generic applications and at the same time support various architectures and devices. You want them to be easily configurable. You want them to be easily updated and continuously secured/hardened.Some want them to be open-source for governments, military and research purposes.Other external matters of consideration could be the support teams and the community support available.

What economic system do liberals want?

It depends on the person. The tag of liberal is pretty broad. Economics are complicated. However, in general, most liberals are in favor of capitalism and a free market with protective restrictions in place. The idea that a free market will cure all problems is mostly rejected by liberals. The idea that capitalism can do no wrong is also rejected by most of them. Where the differences come is at what level should we manage or restrict the market and capitalism. To be fair, anyone with any sense of practicality also believes this to some degree. Even the most hardened “conservative” does not believe in a legal market for assassinations, for example. Or in removing all regulations around food safety. Only those with a deep libertarian bent believe that nothing should be controlled by the state, not even the roads we drive on. The difference between conservatives and liberals when it comes to economics, in the US at least, lies primarily in the overt recognition of whether or not restrictions are needed and to what degree.Let me give you a quick test. This works well for knee-jerk liberals and conservatives alike, but not as well for those who try to think things through.Restrictions placed on the market will usually be referred to as “protections” by liberals and “regulations” by conservatives. In truth, they are both correct, but they have different connotations.A conservative is more likely to be concerned with the affect that restrictions on the market will have on employers. A liberal is more likely to be concerned with the affect that they have on employees.A conservative will view the GDP as a measure of the success of the economy. A liberal will view the mean salary as a measure of the success of the economy. If the term “free market” is used as a panacea that should not be questioned, you are speaking with a conservativeIf you hear the term “unfettered capitalism” spoken with a sneer, you are likely listening to a liberal. If you are discussing economics and, in particular, the free-market system and/or capitalism and the person you speak with asks for specifics, you won’t be able to tell if they are liberal or conservative without deeper conversations. And, if that is the case, you are likely speaking with someone who has a mix of views that span a wider range of political beliefs than can be easily described as “conservative” or “liberal.”

I want to be a system administrator. How do I start?

I’ll answer this with a rhetorical question: Is my version of Quora broken, or did you not provide details? Typically when I come across posts like these inquiring for help, people will provide information, albeit lacking, of their current predicament, skill sets & experience: I want to be a Sysadmin, what do I need to learn to get in the door? • r/sysadminFor those that don’t provide much info, we need that info: What do you do now? How old are you? What are getting out of that is so horrible? Are you into technology, willing to face the possibility of burn out and/or other, unsavory things?I’ve been given this question a lot in a variety of forms over time. I’ve written to an extent about it & I think these posts will help quite a bit. If you find they don’t, come back here & let me know what questions are unanswered & I can try to write something up for you.I recommend reading these posts in order:/r/Sysadmin Frequently Asked Questions, an ongoing series …The Training Landscape - Airborne, MOOC, Self & Virtual/r/Sysadmin Frequently Asked Questions - Naming ServersIf these posts make sense to you & you understand what I’m getting at with how I describe things & my thought processes, being a System Administrator will be very straight forward for you, especially if you are willing to learn what you are talking about & care about what goes on underneath everything.Goodluck.

Why do people want to give our healthcare system to the government after what they have done to our school system?

Free health care is wonderful to people who don't want to work.

What kind of capacitor do i need? I have a 6000 watt system and a 5000 watt amp.?

when it comes to car audio all you care about is the RMS (continuous) wattage not the peak/max wattage because they mean nothing at all and the reason i say this is because of the wattage numbers you listed (i don't think anyone makes a 5000watt (RMS or peak/max) 2channel amp (kicker makes a mono-block 10000watt RMS amp)

if you are having charging issues you need to look into upgrading your big3 (wires) and if that does not solve it you can upgrade the cars battery, if you are still having problem you will need a higher output alternator (or second alternator depending on the car if possible) and then you can add extra batteries but just adding a capacitor is a waste of time and money not to mention it will add more stress to the cars stock charging system and make your charging issues WORSE

What parts do i need to put a system in my car?

Do I need a POS system? Why or why not?

Kind of hard to know the answer to this question without knowing anything about you or what you're attempting to do.  If you're, say, a five year old with a lemonade stand, then, no, you probably don't need one.  The old bookkeeping practices of counting your quarters and buying as much chocolate and Pokemon cards with your earnings will suffice. But if you're going to be running a retail operation of any kind, like a clothing store, or restaurant, or medical office, or artisanal lemonade store with the finest citrus the Mediterranean has to offer, or just about anything that needs a proper cash register, then, yes: you need a POS system, even if that  system is just a cash register and a handwritten ledger for accounting.  Lucky for you, there's been a proliferation of software companies developing fully featured and very affordable applications for just about any type of business.  If you need more specific answers, add some details to your question, and I'd be happy to steer you in the right direction.

What type of education system do students want in India?

A system that will not require me to mug up concepts and examples from my textbook but will give me a chance to apply them in real life too.A system which will not judge me by just seeing how much I can answer on paper but will see how I can apply what I have learnt by giving me experiments to do.A system which will give me the freedom to be what I want to be.A system which will not only concentrate on taking exams but on making each and every student capable for facing life.Lastly, a system which will make me love school and give me inspiring teachers instead of robots whose only aim in life is to complete the syllabus.

If students want to do away with the Electoral College, what system do they want in its place? A one-person-one-vote system? Would such a system make candidates ignore small states?

They wouldn’t “ignore states” so much as they would just think about people, not states. In a popular vote scenario, every person is equal, and state boundaries are essentially meaningless. A person in California is just as important as a person in Ohio.Right now, it isn’t small states vs big states, it is swing states vs non-swing states. The states that get the most attention are the ones that are most evenly divided. Hawaii is a small state, but it is relatively ignored because we all know it will go democrat. California is big, but it is also relatively ignored because we all know it will go democrat. Ohio and Pennsylvania and Florida are all rather big (not as big as California, of course) but they get a ton of attention because they are more evenly divided.
